Employee said that I "Jack off all day" and that his boss does too. When I called his boss to discuss this with him I was told it was "just a joke" and that they talk like that there, and it doesn't bother him or hurt his feelings. When I told him it wasn't about feelings I was told to "grow up" and was hung up on. Very unprofessional. Dishonest CROOKS. Took car in for just estimate, did repairs before approval! Was told to bring car in that morning and my car would be put on rack and see whats needs to be done. I arrived at 8:30 am, car wasn't touched until 3 hours later. I know because I stayed ALL DAY to wait on it since I live an hour away. Was charged for 4.5 hours labor when I KNOW it was actually worked on for 2 hours. The worst part of this...CAR STILL HAS SAME PROBLEM...WAS NOT FIXED!!!!Scamming crooks! BEWARE. Drove in for a AC check. Dropped off Tuesday morning. I kept calling asking about it. Never would return my call. Finally called me back on Thursday telling me my starter froze. Asked about AC and was told shut off door in dash was bad. Asked how much to have it replaced. Told me they still need to diagnose to make sure. Told Bill I would pickup truck on Friday. Show up Friday and Bill tells me they ordered me a new starter. Told Bill no. I never authorized any work. Was still waiting on AC issue. Never mentioned it catching fire or having to use a fire extinguisher. Found out on Saturday after I paid to tow home that my motor burnt. Turns out the starter is fine. Called Monday to ask about motor fire. Was told Bill is on the toilet and for me to call back in 10 minutes. Said no. Have Bill call me back. Never happened. I call them the next day. Bill now tells me he is sorry he never mentioned a fire on my motor. Asked what they were going to do about it now. Said it's not their fault. Such a disappointment to be lied to. Do not trust these people. No ownership of their mistakes and can't even be honest with you. read more

I get home and guess what yall it's still leaks!! I've had my older car serviced at the Olympic on 29th Street a few times over the past year (by the way, the phone number for that location is 979-846-0861). They are an old-timey mechanic shop. I often chat directly with the mechanic about my issues. He tells me what he plans to do to investigate the symptoms. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. Eventually I get my car back, and they've done what they said they would, and at a price that is half (or less) what I would pay to have the dealer do the work. Furthermore, I have seen them have nice conversations with regular customers, and spontaneously help someone having car trouble in the parking lot next door. It's not perfect: they're a small operation, so sometimes it can take them time to get parts, or to find time to do the work. Sometimes they order a part, it takes a few days to arrive, and then it doesn't fix the problem and they order a different part, which takes a few more days, etc. Once my car was ready but they didn't tell me until I called them a couple days later to ask why the work was taking so long. And yet another time they forgot to fasten the wheel well liner back to the frame. But these are relatively minor complaints. They have done good work for me, at a very good price, and they have been pleasant to work with. read more

This has become my go to auto mechanic for everything. They are very honest and do an excellent job. Instead of trying to sell me a whole new a/c compressor like other places did they spend time taking it apart and putting it back together finding out that only a switch went bad. A/C has been working like a charm since then! And they did not charge me an arm and leg. I actually thought it was too cheap for all the work they put in it. Today, a year later, I went back due to an "unfixable" leak after an oil change. They remembered me, my vehicle and the a/c problem I once had. Instead of trying to sell me a new oil pan blaming it on it being stripped they went and got a perfect plug and gasket from another place right then and there and not a single drop since then! Again - I found it rather cheap compared to other places. They also reused my new oil and checked all other fluids + tires. read more

I had a really great experience here! I'm a girl in college and unfortunately clueless about cars. I was having some issues with my car and brought it in. They spent the time to go through everything with me and explain everything clearly and even took the time to source a part for me to give me an accurate estimate for price/time frame. I ended up not getting it done here because my mom wanted me to take it back to our autoshop in houston to get it repaired more quickly because I'm on a tight time frame. They patched up my problem for me and gave me advice and didn't pressure me into anything. The quote they gave me was affordable but the best part was how they took so much time on a busy day to help me and then didn't charge a dime. Olympic automotive is one of the best automatic shop in the Bryan/college station area. My car wouldn't start and I wasn't able to pay the $60 to have it towed at the time. So Olympic worked with the tow company and I was able to pay after the car was fixed. I needed a new fuel pump and they called me and explained everything including why it was $479. However, I looked online and other people have been charged a lot more for the same service. I am really pleased with Olympic automotive and they have earned another repeat customer. read more

