Shockingly unprofessional. An eye exam with a contact lens fitting took nearly two hours. At most, 30 minutes of that time was spent being seen by Dr. Partnow. The remaining time was spent sitting in an exam room, without any updates about the delay. My insurance was billed for services that I didn't receive. I had to contact Candy, in billing, to request a refund for Optomap Laser Imaging that was never discussed with me, let alone provided during my initial visit. If I hadn't insisted on being sent an itemized invoice, I wouldn't have caught that I had been charged for services that were never performed. Unacceptable. During my exam, comments were made and anecdotes were shared that left me feeling unsettled and uneasy at this practice. I had to go back to Dr. Partnow's office two days after the original appointment to complete further testing and to pick up paperwork required for my job. I made sure to bring a colleague with me to that second meeting. Never again. read more

Run!!!!! This place is extremely overpriced and the old ladies that work here are miserable. Learn customer service. I made an appointment for glasses only and they charged me for glasses and contacts exam. I walked out paying over 800 for glasses. I called them today to order contacts and asked for 1 box. The receptionist was so rude and told me she couldn't order 1 month supply and I needed to order 12 months at a time. I will never return to this place. They should always ask if you want to take a photo of the back of your eye- they didn't ask this and charged me for it anyway after I didn't even need a prescription for contacts at the time. After showing my bill to another optometrist friend, they even said this is unethical. They will tell you, you will pay a little more for the better service, but the service was not better. I've had glasses for over 12 years, and this is the first time I've had to go to the office five times just to get the prescription right. The first appointment took about an hour. The second appointment was just to look for my glasses. I used them for three days and had a constant headache! On my third visit, I found out the prescription was wrong--the doctor had put too much "power" in it. I left the glasses there to be fixed and also got fitted for contacts. While waiting for the glasses, I tried the contacts, but they didn't work either. On my fourth visit, I went back for another pair of contacts. They handed me a plastic bag with the contacts inside and told me to try them at home. As soon as I put them in, I couldn't see a thing--and on top of that, they were expired! I waited three weeks for my glasses. I had to call to find out if they were ready, and by chance, they had arrived that same day. No one bothered to notify me. The glasses still don't work to this day. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! read more

I found Five Parks Vision as an authorized rep and it was in the neighborhood just west from my home. I worked with Bre who was more than helpful and super friendly! She not only helped me get my sunglass clip replaced but also gave me coupons for contact solution. She also helped me with solutions for what I could do in the interim when I wouldn't have my glasses while they were being fitted with the new clip. Read this with the other one-star reviews---it's amazing this guy Gary remains in business and somehow has a license to practice. Unprofessional to the point of uncomfortable, condescending, and way overpriced. He stood hovering over me while I was looking at frames and told me I'd be a fool to go anywhere else (his staff confided: I don't blame you for going somewhere else). I took his prescription to Bent Lens who re-examined me much more thoroughly and Gary's prescription was close but incorrect. I don't mind a weird doctor or weird person, but he was so clearly incapable that I felt the need to go see another doctor. He'll sure ask you lots of personal questions and mock your answers, focus on your job versus his exam, and awkwardly bring up COVID repeatedly and then say "we don't talk about COVID in this office." From the beginning, this place feels like home and wouldn't go anywhere else. Comfortable, clean, stylish, and inviting waiting and common areas. The staff is professional, attentive, and friendly. Dr. Gary is very personable and thoroughly explains what he is doing. He goes the extra mile to get your prescription right. I appreciated his patience when I had him repeat my options over for #1 or #2, then #1 or #2 for the next series. Again, he wanted me to feel comfortable and get the prescription right. Stevi is very experienced and had excellent taste. She knows right away what frames will fit and look best for you. Think of her as your own personal eyewear consultant. What a pro! Plenty selection of frames that are all quality brands and attractive styles. All reasonably priced and discounted with my VSP insurance which saved me considerably. There is no junk here. If your choice is blindness or this place, take blindness. The staff is very unhelpful - when I asked a question about the new procedure they wanted to charge me extra for, they wouldn't answer. I sat in the waiting room forever (well over 1/2 hour) waiting to go in which is even worse because the cell phone service is so poor you can't even read a text article on your phone. We are new to the area so we checked out Yelp (thanks Yelpers!) to see if there were any eye doctors in the area and we stumbled across Five Parks Vision and Eye Care. The lady on the phone was very helpful in making sure we had the right vision plans prior to our visit. I don't know if I've ever been to an eye doctor where I was laughing the entire time, but this visit was it. The Canadian and I had our appointment together and talking with Dr. Gary was not only very informative, he's freakin' hilarious! Between my husband and I, there was always something to chat and laugh about and it felt like we were visiting with an old friend. Funniness aside, they were all very professional, they have all the state of the art equipment and offer the optical nerve photo (forgot what it's called) so that you can compare the back of your eyeball year over year. He was very helpful in explaining in laymen terms what was going on with each of our eyeballs and what to watch for as far as eye conditions that could be affected by our health. They offer Tom Ford glasses and have all the contacts you could hope for. He even recommended better contacts that suited my eye needs (and are SUPER comfortable) and sent me a home with a couple pairs to try out. Great staff, great equipment, great experience. We have definitely found our eye doctor and we highly recommend them! PS. If you close your eyes (no pun intended) while you're talking with Dr. Gary, he sounds like Joe Rogan (swear!) lol read more

