They are simply the BEST! We first decided to go with a self-install security but it just didn't meet our needs. One issue is that there is the lack of personalized service. This is not the case with Omni Guard. We had a fantastic in-home consultation with Christopher. He walked us through all our options and ways to best protect our family and home. He provided great follow up and has been nothing but responsive to all our follow up questions. Dan completed the instillation and he was fast, efficient, thoughtful, neat, and clean. And here is the thing, they cost the same as the do-it-yourself home security system without having to actually do the work yourself! read more

OmniGuard offered great pricing, exceptional service and a quick and easy install. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for home security. Great personal touches you won't find with ADT or anywhere else!!! read more

After a lot of consideration and looking into several other systems, I decided to to install a security system through OmniGuard. Chris was very prompt in responding to my inquiry and setting up a walk through to discuss customization for my home. In about a week after my initial inquiry, the system was installed and live - actual installation took a mere hour. The sensors/motion detector are unobtrusive and the touchscreen keypad aesthetically pleasing. So far so good, no false alarms and all components working. I like that the company is local and I know exactly who to get ahold of in the event of any issues. read more

These guys are great! Chris came by on time, explained all the options clearly, got me the best deal, and processed all the paper work smoothly. The installer came on time, set everything up, gave us demo, and explained everything to us. No hitches, no surprises. I highly recommend them. read more

Will installed a system in a new house built in 2014. I bought the house in 2015 and the tenants used the system for a year, then decided they didn't need it. System seems to work and Will was great. Unfortunately, 5 months after the service was cancelled, I am still getting a bill for the service from their billing system in Pennsylvania. I have notified the local company each month I received a bill, and they say they have it fixed, but I just received another one today. Each month I have to challenge the bill on my credit card, each month I have spoken with Pennsylvania and Beaverton and am always reassured that it is solved. I have wasted way more than an hour on something that should have been resolved. System and personnel may be great, but the billing system is worthless. VJW read more

Chris Short from Omniguard was helpful, professional, and sincere, and he really sold us on the benefits of Omniguard over its competitors. We are very happy with our new security system and know that it will be keep our new home safe and secure. Chris was excellent at explaining all the benefits and the ins and outs of the system, our options, etc. We highly recommend Omniguard and Chris Short. read more

Great product. Easy to use and quality sales & installation staff. Love the front end app for multiple home control options.

They did a great job installing the alarm.com system in our new home. The guys were professional, friendly, fast, and informative. The communication was clear. There were no hidden costs-- the system itself is great, easy to use with the smartphone app, and unobtrusive. I love the addons and versatility of the system. Highly recommend. read more

We bought a house in Vancouver in March, 2016, but could not move in until June. The builder had already installed OmniGuard security and provided 3 months of trial service. This was perfect for us, since the house was going to be empty for 3 months. A day before we left Vancouver, Chris came to the house and spent several hours with us showing how to operate the security remotely. Once we left Vancouver, I had several questions and minor issues, and Chris was always available to answer questions and helped us setting up options online to better manage the home security remotely. We returned to Vancouver in June, and the trial period expired. Chris once again came to our home and explained in detail the advantages continuing OmniGuard security service. We did install few additional components and signed up with Chris for continuing the service. Chris is the primary reason we decide to continue. He is very helpful, understood our needs, and is always available in case of questions or problems. We are also happy with the OmniGuard service overall. We had few alarms over last 4 months. OmniGuard staff is excellent, in resolving issues and taking the right actions before dispatching patrol. Overall we are very happy with the service specifically provided by Chris, and also overall with other OmniGuard staff. We absolutely recommend OmniGuard security service. read more

I had contacted several alarm companies prior to contacting OmniGuard. I felt like other companies were unable to provide me with detailed information about their services and fees etc. I contacted OmniGuard and was blessed to be able to get in contact with an associate named Chris Short. He provided me with upfront information and answered all my questions. Chris has outstanding customer service skills. He was honest and trustworthy with all the information he provided. If you're looking for an alarm company rest assured this is the one! Thank you Chris and OmniGuard for a job well done! read more

