Our friend took us to this place, and it is clear this would be a regular spot for us if we lived here. You enter from the northeast end of the building, go through security, and pay your entry fee (which I think was $15 on a Friday night). We wound through the main dance hall that had some dark, artsy vibe before going through the T-shaped hallway that revealed some private group rooms with red lighting, before a large birdcage space appeared before us that you enter through the other bar area -- which I didn't realize until I made it to the other bar area to see the doorway. I thought there was a lock with a large key that I was missing. But I digress. The Negronis were on point, and I enjoyed them outside as the weather was fine and not freezing or hot. The service was fast, but it wasn't packed yet at 10 PM local time, so maybe give it an hour or two; then it may be a different story. There are two bar areas for the record, with the first one by the entrance where you arrived. The Mockingbird is definitely a lot of fun to enjoy.

We stuck to our inner group circle like a lot of others do.. The girls totally enjoyed the music and all aside from the Edgar creepers who try to no avail but then absorb the hint.. bumpings or a slight unintended push is a given in a packed place of young edgars..a fight was inevitable amongst all the broccoli haircut Edgar's as per usual in these settings. But other than that when girls say they're here for the music.. they're here for The 90's 2000's throwback mixes blended with reggaeton. Prolly return.. hopefully with less wannabe EDGARS everywhere

Your job is not to guess what PERSONAL meds I have on me. Did you also know some people may NEED their prescriptions without having to explain that to you?? You're not pharmacists. What your JOB IS to make sure there aren't 1) weapons or 2) drugs meant for **distribution** (i.e., large quantities). That is it, dummys. The god complex is very pathetic to experience. Leave people with their personal meds alone and don't touch private parts. This is one spot where they are taking their positions WAY too far and beyond and it ain't that serious. The venue itself is fun and has quite a few different rooms to hang out in. The main floor has SO many people PARKING ON THE DANCE FLOOR which is sooooo anoyyyiinggg. It's like these kids just wanna be or say they're "at the club" but they don't actually even "club". Go to the back and stand. Don't stand right in front of the damn DJ. They do have lots of popular DJs here and often more the type of music I'm personally into. The real popular ones, though, are so high up all you can see is a shadow of a person--amazing, lol. If you have the luxury of a car, leave anything remotely questionable in there. I don't ever drive here so I have to try and think hard before leaving my home since I can't even bring Aleve or Benadryl without them causing an issue (which is something I have literally never once before in my entire life going anywhere EVER have had to think about). When you get your door staff's crap together, maybe there will be another update.

Oh, and this is for management who allows this ridiculous behavior. I could not join my friends OVER A CUTICLE TRIMMER. The level at which you dig through women's purses is Church nightclub inappropriate level of you've lost your minds. Listen, let me tell you what your *job* is: 1) to make sure lethal weapons don't make it inside 2) to make sure drugs *in distribution quantities* don't make it inside What the hell do you think I'm going to do with a cuticle trimmer? Go around and trim everyone's cuticles inside the club? Manicures for all? It sure ain't a lethal weapon, you fools. There are security people at the doors of some of these sad little clubs in Denver who literally think their lives are made worthwhile if they are intrusive with customers and make unfair demands on them, touch all their stuff like they own it, and then act like they can take it from you without even so much as ASKING PERMISSION OR CONSENT. Trust me, all that does is make you people look very small and extremely pathetic. You are NOT helping anyone in the slightest or creating any value, not to mention you are not doing your actual *job* by being this way. It's not what you're there for and it's sad you aren't properly trained. May you all be cursed with thick, painful cuticles.

It was everything we wanted it to be and more. They checked our tix at the door along with IDs. It's a large space inside, they have coat check for $4. They have a lot of beer options, cocktails, and even mocktails and NA drinks. I got an NA cider that had a blueberry lime flavor and it was super delish. The DJ... the GFX on screen... the music. Everything was a 10/10. The DJ looked like he was having the time of his life and his energy was so infectious. One of the best DJs I've seen, I even said I hope I can get a DJ like this for my wedding one day because he was so so so fun. The crowd was having such a good time and so many people were dressed with the 2000s theme. The GFX on screen added to the night with hilarious 2000s throwbacks like Paint and WordArt. Plenty of space inside, there's an upstairs with tables and the bar and downstairs has more of a dance floor. Definitely recommend planning a night out here, you'll have so much fun!
