I came to Pangea in a desperate panic because my antique engagement ring was set so poorly that it…read morewas ruined and no one wanted to touch it. David and I discussed with his expert jeweler, Alex, and together brainstormed how to repair this ring. I drove myself from Manhattan based on such a trusted recommendation. I left in tears I was so happy. I posted a before and after photo to try to show this. My original idea was to have the stone set down into the setting and instead did a sloppy job and (what I thought and was told by other jewelers) ruined the ring. Alex uses a laser to solder platinum and gold and is an absolute artist. I I can't thank David and Alex enough! I can't recommend Pangea high enough. It now LOOKS AMAZING!! He did it while I waited. I still can't believe how well this was re-done. I also bought a wedding band and earrings for the wedding. They have a wonderful selection of antique and pre-owned jewelry. I will never see another jeweler again- see you soon Alex and David. And thank you! I would give 10 stars if possible.

Customer service is above and beyond!!!…read more Backstory: I was gifted a few pieces of their demi-fine jewellery for Christmas and wanted to exchange a couple (they were great - just not 100% my style). I found some great replacements and also bought a pair of dangly earrings. Later that day when I get home, my husband pointed out I was missing one of the earrings! We look everywhere - to no avail. So I email the store a photo of the one earring I have left asking if it's possible to buy just one. Sadly they were out of stock, so I keep looking for the lost earring, without much hope. Fast forward to January 29 (a full MONTH later) and I get an email from Katie saying they got the earrings back in stock and did I still want to buy one? Y'all - I had basically given up on ever having this complete pair of earrings (that I had only had for one day ). That act alone got them a lifelong customer. Bonus that I also love the jewellery!

I always encourage my kids to support small businesses, so we were excited to check out Hot Jewelry…read moreBox. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. My daughter and her friend were made to feel extremely uncomfortable--being closely followed around the store, repeatedly asked if they needed help, and even questioned about the bracelets she was wearing, as if she might have stolen them. Seriously? I went back to the store to speak with the manager, but no one seemed interested in having a real conversation. When I asked the employee who had followed the girls why she was doing so, she admitted it was because they looked "suspicious." That's not just unprofessional--it's unacceptable. It's disheartening to support a small business only to have your kids profiled and treated this way. I hope they take a hard look at how they treat their customers, especially young ones who are trying to shop independently and respectfully.

I've been looking for a jeweler to mount 2 matching diamonds i own, into stud earrings. I've searched high and low coz i was very specific about a few things. Marc worked with me from start to end. For my peace of mind, he put my diamonds under a microscope (in front of me), took pictures of what they call a "diamond fingerprint" both in the beginning, and when i picked up, so i can confirm that they are both my exact same diamonds I'm taking home. He gave me (what i feel) was an honest price. Marc actually weighed the gold right there before giving me the final price. He really makes you feel that he cares. I love my new studs. Thank you Marc and Maricel!
