Man I cant say enough good things about Ward Customs!…read more I have a 2017 dyna that needed a new battery and some new front brake pads. So i went ahead and bought those items and called Ward Customs to see if they would install for me. After a phone conversation, I learned that it is very tricky to have companies install parts that they don't provide. Reason being, 1. They cant warranty the product, definitely if its aftermarket. 2. Ensuring that its OEM part. 3. If it fails, then they would be responsible for fixing a part they didn't provide and or warranty. So after that i decided to return the parts that i had and spend a little bit more money with WC and have them provide it. I'm glad i did because the one i originally bought was after market and wrong lol To make a long story short out of all this, I'm giving Ward Customs a 5 star review because Sam really took the time to explain all this to me instead of just brush me off over the phone. He did a great job with everything and even dropped my bike off to me at my house on a Saturday which was great! I will definitely be bringing my bike here for anything else that i need in the future! A big shoutout to Sam and the team over at Ward Customs! You guys are great!!

I was quoted $250 for a back break job on my 2007 Harley trike via text. I told the mechanic I had…read morealready purchased the parts myself and I brought them with me. I told him I had rotors and pads but had limited knowledge about the actual issue and names of parts. I had to ride from Scappoose which was over an hour drive on bad breaks which was not very safe. When I get there he takes apart my bike and tells me I need a new caliper. He then told me that he had never worked on my kind of bike before and his quote was going to go from a couple hours to over a half a days work. He never asked me what kind of trike kit I had. He proceeded to put my bike back together and charge me $125 which I paid. I actually have a mechanic I usually work with, but he didn't have the proper lift to do the job. When I told him what happened he said the caliper was in the box of parts and I already had one?!?!? The mechanic didn't even look inside the box of parts I gave him?!?! The part to do the job was sitting a 20 feet from him the entire time. So this is looking quite odd to me now. I must add that I am female. Over the years I have had many people and mechanics try to take advantage of me because I am a female rider and previously always paid someone to work on my bike. I am not saying that is what this guy was trying to do. I am saying that almost every single person I have dealt with besides my current personal mechanic (who rules) has been dishonest in one way or another and taken advantage in some way because of my lack of knowledge. Finally, I decided to learn so when something doesn't seem right, I ask questions. . So I texted the mechanic that the part he needed was in the box and asked him if he was going to do the right thing? I don't know if it was a mistake or on purpose at this point. But I paid him $125 that day. He texts me back and tells me he doesn't like the way I am coming across??!?! At first I apologized via text but then I realized I wasn't the one who should be apologizing in this situation-the mechanic was. I drive all the way out there and then he tells me the job will be more then double what he had previously quoted, said I needed a part I didn't need and charges me $125. And I'm the bad guy for questioning that?? He said I told him I had rotor and pads. Am I a mechanic? I didn't even know what a caliper was, and he just takes my word for what I say I have? Who doesn't open the box of parts and look?? He said it was just a mistake and he will refund my money. He also said I should have handled it better!?!?!? What the actual F man?! He then stopped responding to my texts. Let me add he answered me very quickly when I texted and asked him what he was going to do and pissed him off. I honestly don't think he was trying to scam me.Thats not the reason I mentioned it. I wanted to include details and explain what has happened to me in the past. This review is just about his attitude and behavior. I personally think he was embarrassed by his mistake and took it out on me because he didn't want to work with me anymore because I called him out.