I was impressed with the reviews on this site and so called Omniguard. I have a simple alarm system already in place that is not monitored -- it is just a loud alarm if someone opens a door or window, which is what I want. My problem was that I had a new front door installed, which disconnected the old wired sensor. I wanted that replaced, plus a few new sensors added to additional windows. Even though my system was hard-wired, it was able to accept wireless sensors, which is what needed to be used. I explained all this to the staff over the phone, emphasizing that I just needed new sensors, and I did not want it monitored. Chris came out within a few days to give a bid, and he was great - prompt, professional, easy-going and nice. He confirmed that wireless sensors could be added to my current system. My problem came when he gave me a bid. He told me he would give me two bids, one just for my old system with a few new sensors (unmonitored), and one with the same system but monitored, just for my consideration. The cost to add a couple of sensors and begin a monitoring contract: $462, which includes the first $50/month for monitoring and committing me to a three year contract. The exact same sensors with NO monitoring? $1639. That's right, $1639 just for a couple of sensors and no contract (and a new 2-way keypad for monitoring, which I didn't want or need). It felt like their goal was to make me feel stupid for not wanting monitoring, even though I made it clear when I called that I did not want that. Chris nonchalantly asked me what I did for a living, which was a thinly veiled attempt to see if he could pull one over on me by using fancy technical language in the bid (sorry, no go). I emailed him, pointing out that it was ridiculous to charge me that much for a couple of sensors, a keypad that I didn't need and a very small amount of work. Here is his exact response: "Let me see what I can do in regards to the keypad. I can also certainly come down a bit in the installation/configuration amount. I will have an answer for you in regards to the keypad by noon. At the end of the day, OmniGuard may not be the best fit for what you're trying to accomplish! But, I am more than willing to help accommodate where I can." Not only did he NOT respond by noon, he NEVER responded. He never sent another email. It's not hard to see that "Omniguard may not be the best fit for what you're trying to accomplish" can be translated to "I don't want to work with you if all you want is a simple unmonitored system -- I won't make enough money on that!" I have no doubt that if the full bells-and-whistles system is what you want, that Omniguard does great work and provides great service. But I was appalled at their attempts to fleece me when I wanted something simpler. Good customer service means giving the customer what she wants, not what you want to sell her. They were totally able to help me out, and they didn't. By the way, I called Security First Alarm after this, they came out, added a few new sensors, reprogrammed my old keypad and motherboard and it works great, all for a few hundred bucks. That is great service. read more

Late last year OmniGuard Security saved my business. I'm not exaggerating. It was about 10:30 on a Thursday night and I had just gone to bed. Like many people, I sleep with my cell phone on my nightstand. It started buzzing. I answered and it was a customer service agent from OmniGuard passing on a message from the local fire department that the business adjacent to my commercial photo studio was on fire and that I should go there immediately, as requested by the fire officials. When I got on site a policeman escorted me the scene and handed me off to the fire battalion chief who took me over to my studio and allowed me to open the door so his men could check to make sure the fire had not spread to my space. Luckily it hadn't and my studio only sustained smoke damage. The chief told me that had I not been there, they would have likely had to destroy my front door to enter and check the space. Also they wouldn't have had access as early in the process and so the fire might have spread to my area before they would have realized it. That night would have turned out much differently had I not be notified by my alarm company that something bad was going on at my business. They saved me tons of money, hassle and grief. And since then they've even passed on messages from the police department when one of the officers spotted something suspicious like an open gate or door ajar late at night. The peace of mind that OmniGuard Security provides me on a 24/7 basis is incredible. I highly recommend them to anyone who is serious about protecting their business or home. Top notch system. Professional service. Trustworthy team of people you deal with. And I love keeping my stuff safe at home.

These guys are great. I had them put in a security system with cameras and I am extremely happy with the system and the customer service is excellent. Nathan took his time to figure out what I needed and Dan the tech did a great job of installing the system. If you want a great residential security system and responsive customer service give them a call! read more

I chose OmniGuard for my home security system after reading their many 5 star reviews. I have been very impressed and pleased with their customer service and the alarm system they installed. (They came back to my house to fix a problem the same day I called them). I've only had my system in place for a few weeks, but so far everything is working great --- I chose basic motion sensors and window/door sensor option but you can upgrade to a fully automated home system with endless possibilities.... It is apparent they strive to use the latest technology available and have developed a state of the art security system. The installation and monthly fees are competitive with other large scale security systems, but the peace of mind and safety I now feel far exceeds any costs I pay. I would recommend OmniGuard to anyone in the market for a home security system. read more

