I don't usually leave reviews like this, but this one is deserved…read more I brought my 2014 Volvo XC60 3.2 in and was charged $900.44 in parts for replacing four oxygen sensors (2 upstream, 2 downstream). I was told--after the fact--that the shop installed Denso sensors with a 1-year warranty. Here's the issue: * Denso sensors typically run about $100-$170 each * A full set of four should be roughly $450-$550 total * I was charged $900+, which is Volvo OEM pricing * Volvo OEM sensors typically come with a longer warranty (often 2 years) * Yet I received aftermarket parts and only a 1-year warranty So let's call this what it is: OEM pricing Aftermarket parts Shorter warranty That's not a small markup--that's a massive discrepancy. To make matters worse, none of this was clearly explained up front. There was no transparency about: * The actual brand being installed * The price difference between OEM vs aftermarket * Or why the pricing reflects something completely different than what was used At best, this is poor communication and inflated pricing. At worst, it feels like being charged for something I didn't receive. For anyone considering this shop: Ask for exact part numbers before work is done Look up pricing yourself (takes 2 minutes) Get the brand and warranty in writing Don't assume you're getting OEM just because you're paying OEM prices Because if you don't, you may end up in the same situation--paying nearly double for parts that aren't what you think they are. I have no issue paying for quality work. I do have an issue paying premium pricing for mid-tier parts with a reduced warranty. This should have been straightforward. It wasn't. Proceed carefully.
