had a scheduled appointment on April 17, with an arrival between 8:30 AM and 9 AM. Not only did the crew not arrive during that time, but I called at 9:15 to get an ETA the Representative, a young woman, Informed me the crew was running behind and she would send message for them to come after 10:30 AM. 10:30 AM came and went, and I called back at 10:44 AM to ask about an ETA. I was then informed that the crew would not arrive until between 1 PM and 2 PM... Which was not my scheduled appointment, and I was unavailable during that time. I told the representative that either I receive a discount or I would have to go with another company. The representative said "I think it's best that you go with another company because we already gave you a discount". Not only was this unprofessional, but to inconvenience me, a paying customer, due to their lack of time management and communication is extremely unprofessional. I informed the representative that I would like to speak with the manager regarding this issue and I still have not received a returned phone call. I did reschedule with another company, Garcia professional tree service, and they did an amazing job. read more

Two years ago, JPR took out a stump and trimmed all the trees in our yard and were wonderful. We recommended them to friends and, again, they were wonderful. I recently had JPR come and remove a tree from my yard. They got the job done but my yard is full of large dings, and they left a huge pile of the mulch from grinding the stump. They also ran over my neighbor's mailbox and destroyed it. It was replaced, but within a week the post was already coming apart. After two requests it doesn't look like anything has been done to get it back to its original condition. I'm so disappointed. read more

So since June 1st I've been trying for to get these guys come to our house and then when they arrived they just lay all over our front yard because they were on "lunch break ". And on top of that they charged us $80 for them to leave. Mr. Cesar kept calling our actions "inhumane " because we didn't want them to be laying all over the front of my yard? If they were still on their lunch break why come to another job? Finish your break and then come to work, When looking for tree service go with another company please read more

As a new homeowner, this was my first experience using a tree service. After getting quotes from other companies, I contacted JRP for a free estimate. We ended up having trees trimmed and one removed, and I couldn't be happier. The crew that came out was very friendly and knocked the job out quickly. They left everything just as clean as they found it, I am extremely pleased with the end result. If you're looking for a tree service in Houston, look no further. read more

If there was a way to give 0 stars I would. They quoted $1500 over the phone. Then when they came to see what needed to be done told me that a few other trees needed to be cut that were hanging over my property line. By the time he explained what would be done the quote was over $2600. I agreed as I wanted the property line clear due to the installation of a pool. The crew showed up with stick blades to reach up and cut from the ground. I went out and explained that the entire branches need to be cut back from the property line and pointed out the trees. I had to go out multiple times as they seemed to be totally unaware of what was quoted. They did not finish the job and just disappeared. Of course, they immediately charged my credit card without even calling to make sure I was satisfied with the job. I contacted the sales guy 4 days later due to the Memorial Holiday and was told he would come by. He never did but has been responding to messages by text for almost 5 months that he will come back. The job still remains incomplete, and I will hire another company to come do it correctly and complete the work. read more

JRP Tree and Demolition Services LLC in March 2023 refused to repair my gutter after a large branch fell on my roof causing damage to my gutter and screen. The supervisor, Mr. Cesar was notified by phone at the time the incident occurred, I sent him before and after pictures before the workers left by home. After several unsuccessful attempts by texts, email and phone calls to Mr. Cesar about the repairs, I called the Project manager, Ms. Morales who said she was unaware of the damage. All the text messages, emails and pictures, also the cost for repair by a certified gutter company was sent to her by a certified letter. I spoke to Ms. Morales in August 2023 for an update, she told me her boss only approved 200 dollars and he refused to cover the full cost which was 375 dollars I told Ms. Morales I did not receive a check for 200 dollars. I asked her to have the owner call me. I never received a call from him. From March 2023 to September 2023 several efforts were made for JRP Tree and Demolition Services LLC to honor their responsibility to repair my gutter which never happened. I am very disappointed JRP is not the company I thought they were. Mr. Cesar assured me if they caused any damage to my property, they would take care of it. I trusted this company. Unfortunately, I was deceived by their ratings. JRP Tree and Demolition Services / 3321 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77047 read more

Due to a wind storm last weekend one tree that was dead that I wanted cut down blew over. A neighbor recommended a company and I called them, but their arborist didn't seem interested in doing our work. JRP had left a flyer on our door right after the storm so I gave them a call. Reynaldo was at our house within an hour. JRP was so reasonably priced I asked about trimming the other 6 trees I have. I was surprised by the low price and how knowledgeable Reynaldo was. JRP had a crew on site in one hour and completed the work the next day with grinding the stump of the dead tree on the third day. My trees look like trees again instead of bushes and I am not concerned about blow down with hurricane season approaching. They left very little debris and did great job. The crew was courteous and easy to work with. I have recommended them to a friend already and will have them back in 5 years when I will need trimming again. read more

