Not worth the price…read more We were charged 30 dollars per person for a 45 minute tube float that was advertised as 2 hours. The tubes were very dirty and of poor quality, as was the shuttle. The really frustrating part was that the owner lied to us about where the public accesses are when there is one beside their establishment and the place we were dropped off was public as well. We had our own inflatable kayak that was easy to transport and having heard that there were no nearby accesses we asked if there was any way that we could use our own and take their shuttle and they refused. The river was very slow and was not at all like a rapid it was more of a lazy river. The only positive thing about this experience was our shuttle driver who was honest with us about the access and was very kind.

The outboard was only a 50 however, but with only 2 adults and 2 children on board it wasn't terribly underpowered. Pricing was competitive for the area. The marina was a bit tight but nothing I haven't seen before. There is very little traffic around their cove which makes for a quick departure and docking. I like that it's at the end of the lake which gives you an opportunity to do a full stretch without a lot of backtracking. The store was fully stocked with bait and tackle. This was one of the best boat rental experiences I've had in years and I would absolutely use them again.

I was a little nervous because the boat didn't tell me how deep the water was beneath me, but we didn't get stuck so it's all good. I was happy I brought my radio. I did get lost a little but was able to pull up a map on my phone. They have a lot of fishing equipment for you to buy as well. I had to take a "safety course" to be able to rent the boat but it didn't take long and wasn't a big deal. They didn't even give me a hard time about crashing into the wall on my way out. The steering took a little to get used to, especially in reverse. The first time I was here, I dropped the anchor in the water but it wasn't tied to the boat so it just dropped to the bottom.

My family rented a pontoon boat from Payne Water Sports in White Lake, NY, and it was one of the…read moremost frightening experiences we've ever had. Before we even left the dock, the boat was already taking on water. As my family was boarding, an employee actually told us that because there was water inside the boat, most of us should stay on the opposite side to balance it. Looking back, that should have been a major warning sign. There were 16 people on board, including 4 children, and we trusted that the boat was safe to operate. Shortly after leaving, the boat stalled in the middle of the lake. We immediately called the company for assistance. Fortunately, a police boat noticed us because they could clearly see the amount of water inside our boat. The officer was able to help restart the engine and personally drove the boat back to shore. Had law enforcement not happened to see us, I don't know what would have happened. We genuinely believe the boat could have capsized, putting everyone aboard--including four children--at serious risk. What made the experience even worse was the way we were treated when we returned. Instead of showing concern for our safety, one employee greeted us with what appeared to be a smirk and accused us of damaging the boat. We were shocked. The boat was already taking on water before we ever left the dock, and we had reported the problem as soon as it stalled. Safety should always come before profits. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this business. If you value your safety and the safety of your family, I would strongly encourage you to rent from a company that properly maintains its boats and takes customer concerns seriously.

As you're making your way through the tree filled section of the trail, don't forget to look for the geocaches that are hidden throughout. It is fun to hunt and each geocache contains cool items.

They do mention that there are "category 1" rapids but it's compared to maybe hitting a speed bump at 20mph. Be sure to stop along the way as the route is beyond beautiful and worthy of docking your kayak or raft for a quick swim. Staff is super helpful and know what they're doing - 10/10 im coming back here in the next few weeks Update: been coming here a few times every summer for the past 4 years and have become a huge fan of the 3 day overnight camping trips that they offer.