Love OmniGuard - just had our second system from them installed (we moved). I appreciate all the modern conveniences (iPhone App, push notifications when a door has been left open, etc). Also, the entire process was smooth and easy. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Chris did a great job helping us understand our options and choosing the features that best fit our needs. He was very responsive during the decision making process. The install was scheduled quickly and everything was completed efficiently. Dan did a terrific job on the install, helping us set up our codes/etc. and training us on how to use the system. We are a former ADT customer and were done with the one size fits all responses (or lack of responses). Very happy to be with OmniGuard now. You won't be disappointed. read more

We made our first contact with Chris Short to get some information and a quote. He is knowledgeable and up front on pricing. We were searching for a "cellular" only system and compared OmnGuard with about 4 other companies. Got a hold of Chris and he was SUPER attentive and responsive to my requests. Got a very competitive quote and tons of flexibility on the install date. We are VERY pleased with the new security system! Dan was here right on time the day of install, did a very clean job - explained all the features of the system (including downloading the mobile app!!) This is a local company who truly cares about their customers! I have had OmniGuard for 2 1/2 years I have gotten nothing but the runaround from OmniGuard and their service center my alarm center. Our system has never worked I can never get a tech to come out other than one time and he would not verify that anything was working just proceeded to tell me that I didn't keep my system clean. I called again in May 2019 and today is September 18th 2019. I got a call back today about that service request from me. I then called the number and waited on hold for 30 minutes and that was with typing in an extension to the person that called and said I could reach him directly. Then she told me that she could not help me I asked them to cancel my monitoring because I have switched to ADT. ADT technician that came out said that my system from OmniGuard was not even installed correctly and could not have worked. And yet OmniGuard tells me they can't help me and won't help me that I need to call my alarm center my alarm center says they can't help me but I need to call OmniGuard. Take it from me don't waste your time or money because neither of these guys will help you. Call ADT read more

I can't say enough great things about this security system and service from OmniGuard. Our neighbors recently used them to upgrade their security system. After checking out the mobile app for their system on their iPhones, I knew this was the one we needed and the price was extremely competitive. I reached out to Taylor who provided excellent customer service and didn't try to "oversell" us on equipment. Installation scheduling was very quick and the web and mobile app interface are fantastic. They also removed our old system at no extra charge. I wish I could remember our actual installers name but he was also right on time, quick and was able to answer all of my questions. It's been about a month and we haven't had one issue. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a new or updated alarm system. read more

Working with OmniGuard has been good, but not so much with Alarm.com which is who you call when there's a problem. I've needed to contact Alarm.com and OmniGuard customer service twice in the year since I've had the system I'm not very confident with the people I'm talking with. My alarm went off at 3:34AM this morning. Of course I assumed someone was trying to get in. While that proved (happily) untrue, I've called Alarm.com twice so far today as I'm scared to set the alarm and have it go off again for no apparent reason as it did this morning. The customer service folks don't seem particularly concerned and guess it's just a glitch. I'm waiting for a call back for a tech to come out. Last time it took 2-3 emails and numerous phone calls to get someone to come out. I hope it won't be the same this time. It's difficult to tell who you're working with when a problem arises (OmniGuard or Alarm.com). The tech who came out last time was great, and the same person who installed the system. The challenges I've experienced are not with the tech but with the customer service you have to navigate to try to get the tech to come out. read more

I very recently had a monitored alarm and video security system installed in my home. Many compliments to the team (Will, Mark and Kieran) for a seamless process, from considering my needs, educating me on available alternatives, proposing a system to satisfy those needs and finally, completing the installation in a timely manner. I'm very satisfied with the results--those guys get it done! Highly recommended! read more

We just got our system put in a month ago. What a high tech company! Love that we can turn our heat on from our couch! The text message and email alerts are awesome. Eric did our walk through and we couldn't have asked for better guy. He was so personable! He was even here for the install to make sure we didn't have any other questions. He also didn't try to "over sell" us anything which we really appreciate! So glad to have found this security system. read more

When I happened to have a question the following night, I received my response promptly, within the hour! I had a problem with my garage door opener and had called Omniguard several times with no response. This led me to look for another home security provider. After posting my updated review I received a phone call from the owner of the company. He was very polite and apologized. He explained the company was doing some restructuring and some things had slipped in the process. I told him the problems I had experienced. He said he wanted to look into my problems and would call me back. He called back very quickly and found a different solution for my garage door (Z-wave versus Wi-Fi). This conversation was on a Friday and he said someone could be there on Monday to correct the problem. My garage door is now working. While I did experience some problems with Omniguard, until recently they have been extremely receptive and I hope that their service will continue to get back to where it was when I first contracted with them.
