This restaurant is like none around. Awesome service, low key environment, with prices that don't break your bank. The owners are out meeting all the guest, hosting, serving, and talking to customers and the food and drinks are absolutely amazing! I had the Shrimp and Grits and my girlfriend had the bourbon burger with fries and the homemade ranch both left us full and our taste buds were dancing. Fantastic find on GR west side. My wife and I had Friday evening dinner there. Great happy hour drink specials. We shared the French Onion soup which was excellent. It had a distinctive "beefy" flavor and was very light. The Southern Cali Cobb salad was great with its avocados and buttermilk dressing. Then we shared the Turkey Rueben sandwich which was also excellent. Service provided by Grayson was wonderful. Really, the only criticism I can offer is that the parking on the side of the building had no lighting whatsoever when we came out. Very dark! Everything else was wonderful. read more

We stopped at One Bourbon after dinner down the road for a night cap. We sat on their back porch area which was great (minus the super random burnt apartment view of the building next door). It was a chiller summer evening and the owner Megan turned on the heaters. We ordered drinks and had some of their salted Carmel bacon popcorn. I drooled over people's dinner plates as they came out (polenta and chicken n waffles = southern food) and we decided we'd eat there next time out. read more

We had a 45 minute wait on a Saturday night which isn't terrible but the service was great for how busy they were and the food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun the only thing I would suggest would be for them to update the bathrooms. We started out by joining the wait list via Yelp. The app told us we were 16th on the list with approximately a 45 min to an hour and 15 min wait so we park and check in 15 min later. We were lucky enough to grab a seat at the bar while we waited for our table. Service at the bar was fantastic and the drinks were top notch. But our wait time for our table ended up being closer to 2 hours and we were not only hungry but a bit perturbed. We ended up ordering food at the bar, and when the food finally arrived it was so so. I don't know if we'll be back, the atmosphere was nice but the wait was definitely not worth it. read more

Upon arrivial, myself and my family members were rudly asked to put our masks on, which I did however, I did not put the elastic straps around my ears. The person in charge quickly demanded that the straps go behind the ears before we could be seated (I was holding it fimly in place over my mouth and nose). There was only one other group seated indoors at the time so there was absolutely no threat to anyone. The service was not great either! Our server was slow, our water bottles were empty, and we had no silverware (which by the way, when we did get the "silverware" it was plastic). We also waited a long time for our bill. Wow, this place was fantastic. Went there for the first time yesterday and am disappointed it's taken me this long to eat/drink! Their cocktails were well made, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced where they weren't too boozy but also not weak! As for the food, it was just as good as the cocktails. Enjoyed the vegetarian Shepard's pie and couldn't find it all. The lentils were perfectly prepared, the onions/celery/carrots gave it the taste that a traditional Shepard's pie would have, so you don't even miss the meat! Lastly, but more importantly, the awesome staff. Michelle was our server, she gave great recommendations and was attentive to her diners. Also go to meet one of the owners (Megan) who wanted to ensure we were having a great time and enjoying ourselves. We came in for late lunch/early dinner this past Saturday. Overall, we really enjoyed the place. The server was very friendly and attentive. She indulged my mother's quirkiness in tow lol. My husband had the seafood chowder and said he would come back the next day for more if he could. I wasn't overly impressed with the fried chicken dinner. Way too much pepper and the beef chunks were dry. My daughter had the vegetarian shepherds pie and the vegetables were crunchy and the potatoes dissatisfying. One word, disappointed. Initially, when One Bourbon opened, we were impressed by the food. It has continued to go downhill since. Twice we've had the fried chicken (a staple at a restaurant like this) and it's been rubbery and dry. I tried the pan seared white fish tonight and it was fishy and brown. We came to GR to celebrate a birthday. Love that this restaurant would reserve table for us! Mary was an excellent server. We enjoyed the hot cheese dip (very shareable) which she recommended along with delicious Old Fashioneds. I had the Bourbon Burger and it was the best burger I've had in a long time. I'm not sure if there were kinks in the kitchen since the restaurant is so new, but I can't say for sure if I'll be back since there are so many other great spots in the area. Make sure you save room for dessert because the pies are to die for. But even better than the food was the service. Just had our first trip to One Bourbon and we were more than impressed! The food was great, service was even better. We split the create your own Poutine as an appetizer, delicious! I had the chicken sandwich, also delicious! The deviled egg mayo was to die for, I'd love to know the recipe for that. My boyfriend got the Mac and cheese which was also good. Overall wonderful service, our waitress checked on us the perfect amount, and I believe a manager as well as another server came to ask about refills as well. (Our server had already asked and we declined, but it was still nice to know they noticed and didn't want us to go without if we needed something). I really had high hopes for One Bourbon, but if fell short. The lighting for a dinner service is too much and should be dimmed to create more of an ambiance and the food was just ok. Definitely 3 stars on this place. Great, clean atmosphere. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and made the mistake of getting Nashville Hot. I do love spicy food. But this was real extreme. Sadly there was absolutely no flavor on the chicken besides flaming hot spicy-ness. No salt...nothing. The bun, sauce and pickles were really great on a more positive note. The fries were intended to be really good but they were a little lukewarm. Now on to the beverage...I ordered a My Boy Jack. Very tart and a little sweet. I do like the grapefruit flavor. I'm not even a bourbon/ whiskey drinker but it was good. Will I come back to this place? Probably not because there's tons of other places that are worth my coins. read more

