I came here on a Friday with my girlfriend, and this restaurant seems to have been rebranded from Delhi Belly (RIP). The restaurant was decorated very nicely and really liked the ambiance. My girlfriend and I ordered the chicken fajitas and the fish tacos from the lunch special. The food came out within like 15 minutes, and it also came with complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were toasted hot and the salsa was pretty good. The chicken fajitas came with tortilla wraps, beans, and Spanish rice. The fish tacos came in a pair, also with beans and Spanish rice. The beans and rice were pretty flavorful and the fish tacos were pretty good overall. The chicken fajitas was decent, as me and my girlfriend thought the flavor was good, but the chicken was a bit too dry to my girlfriend's liking. She thought that perhaps using thigh instead of breast would be less dry as a result. The onions and bell peppers in the plate were smoky and delicious. The fajitas came out to be $22 and the fish tacos were $17. It is definitely on the pricier side, so value wise is kind of a little below where I would get from a typical Mexican restaurant. However, I thought the flavors were very good and just needed a little tweak to the chicken in terms of dryness. Other than that, I welcome a new sit down Mexican restaurant on Alhambra Main Street, which is lacking on that street. The service was good as well and didn't have to wait much (although it wasn't really busy when we came in for lunch). This restaurant is worth to visit again.

Really nice service and is promising as a location, with room for improvement on the food: + Complimentary chips and salsa: Very good first start, with piping hot chips and well balanced salsa + Horchata: Very solid and flavorful + Elote/street corn: Meets expectations + Taco sampler: The tacos heavily rely on the salsa to make a difference, and only if you enjoy a spicy kick. The taco I didn't like the most was the asada, as it was quite dry on its own and the meat seemed a tad overcooked. + Chicken mole: My husband felt the mole wasn't as strong as some other places he has been to, and the chicken wasn't well seasoned or covered with enough mole because parts were still quite white. Again room for improvement but the experience is quite well with the service so I rounded to a 4 when it sits at 3.5 for food for me. Perhaps the kitchen will improve!

I saw this New Mexican restaurant on Facebook and Instagram and located so close to home. The server was so nice to us and brought our food in record time. The restaurant interior was decorated with wood blocks and a nice television for sports and other events. Our food was served beautifully with edible flowers adorning the meal and bright colors of the Mexican flag. It's been open for a few weeks now and ready for the World Series this October!

Yummy food, savage eaters

We got there right when they opened at 5 PM, and the staff was incredibly friendly. He took his time explaining the menu to us and even gave us plenty of extra sauce upon my request! We ordered a TON of food and eventually got so full that he actually asked if we wanted to cancel our last item since it hadn't come out yet. I thought that was really thoughtful of him. The food was fantastic. I especially loved the warm chips with freshly made salsa and the taquitos, and we got to try a little bit of everything. My son has a dairy allergy, so he ordered the fajitas, which worked out perfectly for him. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Everything was presented so nicely that it almost felt like fine dining, but the prices were very reasonable. I'm not much of a picture taker, and being the savages that we are, we had already messed up the beautiful presentation before I remembered to take a picture. But here's what was left of our grand feast! We'll definitely be back!

Rock hard asada!

Arrived here on a Friday night. Restaurant is in Grand Opening as it opened fairly recently. The entire restaurant almost full minus 2-3 tables and was serviced by a single person so we had to wait approximately 40 minutes for our food to arrive. We were not offered menus until we asked for them. They served chips and salsa on the house but did not offer us napkins. We ordered the Birria tacos (okay, lacked cheese and flavor is better elsewhere), the street corn (probably the best tasting out of dishes, hard to go wrong with elote), and the carne asada fajitas (dear lord, way overcooked, almost like jerky -- they did not offer me how I'd like my steak cooked). I've attached a photo to show my strips of extra well asada. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment as the wait was long and the food was subpar. Kudos to the single server but 1/5.

This was our first time here, and it was absolutely AMAZING! We ordered the pescado zarandeado, which comes with rice and beans, and the seasoning was just incredible. We also ordered the molcajete, and WOW--it is HUGE! Definitely enough to share between 3-4 people, depending on how hungry you are. It comes loaded with steak, shrimp, chile relleno, chorizo, chicken, and delicious melted cheese, along with rice and beans. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. And let's not forget one of their staple dishes: the birria! ‍ Absolutely delicious! I also have to mention the street corn and flan because both were immaculate. Every bite was so flavorful, and the flan was the perfect way to finish our meal. Now, let's talk about the service because it deserves ALL the praise. Shoutout to Uri and the amazing chefs in the back! Uri was handling about six tables, including ours, all by himself. Not only was he quick and attentive, but even under pressure, he remained incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. He never lost his spark, and that kind of service really makes a difference. And to the chefs... I could absolutely kiss you! It is SO hard to find a truly good Mexican restaurant in Alhambra and around the San Gabriel Valley that has that authentic Mexican flavor, and this place absolutely delivered. The food tasted authentic, comforting, and full of flavor. You have officially found yourselves a new regular! The ambiance was also perfect. Relaxing, welcoming, and with salsa and cumbias playing in the background--it gave the restaurant such a warm, homey vibe. It honestly felt like the kind of place you could sit, eat, drink, talk, and lose track of time. Thank you to everyone who helped make our dinner experience so enjoyable. From the kitchen to the service, everything was wonderful. You definitely have some new regulars moving forward!