I initially requested a quote for a debris removal project on their website, but I never heard back from them. I called three times over the next 2 weeks to try to talk to somebody, and each time I was told I would get a call the next day with a quote. I never received a quote for my debris removal and went with a different company instead. read more

** EDITED REVIEW ** When we originally met with the gentleman that gave us a quote for trimming our trees, he told us that scheduling would reach out to us to schedule our service appointment. My husband had to call back a week later to set the appointment up himself, because he never heard from anyone. When he called, they told him that he was scheduled for Friday, but they didn't know if it was morning or evening, and that someone would let him know on Wednesday. No one called to give my husband this update on Wednesday, so he had to call AGAIN to find out on Thursday. We had an appointment scheduled to have our trees trimmed, with the time window of 1p-4p today. When no one had come, or notified us that the schedule was running behind by 3:30p, my husband called to get an update of when someone would arrive. He was told that someone would call him back with an update. We never received a call. My husband called again at 5p, and was told that the project manager claimed he tried calling, but the call went straight to voicemail. No message was left. The lady my husband was speaking to informed him then that no one would be coming today, and that we could reschedule for next week. This is incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. While we do understand that it did rain for a little bit today, which could have potentially made schedules run behind, NO ONE EVER communicated that with us. We had to call TWICE today to be told that no one was coming. ** EDIT ** After writing this review, my husband received a call within about 30 minutes from scheduling, stating that a crew would be working the following day (Saturday), and that they could have a crew out for an appointment with us first thing in the morning. My husband asked for a specific time, and he was told the crew would be at our home first thing, between 8-8:30am, which my husband agreed to. The following morning, no one had shown up by 8:30a. This time, my husband was not going to make multiple phone calls, we were just going to go about our day and continue to take our business elsewhere. As he was about to leave to run an errand, the crew showed up, just after 9:00a. My husband allowed them to continue with the service. After only about 45 minutes, they were already cleaning up and about to leave. My husband had to go out and point out several neglected places in our trees, and ask them to continue trimming. At this point, we are not displeased with the tree trimming. It is disappointing that my husband did have to ask the crew to properly trim, but the final result is acceptable. Our end goal would never be to tarnish a company's reputation, but the fact remains that the communication from this business was completely lacking, and not acceptable. They have called multiple times, after the fact, to follow up. This is the same attention that should have been given before and during the service window though. And not only because of a bad review. read more

Three workers carefully assessed trimming and raising the canopy of my 2 Oak Trees. There was a man for each tree and a third to pickup trim droppings to place in the yellow chopper. As work progressed, they took time to ask if I was happy. YES! I am happy with their work and moreover delighted that they cleaned and took away all trimmings. After sharing videos with friends and family, I'm sure JRP Services will receive more work. And, I will be a repeat customer. JRP Services is fully insured. Thank you Amaury Ponce. Your professionalism and tree knowledge as a ISA Certified Arborist is assuring. Ms Verna read more

They did what they promised for the amount they promised... cut down two huge palms and ground the stumps. Great job.

Working with JRP was a breeze! I received a very competitive quote quickly and, once accepted, the work was scheduled and completed within a week. The crew arrived on time and was very professional. Their clean-up was meticulous. It would be hard to imagine finding a better company! read more

Reynold and his team did a fantastic job! We had 4 large oak trees removed in order to install our pool. I was very nervous to have these large trees removed because they were around power lines and halfway in our neighbors yard, but the team took their time and did wonderful. They even let me keep a couple slabs of the trunk. Reynaldo checked in on the progress daily and kept in close contact with me until the job was done. I highly recommend JRP!!! read more

We got a super fair estimate from Amaury with JRP to remove a couple of small/medium trees and trim some bushes. The rains kept them away a day or so, but we communicated by text. They came as soon as weather permitted and did the work quickly and cleaned up afterwards. We were very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend & use again. Nice people, good communication & great work!! read more

My son mistakenly gave me JRP T&D's number while I was trying to get the number for another company from whom I couldn't get a rep to my house for 5 days. I hadn't researched companies very well and hadn't heard of JRP. JRP offered a rep to my house the next morning. Amaury assessed my diseased tree and offered me a price well below my budget to remove it. We scheduled removal for after TG holiday; however, he called later that day and sent his crew the next morning. I had them trim my other trees as well, still staying within my budget. They were done in 6 hrs. I thought they did a fabulous job. read more
