I used to love Omaha steaks.This Christmas I ordered for a gift It arrived in their new packaging which is a complete failure.I arrived with an empty bag that was supposed to have dry ice and most of the meat was thawed or barely cool.I reordered and the same thing happened.Stop cutting corners and go back to the coolers.Alot of waste is happening.I sadly will never recommend them or use them again.Their customer service was 5 star. read more

I live locally so I can't speak to how these ship, but I had the sirloin and the tomahawk steaks and oh. My. God. Incredible. We had my father in law who works for another meat distributor prepare them which helps but even he was impressed and elated with how juicy and tender they cooked. The flavors are out of this world. We bought two packages for $159.99 each for shipment to 2 separate locations on 12/12/25. One arrived as promised and one still hasn't showed up. First I called to Customer Service and was on hold for 1'20". I finally hung up and called the store on Center St. At first the lady I talked to told me to call Customer Service, but after my negative reaction, she looked up the shipment and said it was waiting pickup. When asked what now, she said call Customer Service and basically hung up. I know they are busy at this time of year, but "no help" selection on their web site would seem to be a better choice. If you're going to cater to a high-end market you would think they would have high-end service - not so much. read more

I ordered 3 products - corn, fish and pork. The pork was not in the delivered box. I called customer service and I was on hold for 3.0 hours No answer. I called another 1-800 number and held on for 2.0 more hours. 5.0 hours waiting for a person to assist me with either a refund or the pork. We began purchasing from Omaha Steaks a few years ago. I had worked in the supermarket industry for years I was a bit reluctant to purchase via unknown delivery commitment. My spouse has an eating disorder and Lupis (along with other medical issues). She has to be very careful as many foods upset her stomach, easily. Since we have purchased from Omaha my wife has NEVER felt ill after eating their products. I experienced several contacts with Omaha, and each and every one positive. I inventoried my order and labelled with date received. I was short one item (which happens through human error) so I called Omaha and the very polite employee asked if I wished a new item shipped or credit to my account. We chose the latter and within an hour the money was back in my account. As far as the product, I could not ask for better. The meats were tender, burgers moist and delicious, especially with their seasoning. All of the food is great. I wish they would bring back their brocolli and chicken dish as it was my spouse's favorite. I so enjoy their foods and will continue to be a customer as long as I receive the same quality and professionalism. I know I am very picky when it comes to my spouse's food, but I have only positives to disclose about Omaha Steaks. I also realize that food preparation is pertenient and I couldn't be more pleased than I am currently. I look forward to many more years of purchases from Omaha They also introduced me to their point system which is very helpful. They gave me a choice of a gift card or more meat. I asked for the gift card. This is the third time That they failed to do that and their on line delivery Date is also Not accurate. They delivered it On Sunday evening. Well, full disclosure, my Dad was a lifelong meat cutter "butcher" and I got to know quite a bit about good meats. I'm probably spoiled when it comes to really great cuts & quality of steaks, chops & chicken so I don't think theirs is the best that can be had but it's pretty darn good. If you're willing and able to seek out a really good meat market then you can most likely do better but to get a reasonably priced cut of meat at value prices then Omaha Steaks is a food choice plus factoring convenience it's a really good choice. Special dated review note: During the Covid-19 crisis they have been absolutely terrific because I can plan my meals out days & weeks ahead while sending packages to my family to help them as well. They are even offering specialized packages at value prices with free shipping while efficiently filling and quickly delivering both large and small orders. That's a pretty big deal when demands are higher and the circumstances are obviously more challenging. Nice! I ordered some burgers and hot dogs to be delivered to my home. I love great bar b que items and saw the burgers and dogs and had to order them. Plus, if you order more than one item the items are discounted. I saved 34.00 on my order. I did use the expedited delivery which cost as much as i had originally saved but I wanted the meat. I have had the Omaha steak boxes before and love their coolers (which will come in handy for parties or hurricanes) they are seal tight and the best quality. I am glad the burgers and dogs were still in stock. There were a lot of out of stock items that i would have liked to buy but maybe