The Vested Interest is probably one of the most organized shops I've visited, so the digging isn't too intense and the gems are really not too hard to find. Need a sweater? Well, go to the sweater section. Shoes? All in one place. Blazers, coats, outerwear? All separated so even sifting between different kinds of jackets isn't tough. You get the point. AND on top of all of that, it is very well sorted between sizes. My mom comes here often and has gotten a few great pieces for herself and as gifts over the years. And on my last trip I walked away with two beautiful coats! One was Jones New York and still had the original tags for $400.... I walked out with it for $80. The woman working there when I stopped in was super helpful, gave me some opinions when I asked for them and was very kind. When I didn't ask for any help, she just let me look around and shop without feeling rushed. Excited to pop back in every once and awhile! If you are looking for any gifts for the holidays, I definitely recommend shopping this great small second hand shop.

The quality is consistently high and as I…read morewrite this, I am looking at a mahogany breakfast table, Waterford goblets and two rugs I scored at HAD. I have consigned items and was treated in a businesslike way. I liked it. No emotion, no fuss: yes to this item, no to that item. The consignment agreement (which is on the web site, btw) plainly states that items not picked up after the 12 week selling period become the property of HAD. So I am mystified at the other reviews. A consignor should pick up his/her items or expect them to be forfeited. That is the deal. Anyway,I am off to Summit again today with two hooked rugs and a lot of crystal, hoping to consign. Maybe the angels of consignment shops will have a great dog bed....

My husband and I called them to see if they had the exact size love seat we were aiming for before we made the effort to drive over. Cynthia spent the time with me on the phone to go over her inventory and the prices. We decided to show because she said regardless they had a lot of nice things. We found EXACTLY what we needed and then some. Our living room is adorable now and I have to refrain myself from going back to this shop too soon because I'll max out my cc. Spent $1500 for a love seat and two upholstered COMFY paisley chairs. This set would have easily cost $3000+ Yay!

Their sales don't make sense either...just give me a percentage off not BOGO especially on items I don't want. I've also been disappointed that they've gone political and advertise only who they want to win. Politics should have no part of a thrift shop.
