Rented a medium-sized pontoon for half a day. The staff was plentiful, courteous and professional. The boats were all in amazing shape. Ours looked brand new despite the hours logged. The outboard was only a 50 however, but with only 2 adults and 2 children on board it wasn't terribly underpowered. Pricing was competitive for the area. The marina was a bit tight but nothing I haven't seen before. There is very little traffic around their cove which makes for a quick departure and docking. I like that it's at the end of the lake which gives you an opportunity to do a full stretch without a lot of backtracking. The store was fully stocked with bait and tackle. This was one of the best boat rental experiences I've had in years and I would absolutely use them again. read more

I've used them a couple times and really can't imagine using a different boat rental company. They seem to have the best prices. I like to go for the fishing boat with motor because I don't want to paddle or pay too much but there are different options depending on what your doing. I would have preferred to make a reservation but the rentals are on first come, first serve basis so make sure you get there early. I wasn't sure how long I wanted the boat for so they let me book 2 hours and then settle up when I got back. I was a little nervous because the boat didn't tell me how deep the water was beneath me, but we didn't get stuck so it's all good. I was happy I brought my radio. I did get lost a little but was able to pull up a map on my phone. They have a lot of fishing equipment for you to buy as well. I had to take a "safety course" to be able to rent the boat but it didn't take long and wasn't a big deal. They didn't even give me a hard time about crashing into the wall on my way out. The steering took a little to get used to, especially in reverse. The first time I was here, I dropped the anchor in the water but it wasn't tied to the boat so it just dropped to the bottom. read more

Highly recommend for a pontoon rental, it's the best marina on Hopatcong that we have rented from. Today was our second time renting. They're professional, thorough, clean and the boats are new and well cared for. I love that they provide a map with some cool spots to check out! We rented an 8-person pontoon boat twice this season from Lakes End Marina. We had a wonderful experience on the water- swimming, enjoying, cruising, and fishing. Bring a fishing pole and cast a line near the sandbar- lots of fish in the waters. The lake itself is clean and beautiful with many gorgeous properties alongside the water. There are a few restaurants where you can dock - but we chose to bring a picnic lunch with us both times. We had a great time- and the staff at Lake End Marina is very helpful and nice. Avoid at all costs! I would leave a zero if I could- horrible service. Go there if you want to deal with racism and be treated with disrespect for no reason. Even my own parents never spoke to me like those workers and the owner. I prefer to be treated like a human the way I treat others. Rented a boat that was not working well and instead of offering a refund we were given attitude for being a few minutes late bringing the boat back. We even offered for them to keep the security deposit. Meanwhile, the boat kept stopping and was difficult to bring back on time. I'm sure we would've been spoken to differently if we were white. It's sad that people are still treated this way. We calmly and respectfully walked out of there even though we are furious because we were raised to be better than that and won't stoop to that level. This place is definitely The most honest, helpful, thorough Marina on the Lake! I've been dealing with David the owner for years... From towing boats to putting them in waters and most recently engine overhaul! The prices there are honest and to the point...dry docking is reasonable and you can even rent a boat for the day or by the hour! Since this place is family run you get proper care and a smile! SCAM ARTISTS!!! Called David in reply to a used boat for sale on craigslist advertised for $ 10,500.00. I asked for the address , and told him I was heading up to look at the boat. As I was ready to leave, I made a copy of the advertisement. Only twelve minutes later, the price was changed to $14,500.00. I called back immediately, and David said he mixed up his inventory. I had a boat for several years and never had issues with my anchor. Rented a pontoon with Lakes End Marina and because of an old and broken holder I lost the anchor. When I returned the pontoon, I showed the broken holders and explained what happened, but they charged me $62 for a new anchor anyway. I never would have lost the anchor if it was not for their broken holder. It is not about the money, but the attitude. read more

Started our relationship with Lake End's Marina when we bought our first 18' foot boat about 6 seasons ago. Dave was upfront and went over every question I had before buying. Two seasons later I had asked Dave the owner to keep his eyes out for something bigger since I was getting boat envy from all the bigger boats on the lake. Sure enough he delivered with a 24' boat in amazing condition and the price was right. Once again I had alot of questions and all where answered. This is why I send all my friends to him that are looking for a boat and service because I appreciate the upfront service I get from his business and the no nonsense, straight forward approach he provides his customers. Why I appreciate this, because my families car business has been around for 50 years and we grew up around sales and good customer service and Dave and his crew have been top notch not only to me but my family as well. My father called and was going to purchase a pontune boat, it was a done deal he said he would as on his way cash in hand. He drove 3 hrs to get to the marina, the same day as he was on his way to make his purchase they sold the boat from under him. He was not notified to turn around or anything when he arrived they informed him that they had sold it to someone else instead. I would not reccomend this place they have poor customer service and if you're not on the lot ready to purchase they will sell to someone else even if they know you're on your way to make a 100% cash purchase. read more

We took a pontoon boat from Lake's End several weekends ago and we were very pleased with the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the boat, and the price. We were so happy that we are taking a boat out for Father's Day. My only small gripe is the gasoline charge, which isn't common on the lake. Since it's often $10-30, comping gas would be a warmly welcomed policy change. That said, I'd return to Lake's End again and again. One tip: the marina is located on a no-wake part of the lake so extra time should be factored for slowly motoring to and from the marina. read more

My friend and I decided to take a trip to Lake Hopatcong yesterday to do some fishing. We found Lake's End Marina online and decided to rent a motorboat for the day. After a 2 hour drive to the lake, the receptionist told us we could not rent a motorboat because the lake was too low. (they neglected to mention this on the phone). We decided to rent a rowboat for 2 hours and had to prepay for the time. We tried to take the boat out and discovered it was just too hard to manage with the wind. Again, no one warned us of this. When we went back to the desk and asked for a refund after only being out for 20 minutes, the receptionist rudely denied us any kind of compensation. There was another customer who was severely ripped off there as well. DO NOT RENT A BOAT FROM THIS PLACE....horribly unprofessional. read more

Made the reservation for a summer Saturday the day before. No problem, was given a new Bennington pontoon boat. Very clean. Worked great. Staff was friendly and the paperwork took only 5 minutes. A couple of small minuses were that the speakers needed replacement (we also brought our own radio) and there was a sharp edge or two on the ladder that caused some minor cuts going up and down so be mindful of these aluminum boat parts in general. Everyone in my party had a great time. We took turns driving and docked at various places along the lake. The lake is beautiful, clean, and has a lot of pretty coastline to explore. In my research this was the closest pontoon rental to the NYC area, 45 minute ride from the George Washington Bridge. Very easy to find, right off of Route 80. I would give 4.5 stars if it was available. If you don't care about the small minuses I mentioned, this could easily be a 5/5 for you. read more

Called and was able to reserve a pontoon on Thursday for a Saturday rental. Price was reasonable and fuel was included; no need to bother with it trying to find a cheap spot on the lake. Boat was less than a year old and very, very clean. They provide a temporary boaters safety certificate when you rent if you don't already have one which is nice. Lake gets very crowded, and most of the boaters are drunk so be careful and watch out for them. I had my jetski in the water as well and the pontoon was a perfect pair using it to float and entertain people in Byram Cove while making trips on the ski. The staff at Lakes End we're really great, I will absolutely rent from here again. Very satisfied. read more

We've been renting motorized boats there for a few years now and even went out with friends on a pontoon from them and have nothing but the best experiences dealing with them. They are always courteous and very straight forward. They even supply vests for children free of charge. They make sure you are comfortable with the boat before you leave the dock. read more
