Stopped by on our way to Big Bear Lake. We had a yummy breakfast sandwich, they had a gluten free option for us. Not gluten free on the everything bagel looked amazing. Our Lattes were excellent and the atmosphere was warm, fun and welcoming. Our 16 mo old daughter had a great time watching the model train Choo Choo around.

One of our favorite spots in town! One fine day has the nicest folks working, we always talk to Laura who greets us as old friends, and has become one! We love the big comfy chairs where we play wordle while we wait for the BEST breakfast sandwich you will ever have. Great coffee, great sandwiches, and all of their baked goods are incredible. There's plenty of seating options, and a cute little train going around the ceiling that makes the atmosphere warm and homey. Perfect spot to meet friends, or to zone out for a little while.

I LOOOOOOOOVE one fine day. It is one of my favorite places to go to. The drinks are fantastic and when it's winter the soup is so silky. The ambiance is soooo amazing. I love all the trains and lights. It's the best cafe in Tehachapi. Which is where I live. I don't know why my profile says I don't live there? Whatever. Anyways this place is so amazing and awesome sauce. It does take a little while to get the drinks out. So expect that. Also the people there are very nice. I LOVE YOU LAUREN!

A very cute spot in Tehachapi. Laid back and cozy shop perfect for meeting friends. The pastries are the stars. Portuguese egg tart delicious and the Dubai chocolate brownie was rich two bites and I was done but it going in the freezer for nibbling. The coffees were ok the tirumusu just felt like a mocha and the vanilla latte was good. The atmosphere is where it is at. On street parking available.

Great Food and Cozy Atmosphere at One Fine Day Café On my way to Vegas, I felt tired and hungry when I reached Tehachapi. So I got off Highway 58 and turned into downtown, looking for a place to grab a cup of coffee and a light sandwich. A quick search on Yelp led me to One Fine Day. The young man working there seemed a bit overwhelmed but was very friendly and welcoming. I asked for a latte, and while he was making it, I checked the menu and decided on an avocado sandwich. The young man delivered my latte and ensured it was how I wanted it. When it arrived, the sandwich was perfectly delicious! I enjoyed every bite of the sandwich and took my time drinking the latte, relaxing a bit before getting back on the road. One Fine Day is a very cozy and relaxing café, and the food is delicious. The service, at least when I was there, was great, and I enjoyed my visit very much. I will definitely stop by there next time I am driving through! For anyone planning to visit, they also offer free Wi-Fi, which is a great plus if you need to catch up on some work or just browse the internet while enjoying your meal. The café's location is convenient, just a short drive from the highway, making it an ideal stop for travelers. The menu has a good variety, including vegetarian options, which is always a bonus.

Anytime I travel, the first thing I look for on Yelp is coffee shops. All my fellow coffee drinkers know exactly what I'm talking about. Tehachapi did not have many, but this one did have some good reviews. Ironically enough, it was less than 1 mile from where I am staying at an Airbnb. My local coffee shop in San Diego spoils me with a drink called the iced Shakerato. When I visit coffee shops, I don't even look at the menu anymore. I just ask if they can try and re-create my favorite drink. It's pretty simple with oatmilk, a quad shot of espresso, and some agave shaken up. I just took my first sip and they did an amazing job. The Barista behind the counter, I believe her name was Laura, please forgive me if I messed that up, but she was amazing. Super friendly, could tell right away I was looking for coffee, lol, and did not hesitate to try and re-create my drink. She even gave me permission to be honest with her if it didn't taste good, and she would try it again. I love that kind of customer service. As for the shop itself, the outside does not do the inside justice. It's a little underwhelming outside but once you get in it has a really cool vibe. It's kind of a hybrid between an Italian café and a modern coffee shop. It's definitely a blend of the two as they do have a full menu of food, along with coffee and specialty drinks. I am going to be here for five days and I will definitely be back each morning to get my coffee.

We have been here a few time and always get the friendliest service and best tasting treats! We usually get the smoothies or açaí bowls but decided to try breakfast today! I subbed the breakfast sandwich that should have had a brioche bun for croissants, and my husband got a bagel egg breakfast sandwich with avocado smash. We share a pineapple tea. It was all amazing!

One fine day indeed. What a fun and creative menu! We stopped in while passing through town and instantly loved the welcoming vibe. The staff was genuinely friendly, and service was quick and efficient. The chicken salad croissant was a standout--warm, buttery croissant paired perfectly with the chilled, flavorful filling. The bánh mì version was just as delicious. And the drinks? Beautifully presented and incredibly refreshing. Highly recommend.

