I've been going to OmTown for months now. It's right around the corner from my house, and it's the only place I've ever truly enjoyed yoga. The clientele isn't all young, skinny, ridiculously flexible 24-year-old women. Middle-aged and even older people go to classes, and not everyone is superfit. This makes me feel less out of place as a decidedly not-skinny 32-year-old with exercise phobia. Wendy, the owner, has a great sense of humor that kept me coming back, and she's also a very good teacher. So are Michael and Meg. The place is small, and classes sometimes include only a few students. You get plenty of attention, and the teachers remember your name. The only complaint I have is that there's a dance studio next door, so it can be noisy sometimes. Then again, we recently heard a piano piece by Schubert through the wall, and it accompanied the end of our class perfectly. Serendipity is alive and well at OmTown. :-) read more