This place was terrible. I took my car there because my coolant was leaking and asked if they could give me a price estimate and see what the issue was. They did not contact me for three whole days so I had to call them. They asked me which car was mine then said they'd have to call me back. The next call they told me what the issue was so I asked how much that would be. Again, they had to call me back with that information. They finally said, "Yea we have to remove the engine to get to it and we've never dealt with this so you may want to just take it to Ford." Never have I been more pissed at a company. This showed me that they did not even look at my car until I called them. It took this terrible business 3 DAYS just to tell me they cannot work on it. I told them I'd come by tomorrow to come to pick it up (a Saturday). I WALK there and see that the door is locked. I see a gentleman inside and he says, "We're closed." I said I just needed my keys to which he replied "we're closed" as if I didn't hear him the first time. So I walk back home and can't get my car for another two days. I come to pick up my car finally after 5 days and my car has a thumbtack in a tire that wasn't there when I turned it in. So then I had to get my car with no coolant and a flat to another shop which I'm sure messed up my car even more. MISERABLE experience with this company and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. I chose to take my car here after looking over the reviews of several places near me and assumed this would be a good place to get my leaking coolant fixed. Greatly mistaken. I brought it in asking for an estimate. I heard nothing from them for 3 days. I had to call in to see what was going on. When I called, they said they had looked at it a day ago so I asked why was I not contacted. The man said, "we were a little busy." I was placed on hold while they went to check again what was wrong with my car. I asked how much their estimate was, which they said they had to call me back for since they did not have it already after 3 days. Once he returned to the line, he did not provide an estimate, he simply said I would be better off taking my car to Ford (I could not agree with him more now...). I said I would pick it up the next day (a Saturday). When I walked there on Saturday, they were closed but had a man inside. I did not realize they were closed (the man the day before mentioned nothing about it) so I attempted to open the door when I heard, "we're closed." To which I replied "I'm just picking up my keys," but it was only responded to with another "we're closed." The hours were not posted on Google Maps nor their home page online so I do not know how I was supposed to know this. Finally, on Monday, 6 days after I had first dropped it off, I go to pick up my car. No remedy/apologies or anything for the wait. To top it all of, my car's tire pressure was low... Absolutely terrible service and incompetence at this shop and if I were you, I would greatly reconsider taking your car here. As a college student here for summer classes, this experience has been miserable walking everywhere or having to pay $20 a day for an uber. I have never been so disappointed with a service so I this is my first review. read more

I used Olympic a year ago. They replaced a water pump on my Saturn SC1. They did a good job (the pump is still working, no problems!) They have reasonable prices. They will only install new parts, which will increase your price-tag. It is not a problem, unless you are broke like me. I also want to say they were very flexible with payment, and they let me bring the last third of the payment to them a day after! I showed up at about 5:00 without an appointment to get alignment checked. They close at 5:30. So the guy at the front desk called another place to see if they could squeeze me in. They couldn't. So, even though they were about to close, they still put my car up on the lift and took a look at it. The mechanic inspected all the problem areas and made sure he didn't miss anything. This took him 'til almost 5:30, and I know he wanted to leave. However, he did it all without an angry look on his face or a bad attitude. He also recommended I go to another place to make sure there was nothing wrong with my axle, because they have a good front end machine. I also had them check out my headlight and they recommended I also go to another place to get that done (but not because they weren't good at it, because the other place had better headlight parts. (So I'm pretty sure they weren't just trying to make money.) The mechanic was David and he seemed like he genuinely cared. They didn't charge me either. Thanks David. I'm giving this place a one-star review because we have brought vehicles in for work in the past, and the results would be ok. Not the most outstanding, but not the worst either, so we decided to come back to have another vehicle worked on. That was SEVEN MONTHS AGO!!!!!! Every time we come by to check on the status of the vehicle, there's some sort of excuse and we are told some lie like, "two more weeks and it'll be done". Nothing has been done, you'll get put on the back burner, be without a vehicle for nearly a year and sold lies. We will NEVER give them business again after this. One of the catalytic converters on my pickup disintegrated, so I had it replaced at Olympic. A week or so later I set out on a trip to FL to get some stuff I had stored there. I didn't make it out of College Station when the engine started failing, just like it had before the repair. This was a serious problem, as I had only a few days before classes started at A&M. Drove the truck back to the shop, where Bill was waiting after hours to meet me. HE GAVE ME HIS PERSONAL PICKUP TRUCK TO DRIVE FROM BRYAN TO TAMPA, FLORIDA AND BACK. Now, I'm not saying he will lend you his truck, but he will go out of his way to help people. And he and all the mechanics at Olympic know their stuff cold, and they're straight shooters -- they won't play games with you. You don't find many people or businesses like this in a lifetime. I won't even consider using another mechanic in BCS. (The problem, BTW, was that the second catalytic converter had failed just like the first.) read more
