We have been going to Dr. Olson for years and love him and his staff! My kids who are now adults still go to hime. He is always very friendly and caring. He remembers you after just the first visit, and helps you understand what changed from the last visit, or how he can help you with any new issues. After my son went in for issues after brain surgery, Dr. Olson helped us out and followed up a few weeks later. read more

This is the second appointment I have had with Dr. Olson. The last prescription and lenses I received from home have been the best fitting ones as far as my somewhat complicated vision, (astigmatism!) I just completed my second appointment, which reemphasized that Dr. Olson is very thorough and knowledgeable as an Optometrist. He and his staff are all very kind people as well! read more

Dr Murray is an empathetic, caring professional. The staff is friendly and efficient. A great place for your eye care needs.

The office is clean, service is friendly, prompt, and thorough; and Dr. Murray is just the best. I've had a long term problem where sometimes when I get a new prescription, it'll mess up my depth perception so badly I feel like I'm drunk and can't wear my new glasses at all. I told Dr. Murray about this, and during my examination, she figured out what was causing the problem and was able to correct for it. So she managed to solve problem I've had for thirty years or more. Finally, I'm not nervous about ordering new glasses with my new script. Needless to say, I recommend them. read more

I have been going to this office and seeing Dr. Rikard Olson for about 6 years. Each experience has been wonderful and he is very professional, thorough, and caring. Both he and his staff are very polite and more importantly very patient when dealing with insurance matters. read more

first let me say I'm a pretty introverted person that is usually pretty critical of most customer service. that doesn't mean i care to be negative rather recognize when people go above and beyond. Dr Murry is one of the very most kind and professional people that I've ever met. Her calm and honest demeanor is reassuring and comforting. I'd highly recommend this clinic for your optometry needs. read more

Dr. Murray was very thorough but caring at the same time. SHe took the time to explain her findings, what they could possibly mean and ways to treat it. The whole experience from the waiting room to Dr. Murrays exam room was efficient and well organized. James Vasquez read more

Dr. Murray did a great job taking photos of my retina, testing for glaucoma, and inspecting the optical nerve and blood vessels on my annual eye exam. She warmly welcomed me upon entry to her office in Costco on 92nd Avenue and quickly escorted me to the area where she began her testing. She also evaluated my vision while changing lenses in and out periodically to determine the correct prescription for me. The prescription she presented me is good for 2 years, although I will be back in a year to ensure the health of my eyes remains perfect. She did a a very professional evaluation which I appreciate. She processed me out and payment was made for her services. read more

Dr. Olson is the best! He is always so kind, attentive, straight forward with a twist of good humor. Offices are always clean and comfortable and sometimes you forget your sitting inside of a Costco. I can't say enough about this optometrist. Been going here for over a decade and plan to continue until I move away or end up getting lasik corrective surgery. That will be a good day for not having to use corrective lenses or glasses, but a sad day to stop visiting this great place. Pretty much as good as it gets here. Thank you! read more

I have been using Dr. Olson for years. He always listens, is patient, and gives me what I need in terms of service. There was a time a couple years ago where he spent a lot of time going above and beyond for an issue I was having and I can't say enough about how much I appreciated his help. His offices are always neat and clean - it feels good there. I will always go back to Dr. Olson as long as I can. read more

Compassionate eye care that has helped me to improve my eyesight every year. I highly recommend this Eyecare center.

I'm always super happy with the care I receive from Dr. Olson and his staff. The women at the front of the office are always so pleasant. And Dr. Olson takes time explaining things and answering my questions. When I first visited a year ago we tried every contact lense under the sun. Dr. Olson was very patient and attentive to my comfort issues with the lenses. Unfortunately after trying a few brands, none of them worked. Definitely not his issue, it was an overall comfort issue of mine. Today for my annual checkup he found me a new contact lens that works, woohoo! read more

Everything was just ok. Dr. Burns was nice enough, but if I really had any concerns about my eye health, I'm not sure that she would have really listened to me. When I first arrived I observed her rushing the previous patient out of the office and not taking time to listen to their questions. The office itself is also not very welcoming. Things need a deep cleaning and maybe a fresh coat of paint? Feels very sterile. I got my contact prescription like I needed, but I won't be returning. read more

An eye exam increased from about $60 2 years ago to $172 today. I cannot afford that. I had to cancel my appt.

