I recommend this company 100%. First and foremost their price can't be beat. My neighbor and I needed two large pines cut down due to aging and bee infestation (the bees had been removed several times and continued to return). Lightning had struck one of the trees and it was rotting. My neighbor called the company, OM responded immediately and were here super quick to asses and give a quote. They were then back later in the week to cut down the trees. The owners supervised the process and were here to answer any questions we had. Everyone with the company was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The bees were a problem, but it didn't seem to bother the workmen what so ever. Not one complained! Talk about bravery!! The two large pines were cut down within hours and we had one of the stumps removed. Not to mention it was so fun to watch the tree removal. I have used this company 4 times in the last 4 years for tree removals. The first time, they were the lowest bidder with the best equipment. I haven't bothered with anyone else since. Their work and clean-up has always been really good. None of my trees have been located very close to the house, but a couple were very close to power lines. I do NOT recommend OM Tree Service. Initially we provided a 5 star review as we were asked to upon completion. Everything seemed fine until we saw our trees damaged by spike marks and most severe is our roof which now has a1 large hole (see photo) and 3 other damaged spots on roof. Initially I heard a limb fall on our roof and I went outside and was assured by the foreman all was good. Well we should have went on roof to check it out. I reached out to OM three times with photos asking for assistance and for OM to look at roof. Unfortunately the customer service stopped then. No follow up, and radio silence. I realize every other review is 5 star which I thought weird at first but went decided to use them bc of pricing. Big mistake!! Plan to reach out to OMs insurance directly with a claim. This is our first experience with OM Tree Service. We interviewed 4 companies and selected OM, even though thye are not rated with BBB and others had positive BBB ratings. When we dove into the details, we felt our best option was to go with OM Tree Service. They gave us a reasonable price, quick turnaround and the did a fantastic and professional job of removing a large dying oak tree that had branches hanging over our home. We also have a lot of large windows that could have been compromised. They completed the job without incident. I collected 4 bids to take down a ~30ft black willow tree in the back yard. OM came out with a bid even to the lowest of the other three. I chose them because I liked the guy they sent to bid, he offered me proof of insurance before I'd asked, and he asked me lots of questions about my preferences. They came out the same week with a large crew. It was super interesting watching them work. These guys were clearly experienced professionals with all the tools and safety gear to quickly and safely take down my tree and clean up after. Excellent service. Marty was clear and honest in his communication about expectations for the trees we needed removed from our yard and the prices were fair. The workers were efficient and professional. I was a bit concerned at one point because one of the guys was dropping limbs on a wire that runs from a utility pole to my roof, but they didn't do any damage to it. They were nice enough to come back a few days later to grind down some roots that I failed to point out because they were a bit hidden in the grass, and they didn't charge any extra for that request. This was our time to use tree trimming services. We have 2 huge pine trees in our front yard. Boy, are they messy trees to have with pine cones all over the place. Omar was very professional and knowledgeable on his work. He educated me that pine tree branches are dead. I guess that's why the debris comes down all over my yard. I really appreciate the prompt responses from him via phone/text before the service. He was very reasonable on his prices. His crew did an awesome job on cutting down one of my trees and stump grinding it. The 2nd tree just needed to be cleaned up and trimming of the branches. Edit: After a discussion with one of the owners, I'm amending my review. I stand by my initial assessment that I was unsatisfied with the communication but should have been more clear in my review that the work was fine. My perspective is that, in the midst of this pandemic and economic recession, customers need to know what their getting for their money. Because they were no call/no shows several times, and I had taken off work on those days to meet them, I actually lost more money than what they charged. At the same time I understand that they're a small business and I would rather support them than some larger corporation. Nobody is perfect, and as a guy that manages dozens of employees, I know and understand that shit happens and not every job is smooth or perfect. I'll leave my initial review below and update from one-star to four, the last missing star being communication. If they had been more communicative I would have had no issues. OM, I wish y'all the best. Original: No call/no show four times. Showed up an hour and a half late on the fifth try. Workers were very unprofessional. Spent more time joking around with each other than actually working. They also smashed my birdhouse when they felled the tree (accidents happen) but then one of the workers tried to hide it from us. The owner met me at our house and we discussed the scope of work that needed to be done and he promptly provided a very competitive quote. If you are looking for a tree service go no further than here. These are the best in Houston. Omar and Marty are the owners and showed up when they were doing the job for me. I had three trees trimmed and I was very concerned that it be done correctly. The other four guys that showed up were like busy little bees making sure everything was done just right. I had one tree that the limbs were touching my roof and another 60 year old live oak tree in my neighbors yard that the limbs were over my roof. The man that they had up in the tree was incredible and amazing how he cut the big limbs without dropping anything on my roof. The limbs were then taken to a bin and sawed up into little pieces by one of the other men. I was so impressed and I am very particular. I had called two other tree services in the area and the first one gave me a quote, but nothing else happened. The second tree service gave me a quote and made an appointment for a week later, but he never showed up a week later. When I called OM tree service I was greeted on the telephone by Kelly who was very nice and very pleasant. She called their salesman Chris who was at my property in 15 min to give me a quote. The quote was very reasonable as I had already gotten two other quotes. Chris assured me that someone would be on my property to help the workers with what I wanted done. That really happened. Chris was very nice and took the time to see exactly what I wanted done, It was a very pleasant experience. The men from OM Tree Service showed up early and got the job done in a very safe and fast manner. Omar stayed with me during the whole process and explained how they do things. After the job was complete my property was restored to how it was before they came, except even better because now my trees were trimmed. I was called by Kelly after the job was done to make sure everything turned out how I wanted it. Chris came by after the job was done to make sure everything we talked about was done.
