I installed this system when they were first starting out and had two cameras installed which never worked well and they could never get them to work after multiple trys.. ..then finally they told me a year down the line that they don't even use that equipment any more and did not offer to upgrade my system.! I had already spent $800 on product and installation and had to live out the contract with out dated equipment t even though my system didn't work........:-( read more

I became an OmniGaurd customer in January of 2016. I've was quasi satisfied with their service for about a year. The indoor panal did not work properly and did not activate motion detectors when I told it I would be away -- it did work from my cell. Not sure why. I didn't complain because I felt the sign indicating I had a security system was doing the hefty lifting and I'd planned to move in the upcoming months. I selected them because I was told there was no long term agreement. I even justified their relatively high monthly cost due to this (mis)understanding. The document I signed clearly states there is. Although the blame is mine, I feel I was verbally misled. With all the legaleaze that accompanies the services one buys, I want to alert other customers to pay close attention when dealing with this company. The sums involved are quite large. Their agreement is 36 months and the prices are high. Terminating will cost me just short of nine hundred dollars, as I have two years left on our signed agreement. That said, I really can't stomach the irony of these guys protecting my house from thieves. read more

I have been a customer of Omniguard for a couple of years. I have had tech issues before and received slow or non-existent service. They use Alarm.com for web control of your account - which is a great system. They were recently acquired by MyAlarmCenter. And somewhere between the two they have dropped my account. My Alarm Center told me my account was cancelled. I never cancelled it. I never received a notice that there was a problem, by text, email or letter. I have called Omniguard sales, service and billing all day with no response. I expect instant or rapid response from my security company. They are very, very good at signing you up, but in my case they have been horrible now that I have a problem. If you are unsure about them call their number , ask for service and see how long it takes to get a response. You can judge for yourself. read more

We love the ability to arm/disarm the system from our phones or on their website. We can easily customize the codes for each specific person (or setup a temp. code if needed). Like many others on this site, I chose Omniguard specifically because they were locally owned. I have had this system since 2016. I agree that installation and set up was awesome. For 2k I thought it was worth it to have a local company that could come to my house with problems. In the past 4 months I have had problems with both my doorbell camera and my front door sensor. It intermittently will read "front door open" and send me a text alert. I received one of these texts during my daughter's high school graduation! We have two dogs that would run from the house and never look back. A friend emergently came by the house and reassured us that the front door was closed and locked. This has since happened many times. I called Omniguard yesterday, no one answered. I left a voicemail. I got a call back over 24 hours later, with a message telling me I was not a client of Omniguard, but of myalarmcenter. This was the first I was aware of this. So I too will now call the other place and see what my options are. Very very disappointed. Would not recommend. read more

I did quite a bit of research before getting a couple of quotes from local firms to have a security system installed in my home. My only initial concern with OmniGuard was the length of time they had been in business but any concerns I've Had have been put to rest by Will an the installation team at OmniGuard. From start to finish the service I've received has been phenomenal. Their price was very competitive and the installation process went very smoothly. Any questions I had were promptly addressed by Will. About a week after the installation there was a small issue with one of the sensors installed on my front door. Will came out the very same day to correct the problem and I haven't had any trouble since! I'm very impressed by this company. While I was interested in just a basic security system, OmniGuard offers additional services like unlocking of doors, temperature control, etc. The nice thing is that while those are things I didn't even consider, I can always add on to my basic system later. My whole system is completely wireless so there wasn't alot of drilling into walls - very noninvasive which was great. Will installed a system in a new house built in 2014. I bought the house in 2015 and the tenants used the system for a year, then decided they didn't need it. System seems to work and Will was great. Unfortunately, 5 months after the service was cancelled, I am still getting a bill for the service from their billing system in Pennsylvania. I have notified the local company each month I received a bill, and they say they have it fixed, but I just received another one today. Each month I have to challenge the bill on my credit card, each month I have spoken with Pennsylvania and Beaverton and am always reassured that it is solved. I have wasted way more than an hour on something that should have been resolved. System and personnel may be great, but the billing system is worthless. VJW read more
