Disclaimer: the booking form is not a confirmed appointment until you hear back. Once you speak with a representative, a link will be sent to your phone via text message and a credit card will be needed to hold your appointment. And yes, that also means that if you are late to your appointment or last-minute cancel your appointment, you will be charged accordingly. The drive to the salon was easy, the area to turn into the plaza, wasn't cramped, in the parking lot was spacious enough, and most importantly, it was free! I just hate when you go to places and have to pay for parking when you're already paying for services, I'm a firm believer that store should validate. Anywho, once you enter the salon, you're met with bright lights in a spacious salon. There is the front desk where checking is super simple and I was taken back quickly, and they sent me up with Betty at the chair. Once I was seated, she asked me if there was anything that I wanted to drink, which is nice. Most of the time when I go to some places that should be offering this service, they don't even ask so it's nice when you don't have to be the one to ask them. Then, once I got my wine and tried to settle into the massage chair, she started getting to work on these dogs LOL. She was very good and thorough, and didn't overdo anything. Nails Salon, I feel like they're not careful, or they don't care, and then they'll literally grind the skin off your fingers and toes. The only con I have with this place is that the massage chairs are slightly confusing and difficult to use. I was like should it be this hard? My pedicure finished around 3:30, so I stayed, ordered food, and even got waxing done while waiting. That's already me being flexible. At 4:05 PM, instead of starting my appointment, I was told it would be another 15 minutes. That would make it a 55-minute wait past my scheduled manicure time. The technician (Lee) wasn't even working on another client, he was in the back on a break. That is beyond disrespectful and a complete disregard for people's time. It gets worse. During my waxing, I politely told the technician she missed some small hairs on the side of my lip and asked if she could remove them with tweezers. I had my eyes closed and instead she reapplied wax without telling me and literally ripped off my skin. Not irritation, not redness, actual skin. It burned immediately and you could visibly see the damage. When I went to pay and declined to pay for the waxing (for obvious reasons), I was told I was "exaggerating" and that my skin was just sensitive. No accountability, no apology, just denial. Meanwhile, I'm standing there with visible injury on my face. I left without getting my manicure because waiting nearly an hour past an appointment while the technician takes a break is unacceptable. Adianez was my tech for the first visit, and while she was very nice, I don't speak Spanish fluently, so communication was difficult, especially since I had to show her the technique for reptile nails using blooming gel. I recently came back for another plain red set and was assigned a different tech Heydi, who was visibly frustrated when she couldn't achieve the sharp stiletto shape I was requesting, and passed me off to Adianez since she had done my last set. The salon doesn't feel welcoming, especially when the techs seem annoyed and don't pay as much attention to detail as I have become accustomed to with my last long-term tech. My nails always break as well and retention isn't great - I had to come back in to get a nail fixed for each set (for which they charge $7) and since my last nail fix on my current set, three more nails have broken. I'm pretty disappointed, and don't recommend this salon if you are particular about your nails/nail art and want nails that last.