First time here and definitely coming back. First I'm excited to see something different on Main Street, and we had to try it out. Service was great and food was delicious. Food tasted delicious and Aguas Frescas were so delicious.

The lamb was different than I expected, but great flavor. The mushrooms were so yummy and garlicky. The margarita was my favorite, tasted SO fresh and not too sweet. The cucumber one tasted like fresh cucumber juice.

Came here for their soft opening as they are testing things out. We got the street corn, enchiladas and some chips and guacamole as appetizers. They were amazing and cooked well. Maybe the best enchiladas here since they were crunchy and fresh. For starters we ordered the fish tacos and steak bowl. The steak was delicious and neatly plated. Fish tacos were very crispy and smelled really good. They have so many sauces here and it was hard to stick to one, we had a sauce tray and tried all. The server and cooks were all amazing and welcoming! Gilbert the chef was definitely top tier and made the most delicious Mexican cuisines. We had cucumber aqua fresca as horchata for drinks and they were amazing with the perfect sweetness levels. Interior of this place is great very clean and modern with lots of seating. Anyways if you're in 626 Alhambra Main st. I would definitely recommend this place for a snack or meal or even a drink and they have a mini bar as well!

Brought the family to this New Mexican restaurant. We were seated right away. Server offered us chips and salsa on the house. Took a while but food was worth the wait.

The food was incredibly delicious, I came here for my anniversary it was a great choice to celebrate. Definitely recommend you try this New Mexican restaurant the service was top tier! Way better than kalaveras. Coming back to try more.

First time coming here and I can already tell I'm coming back! Glad to have some great Mexican food in the area! The service was so welcoming especially with Uriel who took very great care of us. Can't wait for the next time!

For the price of food and the amount you get, I can't complain! The flavor of their own seafood boil sauce (boom sauce?) is a standard seafood boil flavor, it's legit. The flavors don't overwhelm you and make you wanna go to the toilet right away, you know what I mean? The family pack comes with 3 corn on the cob, 3 sausage pieces and 3 potatoes (like a medium sized potato!) it was good but I wish the seafood had time to sit in the sauce, you can tell the food was dumped on the sauce. We had to fight to scoop some sauce onto our mussels cause the bag was so full of food- what a good problem to have. Maybe the sauce is a bit thin? Maybe that's why it didn't stick to the food? Service was good, the ladies were attentive and professional. The decor looked like this place was known to be a bar- I mean there's a huge bar to the side. There's even a second floor but no one was seated there so it doesn't look used. Cute decor with the sea theme. Not happy about their toilet in the women's restroom. There's a a sign saying to please not dispose the toilet seat covers in the toilet cause it could clog it up. I was being a nice person and went to the trouble of respecting their wishes. It was gross as I was being careful not to touch the peed parts of the toilet seat cover. Don't judge me, only God can judge me! Come here to feed your family and friends at a very reasonable price! And if you're a lady you're gonna have to hover while you pee if you don't want to deal with the toilet seat cover disposal issue...

Their signature dish - their "house special lobster"- is the most flavorful preparation of lobster that one can have. The lobster is fried and the juicy bites of meat is layered with garlic, green onions, and sweetness. If you're lucky, you might get some roe, which gives extra salinity. An order of lobster presently costs $34/lb and a "small lobster" will weigh 3-4 lbs; therefore, I only order this signature dish for special occasions. Even if you don't want lobster, don't fret as the rest of the menu is equally delicious. Their "yang chow fried rice", crab and fish maw soup, beef loc lac, and clams with basil sauce are all personal favorites. I love their lunch specials as their entrees come with rice, but at a slightly lower price. The food is top notch, and it brings amazing Vietnamese and Cantonese flavors to this location in the San Gabriel Valley. For a special occasion with my wife or with a group, this is always a winning pick.

The lobster was cut and fried in a way that made the meat tucked inside the shell really easy to get to, which made the whole experience so enjoyable. And that gravy... I was literally sucking on the lobster shell trying to get every last bit. So, so good. We also had a stir-fried green vegetable--possibly watercress--and it was delicious. Simple, savory, and cooked just right. I loved having something fresh and green alongside all the richer dishes. Great food, warm service, and such a fun meal to share with a group. I'll definitely be back.
