I was in need of a new battery for my watch, so I checked Yelp reviews for jewelers in the area and found that Danson was highly rated. The salesman was very nice and told me they could replace my battery no issue. The total came to $32. This seemed very high to me, but not having had a battery replacement before, I figured this was standard. Recently I needed to get another watch battery replaced and went to another jeweler and they only charge $10 for any brand watch! I was completely ripped off. I do recognize that it can be worth paying more for higher quality work, however this was a simple watch battery replacement. They did beautiful work with the stones from our inherited jewelry, and designed something that PERFECTLY fit my highest hopes even when I didn't know exactly what they were. I've been dealing with Jack and Dale for years. They are the only people I trust when it comes to jewelry. They're good honest people and they treat you like family. I've recommended friends and family to go see them, and when I ask them about their experience afterwards, not one of them had a bad thing to say. Here's one of my experiences: So, just like their ads say, they buy gold. My mom had me bring them some of her old gold that she didn't want anymore. They gave me a great price for it. My mom was thrilled when I gave her the money...it was more than she expected. As a matter of fact, I need to go back over there some time soon with a pair of her earring so they can change the posts for her. I really enjoyed my experience at Danson Jewelers. They were actually the 5th jeweler that I visited for engagement rings, and I ended up choosing them for two reasons... First, they had extremely nice rings to choose from. Not only did they have great rings in stock, but were also very open to order the rings that they didn't have in stock. Additionally, they showed me multiple diamonds, and did a great job working with me to pick the perfect ring for my fiancé (which I ended up choosing from their own stock). Second, their customer service was off the chart. If I sent them an email, they responded the same day and sometimes within minutes. I felt like I was really being taken care of. Anyways, my fiancé ended up getting a ring that was perfect and she loves it to the point that she can't stop looking at it! After I proposed, we had to resize the ring about 1 size down and Jack and Dale were very helpful, while showing my fiancé the same great service I experienced myself. read more

They are as professional as you can get but at the same time make you feel like you're having a conversation with a friend. There was a snag with my engagement ring in which I needed it in a timely manner, they could have easily told me that it was going to be delayed and out of their hands. But no, they went above and beyond to deliver on their promise! That right there is what separates the best from the rest. These guys are the best! Someone mentioned about their diamond setter, not sure what happened in their situation, but I can say that my diamond was set perfect to how my fiancee wanted it. She is in love with the ring! The jeweler greeted us with a smile, sized my husband, and guessed it would be 4 links taken off (he was completely right!) We were in and out in 10 minutes. Just had a very poor experience with Danson Jewelers. My mother lost an earring that was inherited from her grandmother, so we brought the remaining earring to Danson's to get a custom match made for her birthday. They took the order, gave us a quote, and said it would be done in a few weeks. When we went to pick up the new piece on the date they had told us, the jeweler said he had not been able to do anything with the earring because the piece was too old and small to be replicated. He said if we wanted to make something similar, it would have to be larger and much more costly. When he was planning to tell us that the order could not be done? Why did agreed to make the piece in the first place? At the very least, we should have gotten a call. This was extremely poor customer service. Now, we will have to try another jeweler to see if our request is truly unable to be done, but we will certainly not be able to have the earring in time for my mom's birthday. Danson Jewelers completely wasted our time. read more

I went to Danson Jewelers to have a custom engagement ring made and I could not be happier with the results. I had a particular design in mind for a 5-stone ring, and I was initially worried that the ring wouldn't live up to my expectations, but I was blown away by the final result. Most importantly, my extremely picky soon-to-be fiance "loves it and can't wait to show it off to everyone." Jack was extremely communicative (often responding to my emails in minutes), which was very much appreciated. He sent me pictures of the ring throughout the process, from the wax mold to the final setting. He was very accommodating and made the adjustments I requested to the final ring, including the ones highlighted in a very crappy MS paint job I sent him... Although I was in no rush to have the ring completed, all of his work fell exactly within the timeline he initially gave me. Overall, I would highly recommend Danson Jewelers for anyone looking to have custom jewelry made. I'm sure I will be back there at some point for wedding bands! read more