Everything we order here is amazing in presentation and flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and a great reflection of our community and its culture. Although as locals we have our regular favorites, my husband is recently gluten free. Laura immediately offered gluten free bread for his breakfast sandwich. Now that's his go to. Everyone we take there loves it. Whether visiting or just running errands downtown, this is a "must" stop for a pleasant pick me up. read more

Today is the grand opening and the word has spread. I don't write many reviews but I had to on this place. I ordered a raspberry green apple Italian soda and it was perfect along with my brownie it made for a nice treat. Employees are very friendly and it's the same owner as 4 Seasons. First time here very small interior. I came in for a sandwich excited to try their homemade take on mayo but they use just plain Sysco mayo and add things to it. Nothing is organic or real healthy per the lady taking orders. Rather than leaving ordering nothing I bought a really delicious coffee. But won't be back. read more

First one coming here. Wife found out about this place on Instagram so we want to check it out. As soon as you walk in, we were greeted by the friendly staff. Made us feel welcomed. They helped us with recommendations for the food and coffee options. The place feel very cozy and Inviting. Love the decor and having Tehachapi vibe, has a toy train that rides around the top of the ceiling which is really cool. As far as the food we got, I got the Chicken Avocado Egg salad and wife got the Deviled Egg Salad. We paired that with an Iced Caramel Macchiato coffee. They bring your order to you while your relaxing. Everything was delicious. Definitely have to come back and try more things along with different drinks they have here. Must come here. Diamond in the not so rough! lol. Tehachapi is well known and over the years I presume has gained some notoriety. This small, homey cafe is the best! Their sandwiches are a smaller portion so if you're hungry go with a DOUBLE ORDER but they pack a delicious punch! I tried the Chicken Salad Croissant, Turkey Croissant Banh Mi and their Tuna Avocado toast and all three were AMAZING!! Must check out and stop by. The ambiance is relaxing and staff super friendly. A hidden gem in Tehachapi! I have loved EVERYTHING I have tried there, but my favorite are the açaí bowls. A great new place in Tehachapi that is so different than any other place here. The food is great the atmosphere is wonderful especially the trains that run up top. Being a railroad town, it's feeling is warm and comfortable for this community. Food is outstanding. This is the owners second place in town. The first is Four Seasons on the corner of Tehachapi Bl. and Curry St. All of the food is fresh and I personally haven't had anything bad and I've tried almost everything. Kudos to the owner for trying new things in this town. AAA+ rating from me. read more

You need to RUN and not walk to try One Fine Day Cafe! You are immediately greeted by the cashier who treats you like your long lost bestie. She is so nice, friendly and pleasant to talk to. Good customer service is rare these days so I really treasure it when I find it! There's so many delicious looking food on the menu that you will have to come back again and again to try them all. I got the double chicken salad croissant to share and I'm sad I had to share! I've never had such flavorful and tasty chicken salad. We also purchased a few baked goodies and my kids said they were just as delicious. The drink choice is endless and the ones we tried were good :) already planning on when I can visit again! read more

On our recent trip to Tehchapi we went to One Fine Day several times. The staff was friendly and the drinks were delicious. So many wonderful new and creative treats. The ube sundae and passion fruit smoothies were wonderful. The pastries were delicious. We will be back. read more

Like with any new business consistency needs to be watched. The Deviled egg is the safest of all toasts but the size of toppings is fairly inconsistent and the chicken salad almost totally was missing chicken, apart from one piece of shredded chicken, a slither! There is a blandness to all, i recommend you add red onion to all and hope cracked pepper/oregano becomes available. Some staff members need to adopt indoor voices or appropriate subject matter. read more

I waited 4 minutes to get order, and another 5 before I asked for a refund. i was on the clock and waited while the Barista chatted with a friend in line talking about meeting at a bar or something on Friday. Bu the time I waited 5 minutes after the order, the same people were still waiting for their drink. A couple that came in after me got there's before I did. 9:40 by the time a left with no coffee. No,"Someone will be right with you" No apology for the wait time. She offered me a coffee instead of the Americano I paid for, then I thought I paid via card, but I paid cash. The cashier couldn't tell on his end that I paid cash. $6.50. No customer awareness. I won't be back. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this crew was awful... Really bad look for those people. I wish them the best!

Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed.
