The staff is very friendly and helpful if you need assistance with your order. The menu is extensive and I have yet to find a dish I didn't like. My favorite dish is "Mofongo con Camarones al Ajillo" (Fried plantain ball with shrimp in garlic sauce). It is made to order so I have to wait a good 15-20 minutes unless I call ahead but it is so worth it!! Oh, did I mention take out is available!! Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I ordered the bistec encebollado with yellow rice, maduros, potato balls, and the porkchops. The potato balls tasted like the freezer and could not have been freshly made. The flavor was yummy at first but the freezer aftertaste was unbearable and had to be sent straight to the garbage. The pork chop was LIGHTLY seasoned and was very disappointing as pork is usually a home run in Hispanic cuisine. It is something we truly take pride in and often cook with love and care. Unfortunately at this establishment, that was not the case. I gave this restaurant 3 stars because half of my meal was a 2 and half of my meal was a 4. The 4 star end of the meal was the steak, MMMMM that steak was so good! It provided my taste buds with a mix of garlicky, browned, caramelize oniony flavors that was complemented well with the flavorful yellow rice. The maduros came in a hefty serving as well. This is a great Spanish food spot. It's Dominican food and I love everything thing I get here. My two favorites are the garlic shrimp mofongo. It is made fresh so there's a bit of a wait but completely worth it. My other favorite it the baked skillet fish...it's made tender and has a butter lime sauce that is right on point. Stopped for a late lunch on 2/21/14 and got a great meal. You can order off the menu or grill or place your order with already prepared food. We chose to order from the prepared food and was not disappointed. Yellow rice and pork chops for me and white rice, beans, soup, and chicken for the rest of the group. This is one of the best spots around here for some good Dominican food. It pains me so much that I can no longer eat their mofongo with shrimp since I've become allergic to shellfish.