next time. Photos to come when its delivered to my doorstep! I have stuck to the basics like hamburger patties, chicken breasts, hot dogs, brats, pork chops and steaks. Good - All the meat is vacuum sealed - Decent selection, but some items are becoming out of stock - Arrives frozen solid, packed in dry ice - Web site and app are easy to use - You can earn points that can be used for additional discounts - Butcher's cut filets are really good - Pork chop T-Bones are good, but are thin - You can get higher quality steaks, which is great. Just be prepared to pay the price. - If you look online or sign up for their emails, you can get free shipping and other discounts. My sister gave me a Omaha Meat package for my birthday, with bacon wrapped fillets, hamburgers, chicken breast, sirloins and pork chops. So far we have been really unimpressed. The fillets had no flavor except for the over smoky bacon and a stringy texture and the hamburgers were awful, even with cheddar and bacon on them. Just dry little pucks. My dogs were happy, they got most of the hamburgers. Now I'm afraid to try anything else. Kind of a waste of time to cook it and not enjoy it. My husbands uncle sent us a meat package last May from Snake River Farms as a thank you and we were so impressed. Everything was amazing. So we were hopping Omaha would be the same. The one star says it all! Poor quality of steaks. Tough throughout could not eat the prime rib, they call it the filet of prim rib. NOT! Why won't they us USDA standards... they give you the bottom of the barrel. I got steaks from them took them out no marbling some fat on the outside. I have never had a steak so bad go to a local butcher buy your steaks and send them yourself alot about the same price but better meat. This company frustrates me because the meat etc is really quite good but the portions are ridiculous and the prices are from some mystical place....last night I logged on to order a pack of hotdogs/brats for a birthday present. It was $44.99 for the pack. A ridiculous price for 32 hotdogs but my mother loves them. So shipping is $17.99, so I add something to get over $60 for free shipping thinking at least that way I am getting something for my money........no free shipping and it's $100. So I don't order. I just log on and there is a banner saying 50% off and free shipping, I think great. I go back to order and now the pack that was $44.99 last night is now $62.96 with free shipping. Great. Ruined my birthday surprise!! I wanted to purchase a "gift" for my brother who is relocating to AZ. I'd previously purchased a similar item for my nephew from the Chandler AZ store which he picked up last Christmas. I called the 800# and was told I can have it shipped but NOT to the store for pick up. It wouldn't be there in time (May 24th) so called the store directly to order a pickup. "John" told me that they aren't supposed to take credit card details over the phone! What?! I explained I simply wanted to prepay for an order to surprise my brother for his birthday today! He agreed to take my cc details and I thought I was all set. Got a call from John a bit later stating the main office told him he couldn't honor my request! Again, What??? (How did they even know about our conversation???) Why a customer can't purchase an order from the store directly and prepay for a pick up is simply ludicrous! this has got to be the worst company with pathetic products in america. we have cooked at home 50 plus years and never had meat that tastes as bad as this. the steaks defrost with a lot of blood colored water which must be patted off but still holds immense water anyway. it tastes bad, there's no other way to put it. it's bloody and raunchy tasting and we tried again last night and after taking a bite i spit it out and we threw away this, our latest attempt at cooking this crap. i kid you not this is pure garbage. buy it as i gift for someone you hate. they do not respond to queries either. stay away, run away food poisoning results. will now notify the nebraska board of health, BBB, consumer affairs and write a few more reviews on other food sites. read more

COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I placed an order online on 6/12/17 for one of the Father's Day specials. At the time I placed the order, the countdown clock for Father's Day delivery via standard shipping had 13 hours remaining. As of today I had not received any shipping information so I contacted the 800# for an update. I was told by Jordan that I would NOW need to pay for expedited shipping to receive the order by Father's Day. When I questioned why I would need to pay for it when their site stated "standard shipping by Father's Day", the response was that date was an estimate and without an expedite, the order would arrive after Father's Day. Nothing about how I placed the order caused the delay in shipping. Omaha Steaks should have been gracious enough to cover the expedited cost. Instead, the only option available to me was cancellation. Now, I'm scrambling to plan an alternative Father's Day surprise. I won't be ordering again. read more
