As a former Jax resident I crave Andy's pizza and order it when even I come to town. I have never had ham or onions on a pizza like Andy's serves! Friendly employees, fresh food worth the wait (because they seem to be always busy). An unintended consequence at times because Of their success is accuracy ~ my last 4 orders only 1 was made correctly.... Simple missed toppings that I have brought to the restaurants attention. OMG !!! There prices have doubled if not almost triple!! We bought 2 coneys,1 grilled cheese and 2 onion ring! Almost 19.00 I asked how much a water bottle was and he said 2.55 for a store brand ! Do the math on that and for a 24 pack they are making at least a 55.00 profit!! Between not being open half the time and the cost of I think we will go elsewhere ! And they claim the reason they open and close middle of the day is hardly customers when clearly no one wants to work for them BECAUSE you can't make any w! How in the world does this place only have a 3 star average?? I grew up in Jackson and this was a main stay. After moving away I still crave it and always pick up coneys and or take and bake pizza to go when I come to visit. This place has some of the best coneys and pizza you will find in the Midwest. The lady snapped at me and said she doesn't have time to make just 2 coneys. I walked out and have not been back. The owners know how she is but doesn't care. I have always loved Andy's Pizzas. I looked forward to Thursdays when they had carry outs. Yesterday evening that all changed. In all fairness I'm not sure which of the two sent the order, but I presume the one closest to my home. First of all the Quality of the Piazza was terrible. I had ordered a soft crust, with extra cheese to enable an older citizen to consume it. It came dark brown to black crust. The texture alone would have made me return it, had I looked into the box, before accepting the contents. The cost was incongruent with the Quality. I paid $34 for the Pizza, which surprised me as well. Considering the cost of the product in relationship, I'm surprised they are still in business. I'm not sure if the business changed hands or has new ineffective management. I do know, from my experience and education in food service and Nutrition that normally foodservice managers often make Customer Satisfaction a criteria, especially knowing that they get state inspections that check this as well as other criteria. My only suggestion, is to pick up your pizza to ensure yours hasn't been sitting around, and that the quality you wish is there. If you must order home delivery, there are many other pizzerias, as well as other restaurants offering carry out foods. Also FYI, if a crust is softer, and not overcooked, it's rare that food poisoning would be an issue, as most are non filled crusts, and not lots of protein. read more

Yeah, owner's introduction page is nice but not really on par with what you will find. Each restaurant seems to set their own business hours which is not accurate with what they actually do, especially the store on Michigan Avenue. I would say customer service is not a top priority (again Michigan Avenue store). Pizza is still ok but not what it used to be. Too bad. Love the legacy of starting in 1966 but since then too much as swayed to the negative. Since then could've put some money into the facilities and people and created a really nice local pizza franchise that invites customers and creates a great product and customer experience. Order pizza and coneys which are normally good. When I went in to pick up my order every single person working was not wearing a mask. All the customers were wearing masks. I walked out am considered not picking up my order. I called a few times and could not get through. Went back in and counted 7 employees behind the counter not wearing masks or gloves. After paying for my food I asked if they had to wear masks the employee just didn't answer. The owner who was standing next to him said"we don't wear masks because of the carbon monoxide from the ovens. If you don't like it call the health department because I am not putting my health at risk." She then continued mumbling and walked away. I am glad she is not putting herself at risk but putting all her employees and customers at risk. We will not be back. I will make everybody I come in contact with know how they treat their customers. It's very sad as they have been in Jackson for nearly 50 years. read more

We went here because it was some parents old memories of where they met 30 years ago or something like that. I don't really have to much to say about this place besides the fact the waitress was nice. Service was very delayed and seemed to take forever for 2 large pizzas to get out. Never got a refill but I was drinking my lemonade slow I guess. When the pizzas did come it was your typical pizza I was told the sauce was different. The pizza was not life changing at all. Viewing the pie itself it was covered with ham which was different then the typical little bits but believe it took away from pizza itself. With so many pizza places around if in the area it would be easy to choose something else. I think a business being around for so long is great but some people just become custom to never changing eating places no matter the cause. read more

I used to work at Camp Storer. We used to get pizza from here all the time. It was amazingly delicious! Always felt like a treat! I mean no disrespect, but this is a tiny town and it is shocking that a place could put out this quality! I say this bc I grew up in PHX, have been to NYC many times, and now live in Austin. Andy's is a Jackson institution - a long-running, independent pizza joint that is adored by locals. Their pies are entirely made from scratch. One of my families favorite places for take out, great food while supporting local. Went in tonight to pick up our order and express a concern regarding our last order and was treated like dirt by the owner. The other younger women working were very nice and helpful and explained there has been some turnover with staff. Best pizza in Jackson, no one's even close., especially since the demise of the Pizza Factory. A fantastic old world crust that is thick enough and yet wonderfully crisp. The flavor of the sauce is perfect. I usually get sausage and anchovies... no number. The sausage is excellent and they told me it is carefully prepared for a great texture... not big squishy pellets like other places. And, to me, just enough cheese without overwhelming the sauce and toppings. I've had their coneys, and they're good, in Jackson's top three, but it's the pizza that makes Andy's special. read more

Have been to Andy's twice in the past couple weeks. Gave them a second chance after the first visit I did not see ONE SINGLE employee wearing a face mask to protect customers against covid. On the next visit - same thing.....Cooks, person cutting pizza and handling pizza into box and the wait staff, not one single one wearing a mask. NO THANKS!, I will not be back. Ordered pizza for carry out yesterday and wished I had just walked back out the door and left it. Absolutely no covid protections adhered to. Waitstaff, cooks, cashiers, and the person who walked out of kitchen and handed me my pizza, no masks. I watched my pizza come out of oven and cut with no gloves. The only mask I saw was a woman walking in as I was leaving. This is by far the most uncomfortable environment I have been in since the re-opening of eat in restaurants. Kind of a throwback to and old style pizzeria. We stopped here on our way to another Coney Island but figured this one was closer. Place was very busy with only one waitress working, but 5 people working behind the counter. I had the chicken sandwich which was pretty good and the fries weren't bad. Nothing exceptional . The pizza did looked good and hopefully it is for the price. 13.20 for a medium cheese pizza . Next time I'm in the area may have to stopping and check out that out. read more
