I would give this business zero stars if I could. We rented a pontoon for 3 hours. Everything was fine except the weather became bad and had to return after one hour of being on the water. Shamin (unsure on his name spelling) insured i would be refunded the difference if the two hours. I checked my credit card the next day nothing. I have been calling, emailing, and texting for 10+ days with no response. They just take your money and never look back. Do not Recommend Sol cut my hair and I went in for just a trim on my ends and she cut a huge chunk making my hair look so uneven and my hair was already short so now it looks crazy and I'm so fucking upset I feel like this will literally take forever to correct and let grow out , I don't recommend at all plus they treated me so unimportant because I wasn't getting an expensive service it was so obvious and rude smfh read more

We came as a group of 7 to charter a boat for 2-3 hours. The operator was kind enough, as it was a friends birthday to let us decide while we were out if it was 2 or 3 instead of beforehand. The boat we got was in abysmal shape- seats were cracked in the leather and it felt dumpy. Upon driving the boat after a few minutes water, and I mean, a lot of water was splashing up and into the front part of the boat every time we hit a little wave. We switched drivers and it was slightly better, but every time a little wave splashed up it soaked the front seats making it difficult for anyone to want to seat there. After the front of the boat sunk into the water twice we realized we couldn't do it anymore (the fearing for our lives) and went back to dock. Upon docking we discovered the front parts of the pontoon weren't straight but heavily dented and smooshed sideways- likely what was causing us to take in water and nearly "capsize". After leaving the boat the floor was entirely wet. Oh yeah the gate on the side of the boat wasn't able to be shut securely so it would swing wildly during our ride- nerve wracking. The staff upon hearing our concerns gave us a much better boat with carpeted floors and a proper lounging area in the back. All the seats were in good shape and the boat appeared to be looked after. It took about 5 minutes for the 2nd boat to even be turned on and was told if we turned it off we would have to pump something at the back of the boat to turn it back on?!? Incredibly, starlight marina gave the boat we almost capsized twice in, to the next unsuspecting charter group. What a difference, driving this boat versus the other boat was simply night and day. Gone were the concerns of imminent death. Gone was the white knuckles while driving and praying to God to make it out alive. Instead we were having an amazing time zooming through the water without a care. 2 stars for the quick swap, helpful and friendly staff, and for the much better boat. Sad, as it would have easily been 5 stars if not for the first disaster of a boat. Would we come back? Possibly, but we would be more selective and vocal about what boats we are renting. Pro tip: bring cash for a better rate! read more

I went recently to this marina for my friend's bachelorette party. We called a few times prior because we were worried about weather and making sure there was a boat that could fit 14 people. Over the phone, we were told by Jake that we would have a good boat waiting for us for our start time. When we arrived it seemed like they were not prepared for us at all. We were put on a very small boat at first with not enough seating for everyone. Luckily the staff understood our frustrations and were very accommodating. They moved us onto another boat that fit all of us and had a small table on it as we needed. The boats are in okay condition, after all they are rentals. There were small dents in the boat we ended up taking but it seemed to run fine. We rented the boat for 6 hours and had a great first half of our day cruising around the lake and swimming until our boat stalled. I called the marina right away and they were very good at responding and coming right out to help. After a few tries we were able to start again but within minutes the boat stalled a second time. Emirsen was very accommodating and took us on the double decker boat with a slide for the duration of our rental which was very kind and made up for the previous inconveniences that we encountered. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a fun day out on the lake. Making reservations are quite easy and the lake is beautiful. My only complaint is that we were told we would have a good boat waiting for us and it was frustrating realizing that they were not prepared for our large party at all. read more

I've rented boats before on neighboring lakes but they're always cash only, non-transparent and horrible to deal with (you've probably seen those places on yelp) We were lucky enough to stumble across Starlight Marina. Carmen was super nice took care of everything over the phone and the staff was there on time to give us a lesson/depart and meet us at the end of our window to dock the boat. Normal rental pontoon boat but great customer service and transparent pricing. Couldn't be happier with our experience. read more

A really good time was had by all! The pontoon that we rented went 45 mph, making it a hit with the grandchildren. Gorgeous day helped. One complaint was that they consider 3 hours half a day. Would have liked 4 hours for the $. read more

Don't launch from this place. Literally the worst launch. We couldn't even tie to the dock because the boat cleats were missing. Some employee left a machine in the middle of the launch and no one around in the booth. Worst $30.00 spent by far. read more

We had a great time on our pontoon boat! We'd never been to this lake and live about a 40 min drive away. The marina was very accommodating (we had children and dogs) and helpful to answer all our questions. The lake was beautiful and fun to swim in. There are many little beaches you can pull over at and hang out for a bit. Getting the whole day on the boat was perfect because we could just relax and not worry about getting back. Will definitely be back to rent boats again here. read more

I rented a pontoon today for 3 hours right before a huge storm was about to hit. It was a surreal experience because of the dark skies and empty lake. I am sure the lake is normally packed but everyone seemed to stay away because of the looming massive storm about to hit. The area to cover is 9 miles. We covered all 9 miles about 3 or more times, so a total of maybe 30 miles in around 3 hours. You control the boat, which goes at a decent speed. You see jetskiis or fisherman boats or waterskiiers, speedboats around you, etc. Amazing experience overall, it is such a massive body of water and area to cover, super-relaxing and views and reflections from the water are unforgettable. It is somewhat in the middle of nowhere. I am sure the rates in Manhattan would be double or more for something similar, so I think it was a great value for what you are getting. The boats are not all in great condition, but the experience is so incredible that you can't complain. Very friendly staff read more

They didn't look or act like it was end of summer i.e. they were still happy and pleasant !! Will rent again. Over priced and underemployed. There was no one around to move the big back hoe that one of the employees had left abandoned in the middle of the launch for twenty minutes. We were not expecting to pay 30 dollars for a simple launch. There weren't any picnic tables or garbage cans either. The launch ramp was the worst that we've ever used. It was set up very poorly. We had to back our truck too far into the water to allow our boat to float. We've never had that problem anywhere else before. I definitely would not recommend this launch. read more

We rented a pontoon boat on July 4, 2020. It was one of the worst experience we had .the boat was a disaster . Engine stalling, ripped seats, no gas gauge, ripped Bimini ,smell of gas. Captains chair broken. No horn ,Pontoon should be junked. Save your money. Owner refused to give some kind of compensation. read more
