You never want to need to use a towing service company. However if you do need one, then All Area…read moreTowing is the company you want to use. Last November, we had to have our 2007 Lexus ES350 towed from Danville to our mechanic in Concord. We called All Area Towing and spoke with Al. He quoted us a price for the job and stuck with that price when we scheduled the appointment a week later. Al showed up to our house and got our car out of our garage and then onto his truck and was off to Concord. Our car made it to our mechanic and we paid Al on the spot. Al and All Area Towing are a very good company and I will use them in the future if needed.

Al was fantastic, he really knows what he's doing with 40 years of experience. He knows the area so…read morewell that he got to the mechanic's shop before we did even though we saw him waiting at the weigh station as we sped up the freeway! He took the backroads & beat by at least 5 min! Of course we wish we hadn't needed a tow, but I am so glad we decided not to use Agero, who contracts with our auto insurance company for Roadside Assistance. We have had many bad experiences with them. We called the Towing companies in the Walnut Creek/Concord/Pleasant Hill area, & we liked Al from the start. He was personable, and he has people skills that others sorely lack. He beat the best price we had & he stuck to it the following week when we confirmed with him and arranged for our mechanic to take possession of the car so he could order parts & get started on the repairs. You won't regret working with Al, he's a real Champ.

Didn't even reach out to me. Alex from Turbo Tow text messaged me after I posted the 2star review above. I called him. He advised me that the tow truck driver arrived, called my phone- it went straight to voicemail. Driver called Alex and left because they didn't see my car. (How could they? It was in the garage.) A simple confirmation to ring the doorbell would have solved the matter. He explained that when they couldn't contact me, the driver moved onto the next customer. Alex advised that they can come back in 30 minutes but when I said that another tow service is already on their way, he advised me to call the other tow service so I can note their phone numbers in case they call me. I heartily recommend Turbo Tow for their professionalism.

No attitude, no BS, he asked for the address and said he was on his way. I had called a tow company in our town, and they picked up with just a "hello?" (no company name just hello) and then said it's too early to ask for someone to help with a lock out. The second which was dispatched by our insurance said he was 3-4hrs out so we cancelled him immediately. Mt Diablo was friendly and so fast with a very reasonable price! He had the truck unlocked in 5 minutes and my husband was able to get to his first job site of the day. It really means a lot to us who's business is also run on being responsive and showing up! Everyone was super kind, professional, and helpful during a very stressful situation. David was awesome, safe driver, courteous, great conversation, and clearly knew what he was doing. I have a Tesla Model S which sits very low to the ground, and their flatbed tow truck had a breakaway setup specifically for low profile cars so there was no risk of scraping or ripping off the bumper. That alone gave me peace of mind. They towed me from Walnut Creek to the Antioch/Brentwood border and made the whole process smooth and stress free. You can tell this is a family owned and operated towing company that truly cares about their customers. If you need towing service for a Tesla, EV, luxury car, or any low clearance vehicle in the East Bay, I highly recommend this company. Reliable, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely good people. I can't recommend them enough.

The tow driver was not at fault, but the dispatch and their policies are corrupt and, in this…read moreinstance, actually dangerous. Around midnight, my front driver's side tire failed while I was driving home. I called for roadside assistance through the Geico app, which routed me to Mick's Towing in Berkeley and instructed me to stay with my vehicle. I was broken down in an isolated area of East Oakland, and while I waited, several strangers approached my car, at times trying to get in, at times harassing me. When the tow driver finally arrived, he put his dispatcher on speakerphone, who told me I needed to pay $60 up front, either cash or by reading off my credit card number, before any service would be provided. Because I'd recently moved, I didn't have my physical wallet on me, only Apple Pay and Zelle. When I explained this and asked what would happen if I couldn't pay that way, the dispatcher told me flatly: "No money, no service. We'll go home." No clarify, my insurance said this was NOT policy and that they would be reviewing the vendor relationship with Micki's Towing. I had no idea that not having a physical card in hand could mean forfeiting roadside assistance altogether, the exact service I pay for to protect me in situations like this one. Being stranded, alone, at night, in an area where I did not feel safe, and then being told I'd be left there over a payment method technicality is not the experience I expect from a service I'm counting on for my safety. When I was finally able to call a friend to read her card number over the phone, the technician finally loaded my car onto the truck. I didn't think having car insurance meant that I'd be held up by my service provider before a rescue. 0/10 can't recommend and I'll be submitting my report to the Better Business Bureau.