I have been to One Bourbon a few times for dinner and drinks and the food, drinks, and atmosphere is always great! Most recently, I used One Bourbon for my rehearsal dinner space and it was the perfect place to host. 1. The space upstairs is a hidden gem. It's private from the restaurant portion and has it's own dinning space as well as separate bar area. We were also able to utilize the AV as needed. 2. I can't say enough great things about Meagan. From start to finish she was AMAZING to work with. Super easy going, flexible, and super helpful for an overwhelmed bride! She also asked if anyone in our group had a food allergy (more than just gluten or lactose) which we did have a peanut allergy. During the night of the dinner she made it a point to identify him to her servers and let him know what did and didn't have nuts. She went the extra mile and I can't say how much we (or the allergy's mom) appreciated her! 3. The food was great- we went with the family style option and everyone was happy. The pricing was within our budget and we were so happy with everything. On our quest to find rehearsal dinner spaces OB didn't show up and I want to make sure the word gets out that this is a fantastic spot not just for dinner but for other events too! This is an excellent spot. Amazing craft cocktails and good food. We had the deviled eggs, charcuterie board and burger. All were great. Other places on Bridge Street get more hype, but this might be the best. Only (very minor) issue is that it gets kind of chilly in the bar area on a cold night. Great work. The hostess said a table wait was going to be about 45 minutes but a group was going to be leaving from the bar shortly and we could sit there and food could be ordered from the bar. I picked this restaurant for my husband's birthday. Seemed like the menu had a variety of food items which was nice to see. The chicken Cajun appetizer was really good (pita bread warm & dip hot). There wasn't as much kick as we were expecting. My husband likes gumbo so he ordered it as an entree. I asked him how it was and he said It was ok. I ordered vegatarian shepherds pie and added sirloin it was good not great. I think a lot of the food doesn't have as much flavor as I would expect. We ordered bourbon sundae because of the peanut butter fudge there was no peanut butter flavor at all. I was very disappointed because it was vanilla ice cream with cherries. Nothing exciting for me. I was also disappointed that I mentioned to the hostess it was my husband's birthday and nothing special was done. Waitress saying "happy birthday" or I hear we're celebrating a special day today or something. The ratings were high, it was close to our home and I wanted a location that is local. Not a fan. I have only been here to drink and I found the bourbon selection to be good. Friendly bar staff and I haven't had to wait for a seat at the bar. My only critical feedback would be to dim the lights after dark. It is too bright in there and less illumination would create a warmer feeling in my opinion. read more
