We were in the area for a hike and were hungry so we stopped by for some food. We didn't have to wait to be seated. They have a great indoor & outdoor dining area. The service was prompt & friendly. There were a few vegan, vegetarian options and we were happy to avoid any plastic. I was even able to bring my dog to hang outside and the sever brought him some water. The portions were generous and the food was very good although a little greasy. I would definitely eat there again and recommend you checking them out if it's convenient. read more

Cute little spot right near Sam's Pointe. They've got tons of seating, great service, and tasty food. We stopped here with some friends after hiking the nearby ice caves. The margarita I ordered 100% hit the spot. I also ordered the sliders and I highly suggest you try them. All 3 were delicious though the short ribs were definitely my fav. read more

Great find! We went for lunch and when hearing that we were on a lunch break from work, the very pleasant server ensured our food was served quickly. Nice ambiance, warm, inviting fireplace. Our sandwiches- the roadrunner (Chicken cutlet with pickled onion, blueberry compote and brie) and pork schnitzel - were served with choice of French fries, sweet potato fries or waffle fries. My group and I stopped by after our hike at Sam's Point. The food, drinks, and overall experience was amazing! We tried the fried cheese curds and sliders as appetizers. For our entrees we had the Ridgerunner sandwich, chicken & waffles, OTR roast beef with French dip, burgundy burger and farmhouse burger. All were great and would recommend, the group's favorite was the ridgerunner! Our waitress Allison was super friendly and helpful. Adam, the owner, stepped out the kitchen to greet us and check in. B and I met up here for a cozy, fireside lunch date. This is a new business open now for breakfast and lunch( per the staff there, dinner to come in a month or so), and it did not disappoint. Menu had lots of great sounding appetizers and meals. Bri had a grilled cheese with spare rib meat, and I had breakfast tostadas with chorizo, chicken, avocado, cheese, pico and sour cream. Everything was delicious, staff was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside. I'd really love for this place to succeed, so please consider making the trip up to the top of the mountain-it will be worth your time! read more

I am sad to say they are not doing well. I went there when they opened and had high hopes that they would improve. I just came back from there and was very disappointed. The menu only offered a very few items and all very very overpriced. There was only one other couple in the place but it still took a long time to be served. They brought me a very flat soda and then said "Our carbonator" is not working so I sent it back for water. It took almost 30 minutes to bring us a salad with some medium rare steak on it and soup. The soup was very good but the cheesesteak egg rolls barely had any filling in them. We had very few things to choose from on the menu and unfortunately what we chose was disappointing. read more

We had a beautiful bridal shower for my daughter at On the Rocks. The atmosphere was amazing, perfect for a group of 40+. It was a perfect day, so we spent most of the party in their outdoor patio area. The staff was attentive and Darcy had exceptional themed drinks. Stopped by for lunch for the first time. On the Rocks opened a few months ago, and it is so cute inside! The entire space is wooden and gives cozy cabin vibes. There is also a cute patio outside but it was too hot for us that day. The menu consists of mostly sandwiches and burgers, all of which come with unlimited fries (seriously, you can get refills on refills). I got the caprese sandwich and it was sooooo good (and quite big, I ended up taking half of it home). Folks with me also got one of the burgers and the cheesesteak sandwich which they both raved about as well. My dad had mentioned his waffle fries came out kind of cold, but my fries were fresh out of the fryer and were delicious (and with unlimited fries, they happily replaced his cold fries). They have a small draft beer selection (I think only 4 were on tap) and a nice list of cocktails. Our server was very nice and attentive. Overall, this is a really cute spot nestled in the mountain and is totally worth the stop if you're in the area! read more

Enjoyed a very nice lunch today. Been wanting to stop by for months, but just hadn't had time. They had brisket sandwich on the specials. The meat was tender and tasty. Not good at all. Don't waste your time unless you enjoy cafeteria style food. I ordered the short rib dinner and it was horrendous. Upon further inspection of my plate it appears as if they're giving you braised chuck roast at short rib prices. Served without a bone so nobody really knows what it is... service was fine because there was nobody else in there on a Saturday night. Also the cocktails were mediocre at best. COULD be a great relaxing spot to get dinner and drink after a long day of hiking. Kitchen needs to step up their game. read more

I will start positive-the place looks amazing , but it stops there. Went for breakfast, considering we were the only 2 patrons there service was V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W. This was for 2 eggs over easy and ham and egg sandwich on hard roll. Sandwich was wrong, no hard roll, had cheese which wasn't wanted, all was cold. No coffee refills by server. All of this after extended wait time. I will say owner/ senior staff offered comp but we didn't want to stick server with loss although she was very bad. Local but wont go back. read more

Let me start with saying the food is very good, fairly priced and the staff was very pleasant. I would recommend this place for those reasons alone. However, the staff was extremely challenged in their duties. Even though the place was less than half capacity, we entered having to wait for a table while they bused it. Practically every table had leftover dishes from the guests prior and pretty much stayed that way throughout our dining experience. Another disadvantage is that acoustics. Unfortunately there was a group dining in the loft area above that made the lower level so noisy we could barely communicate with each other across from our small two person table. read more