Having moved to Colorado, I needed to re-establish eye/health care in the area. I've long been purchasing contact lenses and glasses from Costco, so I figured I might as well get my eye examined there as well. Scheduling an appointment online was a breeze, checking in and seeing Dr. Olsen was an awesome experience! read more

Excellent experience - Dr. Olson (Rikard) was very professional, friendly, and best of all, thorough. Not only did he give an extensive eye exam but he also explained what he was looking for and what the results were. He gave opinions on what my best contacts options are (he agreed that my current regime was the best for me). I have no reservations about recommending Dr. Olson to anyone who is looking for an Optometrist. read more

I was a new patient when I saw Dr. Olson - to his office and to eye care, evaluation and correction, in general. What a "breath of fresh air" this appointment was. I was already anxious about needing some sort of correction - either glasses or contacts - and Dr. Olson made me feel so much more relaxed and comfortable. He was very patient, took his time with the exam and explained everything he was doing and finding. Ultimately, he took my wishes into consideration and we decided that contacts were my preference and he was so helpful and patient in explaining all the details of wearing and taking care of them. I was so impressed with him - as a Doctor of Optometry and as a person. Just as a bonus - since it was my first exam and my first set of contacts, I was told that I could come back to see him at no charge for up to a year after this exam. That was reassuring and made me feel like it would be "ok" if I needed to come back or ask any questions in the future. He made himself 100% available. Definitely recommend Dr. Olson and his practice!!(Also doesn't hurt that his office is located right inside the Costco store and that all supplies are offered right there.) read more

PROS: No Costco membership needed (and you can use your new prescription to buy glasses or contact lenses anywhere). Book an appointment online. Reasonable prices. Quality eye care. I was impressed with Dr. Rikard Olson's courtesy, competence, and professionalism when I last saw him about a year ago. When my 62-year-old friend...who hadn't had an eye exam in 10 years and had lost (and not replaced) a contact lens months ago...decided to get an updated prescription, I recommended Dr. Olson. She booked an appointment online. Her first words to me after the exam: "It's a WHOLE NEW WORLD!" She said that she didn't realize until after the appointment (she walked out wearing a free set of new contact lenses) how many wrinkles she had, how dirty her car and house were, or how lovely the Denver skyline looked. She validated my impressions of Dr. Olson, and I highly recommend him to anyone needing professional eyecare. read more

Dr. Olsen was super sweet, took his time and explained everything that he was doing and why. I haven't had an eye exam for many years and he exceeded my expectations. We will definitely come back and would recommend him! read more

We have been seeing Dr. Olson at Costco Optical for many years. He is always friendly, helpful, kind and thorough. We have been to other Opticians and Opthamologists over the years and the exam that we receive from Dr. Olson is over and above any other we have experienced. His office employs the most up to date equipment to make the exam easy and thorough...he also fully explains everything he does. We will definitely continue to see Dr. Olson for our annual eye exams! read more

Would recommend to anyone! Dr Olson & staff are very professional, knowledgeable, & personable.

My appointment with Dr. Olson went well or so I thought until I had my prescription filled and I could not see through my new glasses. I brought the glasses into the Costco optical dept. where they informed me that I had to get rechecked by Dr. Olson. Two weeks later I was able to get an appointment for a recheck where I .told the prescription is correct but the lenses were made wrong. Dr. Olson spoke with the optical department explaining the problem with the lenses. The optical dept. manager insisted the lenses were correctly made and would not send them back to have them redone. Then he said he could only give me a refund. Now I have no glasses and I am out the cost of the dr. exam and my insurance benefits that were applied to my 2 new sets of glasses and lenses! So, the doctor's instructions were not carried out by the optical department and as a customer I walked away very disappointment and upset having no recourse to solve the matter since the doctor and the optical department will not work together to resolve their different opinions. I seriously doubt I'll be given a refund for the exam and have my insurance benefits reinstated. read more

His expertise leaves you as a patient very comfortable in knowing that he has your best interest at heart. Great Dr, great guy! read more

This was perhaps the most thorough eye exam I've ever received, and best of all, the retina exam did not involve pupil dilation, but rather used a portable digital retinal camera--much faster and far more comfortable than the old-school way, of course. Dr. Olson was very friendly, professional and efficient. He also welcomed my questions and took the time to answer them without sounding rushed or bothered. Prices are are very affordable, even without vision insurance. My family and I will definitely return to Dr. Olson for future eyecare needs. read more
