The guacamole was fresh, and the sour cream added a nice cool balance to the plate. Stylish decor, clean (restroom too) dining and it looks like it has quite a beverage selection. We didn't get drinks but my husband and I shared a shrimp quesadilla and the elote dip. Quesadilla was large, filled with goodies, and tasty- the bell peppers and cheese are the stars in this one. Elote.. something felt missing for me. It just wasn't as flavorful has I have had elsewhere. Also the chips didn't make it any better. If they were handmade chips or even just different bulk ones it would have helped a little bit. I got the Baja tacos with red snapper and veggie taco. Both were great - the red snapper was served with avocado slices and delicious sauce. The veggie taco had feta and various grilled veggies. Both items were fresh. I recommend trying them for lunch! read more

I really enjoyed this place under the previous ownership (Altos), and I'm happy to say that under the new ownership, the food is still delicious. The in-person dining experience also has a nice presentation. However, I've noticed some disappointing changes, especially with portion sizes. The kids' plate portions are very small, and during my recent takeout visit, the tortilla was forgotten and no beverage was offered. I also ordered a burrito and asked for it to be extra grilled, but it wasn't grilled at all. Chips are no longer included automatically--you have to ask for them. Despite ordering two meals for takeout (over $30 total), only one small bag of chips was given, which two people had to split. On a previous visit, I ordered a bowl to-go, and again the portions were small and the presentation was messy. Still hoping they can find a better balance as they settle in, but for now, takeout feels like less value for the price. read more

Service is excellent Great Ambience. My first impressions of the restaurant was positive. I was a bit confused why the place was not packed out for lunch. @The Manager or Owner. Here are a few minor suggestions regarding what I ordered and left behind. 1- The chips are terrible- Like a cheap generic Tostitos or liquor store Nacho Chips. 2- the Red Chili Sauce finishes odd.. like it has soy sauce or something odd in it. The green sauce is good. 3- The beans need more flavor. 4- the Meat has a gamy after taste. Consider doing an honest study on your food with random people to provide feed back. My wife and I go to many Mexican restaurants and your missing a few flavors.. the taste is bland. This is honest feedback. Speaking For someone who is health conscious like myself.. I know there a lot of Mexican restaurants around but this one is by far one of the best if you are looking for a healthy meal with good quality ingredients! My brother always orders burritos everywhere we go and he said it was one of the best he's ever tried. My mom and I had the soup and salad combo and it was delicious! Some places use too much salt in their tortilla soup but this was perfect! My daughter's children's meal was a big portion of everything she enjoys. Yummy and healthy! We stopped in while checking out the shops at McHenry Village and had a great lunch here. I got a mixed greens salad with just tomatoes and grilled chicken breast. The chicken was seasoned and juicy. I used the regular red salsa as "salad dressing" and LOVED their salsa. I tried all of the four salsas and they were all amazing.
