I always enjoy lunch and dinner at One North. Seating is roomy, but not noisy. Staff are top notch. The dining room and restrooms are clean and staff are conscientious with COVID precautions. My favorite menu items are the Bourbon Salmon and Spinach Salad. read more

Came in on a Sunday night about 7pm. Was seated immediately. Ordered the loaded tots as an appetizer. OMG!! AMAZING!! The tots are made from scratch. They were covered in a delicious white cheese sauce, sprinkled with crumbled bacon, and topped with sour cream and scallions. For my main entree I ordered the Jambalaya. It was delicious, and not too spicy. The portion is quite large, and probably could easily be split between 2 people. I had wanted to try some Carrot Cake (it's listed as a signature item, and a coworker absolutely raved about it), but I was informed by the server that they were out. The service, while friendly, was quite slow, and they weren't even that busy. My server only came by my table once (someone else brought me my appetizer and entree) It is for these two reasons that I give this place only 3 stars. read more

My first time and it's absolutely amazing!! I love the service...except for the couple moments the hostess wasn't at her station...other that that, our server was attentive and friendly. She brought my dad a fresh cup of coffee instead of refilling!! The food came rather quickly and was warm. Everything was so flavorful, my dad didn't even use salt or pepper! The serving size was perfectly proportionate to what we like, and we both still had to take some home. I would like to give a 5 star except that I know that nothing is perfect..a 4.9 star rating is my overall score! Only found chicken at the bottom of one half and the other half is the same, did not taste any bacon although I saw a couple crumbs of bacon. The fries as usual were delicious. The service was super slow, with multiple excuses. The alcoholic drink took a very long time and we were told the order was misplaced or lost. The tater tots were also delicious. Will return at some point but will order something different. Oh yes the buffalo chicken wrap was also delicious, my daughter let me try it and it was full of chicken. We were able to make a last minute reservation for 20 people on a Friday night. Large space, but didn't feel crowded. Wait staff was attentive and efficient, especially with our large group. I had the tacos with chicken which comes with rice and a small portion of chips and salsa. All very good! The rest of my family also enjoyed their food: burger, salad, baha fish wrap. The only complaint was about the French onion soup was not very hot. Very unique and eclectic menu. I also tried some of the brownie explosion dessert. It was amazing! read more

We were seated by a host that did not speak to us. We were taken to an open-air portion of the restaurant that was not very busy. Not one waitstaff ever made contact with us. I informed a bartender that we were leaving after ten minutes since no one ever approached our table. There were several employees present that I could see. I ordered French onion soup and jambalaya, the soup had good flavor but wasn't as hot as I would have expected. The jambalaya is suppose to be one of their signature dishes and I really like good jambalaya, it was not jambalaya more like brown gravy over mushy chicken pieces the first bite I took was a piece of shrimp and the tail was still on it, I tried a few more bite before the server asked how things were, at that time I told her it wasn't what I was expecting she very graciously offered to replace it. Went here at 11:30am -shortly after they opened and they sat us at a table that had food on it and gave menus that were sticky and clearly not cleaned. The food was decent-but not worth $11 for a pulled pork sandwich that was basically just warmed from the day before. Super bummed about it as the restaurant looks very pretty from the outside and has cool decor inside. I will try again maybe once they get in a groove. Had an absolutely great experience for our first time here! Our server for lunch "Amie?" Was very knowledgeable of the menu and directed us towards what would best fit us best. The "Torpedo shrimp" appetizer was cooked just right and delivered in minutes. The "Black & Blue Salad" was executed to perfection with the right balance of ingredients and steak cooked perfectly! Now let's talk about the "Avocado Salmon Wrap" that we were hesitant to order because of the fact that salmon was going in a wrap, is not a common idea, turned out to be an amazing choice recommend by our server. My wife and I went in around 7:30 on a Wednesday night. We were seated immediately and our waitress Vanessa was at our table within seconds. We ordered a bottle of wine, the loaded tater tots, onion rings and a couple of burgers. After reading some reviews, I was keeping a close eye on things. As you can see by the rating, we were pleased. With any new business, it takes a little time to get things right. I think this place will do just fine. The ticket time was 12 minutes, cant beat that.... The onion rings and tater tots were awesome. The burgers were slightly over cooked but still very tasty. I do think the wait staff needs to be trained to open a wine bottle. Vanessa seemed to struggle a bit and also left all the foil on, which needed to be removed to insure you don't spill it all over the table when pouring it. Unfortunately, we see this at a lot of restaurants. We will definitely go back. read more

it started off fine we all got out appetizers then it ended we had to beg for drinks I didn't have one for my main meal at all. once we could ask for drinks they did bring the alcohol within. 10 min but the rest of us hing out dry.. we did get some about 44 min later... when I tried to ask the manager about a dessert I didn't even get to ask my question (nor was I able to ever order it) he was asking about a meal he brought to the table that was not ours that was all he wanted to know is about the meal.. that's what he snapped at me anyway.. when it came time to pay the waitress had my credit card for over 20 min the second time because she didn't put the whole meal on our bill meal wasn't on the same bill as our appetizer.. she was also rude before and after taking the card for the second time .. I pointed it out I could of just not paid the larger one even though we had them both on the tray with the credit card. What food we received was ok some was cold or Luke warm at best but three people wanted additional items but that was not happening for we had to beg for the service we received. If you can't handle it then turn people away!! That is a horrible experience otherwise !! read more

I visited this restaurant on June 12, 2019. The many windows makes for a bright and cheery experience. The bartender was very attentive. After ordering the salmon (no glaze and extra broccoli), I settled into an Alaskan Amber beer, a reasonably priced offering. One North has over 20 brews on tap.The APV of each is listed on the rear wall of the spacious bar for easy referral. The salmon was prepared exactly as I had ordered it. The restaurant was reasonably busy for a Wednesday, and I experienced no delays in getting my food or drink. I spoke with the manager, Missy, and found her very friendly and informative. The restaurant is owned by a local businessman and almost all of the staff is from Jackson. I enjoyed this visit. read more
