This place has someone watching cars in the parking lots near A&M university. My family and I were from out of town visiting, parked at a taco bell, and went across the road to CVS for less than 10 minutes. When we came back, our car was gone. We had to get a uber and pay $340 to get it released. They only allow one person in the office, and the lady at the front desk was very rude. For a place making so much money off of legalized theft, the place is extremely shabby, and an electrical hazard. This business is a scam, preying on people to extort money. My truck was towed within minutes of stepping into a CVS, proving they lurk and wait to snatch vehicles. Retrieving it was a nightmare--over an hour wait, a sketchy lot, ignored at the door, and forced to pay $330 for their legalized theft. My truck came back damaged, and I suspect they entered my vehicle. This disgusting operation needs to be investigated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and shut down. My daughter and her boyfriend parked right behind the Taco Bell in College Station walked in to order the food they were in there about 15 minutes. Came out. Car was gone. Small sign was finally located. She called the number they found out where the car was and the lady said it's just now pulling in. so they obviously were watching them park the car and immediately when they didn't come right out, they went loaded the car up. My daughter works hard and goes to school and pays her own bills. She Proceeded to get a lift from a friend over to the location, she walked in. Worst company to do business with! They refused to let anyone help my 88 year old father get his personal items out of his truck. They wouldn't let anyone in with my father, one person at a time, and you had to be on my father's insurance on top of that. My husband had to wait outside by our truck for them to return. The YOUNG guy that drove my father in the golf cart to his truck didn't help my father at all the first trip. The 2nd trip, my husband instructed the guy to help my father unload his tools in the tool box because they were heavy. My husband called their office, while he was standing outside, and asked for the owners name....they said they didn't know, they were just the answering service....which was a little because they were in the office and the place wasn't closed! read more

I just need to grab a few items and be done in 10 minutes. She then said you can't just show up you need an appointment. ok how about today? All booked up She replied. Your choices are 2:30 - 4:30. I told her I had already missed work do to the wreck that was not my fault, had to take off time to see a dr and asked nicely if they could work with me. nope she said with absolutely no sympathy. Got my car towed here with a missing tire. They answer calls quickly which is nice but the lady that helped me at the office didn't know my car was needing to be towed from their lot to a tire place. They then approximated an hour for my car to get towed to the tire place and I waited over 2 1/2 hours. They also (like most towing places) charge you with so many random fees and fines that amounted to over $200 more than just the tow. Do not recommend using them if you have any choice at all. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I parked next to the CVS off of University and ran inside for a thank you card. The sign said to register your car within 10min. Tried the QR code and it didn't work for me. I was going to be inside for less than 5 min so I didn't bother trying harder. That was a $325 mistake. Horrible company. Only reason we used them is because the police in college station probably get a commission when they refer Excel towing because they did not give us a choice. My brother hit a curb and I had to have his car towed. They got there in a reasonable amount of time and while it cost too much it was competitive with everyone else. The place that was supposed to fix it didn't have a clue so the kid took it somewhere else and they took care of it. He was really nice and helpful. Got into a wreck and my car got towed to excel. when i came with my mother to get stuff out the vehicle, the lady at the front had an attitude and said that only one person could go back there. When I told my mom this she went in to do the papers. I then hear the lady begin to raise her voice at my mom and accuse me saying i "had an attitude" with her when i never spoke a word to her. Theses people said oh yeah we have your car but you to pay 400 something dollars plus each day it sits. Like they should at least wait 24 hours of the car sitting there so the owners can have a chance to get to their cars. Once you get there you have to have the title in hand or pay 6$ and sign a form to get your things. They won't let anyone in with you. Had a post game light night dead battery. I called Excel. They had someone on site in 10 minutes. Very nice, efficient, and professional. Yes, $75 is a bit pricey but that's the going rate. Stephen Monk was the tow-truck technician who came and rescued me - professional, reassuring, and most important, he got me out of traffic fast! Gave me a lift to my mechanic and helped me get signed in. I'd recommend them when you're in a bind, CSPD prefers them too! read more

This towing company is the worst of the worst! The lady's in the waiting room are rude and try and charge you for bogus charges. I was charged an extra 25$ and when I asked why and if it can be removed I was threatened by them saying "we will call the cops if you don't pay and have you kicked out of here" so I called the cops myself and as soon as I made the call they offer to resolve the issue. I met my father at the company to gather belongings and take pictures of the vehicle. They only allow 1 person in the back at a time and would not allow me to go in the back because I wasn't on my parents insurance. While waiting for my dad to come back in the parking lot I get into a confrontation with an employee (Karen) who was sitting in a car on her phone after she yelled at my sons. As I approach her car she jumps out and begins arguing with me, goes into the building and pulls a lime green piece of paper stating that I'm trespassing and need to leave or she'd call the police! This place is the WORST of the worst!!! The receptionist or whatever she is was rude, and unprofessional! Our daughter had a horrible experience with this tow company. Not only are the office staff rude, they yell at people. If despicable treatment of customers isn't bad enough, they also add bogus charges to your bill and won't release your car until you pay said charges. Her car was on their lot (NOT impounded, although they charged for that) for about 24 hours, and they made her pay $425 before they'd release it. Then they tried to take a "$15 tip" (their words) so they wouldn't have to give change when she paid in $20 bills. This place only cares about money. My truck was stolen and used during s robbery. It was then towed to Excel. I, the victim of the crime, had to pay $213.13 just to get my truck back. The most compassion this heartless administrator/ secretary could muster was giving me $10.00 off. She really asked me who I thought should have to pay, in her passive aggressive way. Howdy! I really don't like how excel towing only allowed one person in the building at a time. When my roommate got towed, I picked her up and attempted to go in with her to help her get her car. The man in charge did not let anyone go in with her. I don't think that's appropriate because being a 19 year old woman is scary enough, but being a 19 year old woman alone in a building with a random man at One in the morning is not okay. I understand having to tow cars that break parking policies. However, when a woman has to go into a sketchy building alone after waiting for the company for thirty minutes, that's when I have an issue. read more
