Came here to sell some old jewelry that's been sitting around for years with no personal attachment it was finally decided to part ways. I called and spoke with Mike who was very straightforward. I missed out that day but went the next. Not sure if it was just me but I was getting a New Orleans vibe which is not bad. It's a cool little store and its busy. Not one person walked in without knowing Mike from what I observed. Honestly I was directed and went to him based on Google Reviews. So he has 5.0 stars and yes, well deserved. I had the same exact pieces that Mike offered 20% more than 2 others buyers. I had a ballpark figure of what I had in my posession based on the last 2 stores yet 20% more was a no brainer for me. Yes gold is up, yes it holds its value for its entire history, sure Mike will either sell these pieces or he will get them together and sell everything when the price is right. That's what he does. I was very happy with his offer, his obvious known presence from customers and his honesty. There is one piece I have no interest in selling but Mike did give me a great idea which will lead me back. After hearing such great things about this store, I decided to take a trip and visit Unique Gold and Diamonds. As soon as I walked in the door, I was immediately greeted my the owner, Mike. I explained that I was looking to have an anniversary designed for my upcoming anniversary. My husband hates jewelry shopping, so he left it up to me to buy what I wanted. Mike showed me samples of rings that were similar what I had envisioned, and explained to me why one style would look better than another to go along with my engagement and wedding ring. I met Mike the first time I came in here back in 2017 to see what kind of price they would offer on me on a broken gold chain I was trying to sell. By the way, Michael is a jeweler and a yogi too! My 2 friends & I wanted 'grown up girlfriend bracelets' reflecting our supportive relationship for each other. We decided to use our initials A -R- K, but had no idea what else we wanted. Then we went to see Michael who patiently listened to 3 women decide on 1 style of bracelet that he had to create in 3 different sizes. He custom designed the bracelets, even setting the little diamonds in each of the individual letters. Plus he found the most unique chain that sparkles like diamonds. It's called a half moon cut beaded chain. Gorgeous and UNIQUE! He really made all 3 of us very happy! Of course while we were there, we found rings, a rosary bead designed bracelet, half moon cut beaded necklaces and also had repairs done to some of our older jewelry. I recently stopped by just to have a very sentimental ring resized/touched up and now have a permanent place to get all my jewelry tended to. Brought in my engagement ring for a little fine tuning, i was having a terrible reaction to i tiny dot of Rose gold that was under my setting. I went to Unique Gold & Diamonds to purchase two wedding bands after being brutally ripped off at Jared's a few years ago. The gentlemen there told me about the unique qualities of the ring and the diamond, gave me options on what could be done and gave me their overall opinions. Then, not only did they resize, they kept the same unique look on the underside that I was afraid was going to be lost. They also polished the 30 year old ring and had it looking brand new. Here at unique they truly live up to there name! My fiancé's first gift she ever gave me was a bracelet that was made of string with a cross. She asked Mike to make one as a rosary bracelet .