Dr Partnow is great and wonderful to work with; however his office staff yet again is very troublesome. They didn't bill my daughter's claim right then went back and rebilled it and didn't credit our account with the initial payment we provided then acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. They staff talks down to the patients and is super rude. I was going quit going to him last year and didn't and now I have to deal with this office and their incompetence yet again. I've been a patient of 5 Parks Vision since they opened and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gary and his staff. They are friendly, engaging and funny. This is one doctors visit I really enjoy. I love supporting local business and this place deserves our support. Easy to schedule (on the phone, online), clean bright office, super attentive and friendly staff (Steve, Veronica), all the latest equipment including a no dilation option, and a very knowledgeable doc. Dr Gary is so fun, but very professional...I've had some eye problems and I definitely trust Dr. Partnow. Best of all this little place has the most incredible collection of frames styles....Coach, Tom Ford, Kenneth Cole, Kate Spade, Nike, Ray Ban and my fav...Maui Jim. After a rather distasteful experience at another place, and a few years of avoidance, I bit the bullet and went here instead. The whole experience was fantastic. The office itself is welcoming and comfortable, Dr. Gary Partnow and his staff were wonderful and they have a great selection of frames! I never thought I would be excited to have a check up at the opticians but after my first experience here, I will never hesitate to go again or call to ask questions. I was also the patient who opted to go for the OPTOS ultra wide-field camera instead of the dilation exam. It was quick, painless and it was so cool to see what the inside of my eyes looked like! Dr. Partnow was very informative and talked me through the photos taken and explained other things about my eyes with enthusiasm. Dr. Partnow and his staff are amazing. I am actually excited to get an eye exam! They know me by name whenever I visit, genuinely care about me, my eyes and my style. I find exceptional value in service and quality, but please know you're going to Nordstrom not Walmart, so expect to pay a little more but I promise it's worth it. I am very happy with my experience at Five Parks Vision. The doctor took the time to understand what I wanted in both glasses and contacts, listened to what I had before, my likes and dislikes and made a recommendation based on that information. So far I am very happy with my new lenses, fit and vision is great. Lenses came in fairly quick. To me what separates them from other optometrist was the overall atmosphere in the office. I'll be honest with you, going to the doctor is never my favorite thing to do. It seems like most doctors are running behind or have dated offices that aren't exciting to wait in. I figured I would give Five Parks a try since I've driven by their conveniently located office a number of times. I called Five Parks and was greeted by a very friendly young lady named Dawn, who promptly answered my call and accommodated my needs with regards to appointment date and time! I walked into the office on the day of my appointment and was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful updated decor of Five Parks Vision and Eye Care. You can tell that great care was taken with every aspect of design and office flow, as this is one of the most beautiful doctors offices I've been in. When I met Dr. Gary, I knew I made the right decision in coming to this office. He wasn't rushed, he was very warm and endearing when I first met him. It didn't feel like I was at the doctor, it felt more like I was talking with an old friend that I had known for years. My entire eye exam was extremely comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Gary gave me a very thorough eye exam and and HE DIDN'T HAVE TO DILATE MY EYES! Yes, you read that right, his office is so up to date, that he has some of the newest technology that allows him to see into your eye without having to dilate it. This was honestly the best part. No more going to the eye doctor and walking out with those cumbersome shades on and everything is so blurry that you can't even see straight. We're talking no dilation exam guys. Best part of the whole thing! /rant Ordering my glasses was just as convenient as the first part of the visit. It didn't take long at all to get my new glasses (which look great btw). DO NOT GO HERE AND DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE!!! This guy needs his license pulled as he is the worst example of an Optometrist out there! Not only did he give me a terrible exam and wrong prescription of glasses, but he did the same thing to my 7 year old son!! Let me explain what will happen to you if you decide to see this piece of crap with details of my own experience... First, he'll greet you in the waiting area and will already up sell you on a needless exam that is NOT covered by insurance and will cost you out of pocket. Next, he'll rush you through the process and not take the proper time to examine you or your child. Then, he'll trash talk other eye doctors and make cheesy jokes about how he "cares about his patients", but still needs to make money. Finally, he'll push you off to his old, unfriendly sales lady who will want to charge you $600+ dollars for a pair of glasses and will keep telling you that they are "digital" or something stupid. I decided not to purchase their over priced glasses for my son and myself. Instead, I took our business elsewhere and paid a fraction of what this joke and his battle axe sales lady wanted...and yes, the ones I bought are "digital". However, when I received the new glasses, I put them on and thought I was seeing in a different dimension...the prescription Dr. Doofus gave me was completely wrong. When I went back to him and complained, he refused to re-examine me and treated us like garbage. After I took my son to be examined by a real eye doctor, sure enough they confirmed that Dr. Doofus gave him the wrong prescription too. I've been to several eye doctors numerous times. Every time I've been to the eye doctor it always seems like the same story. You show up you wait in the waiting room for a half hour or so. When you finally see the doctor there is very little conversation and you're out an hour and a half later or longer. I've always felt like an inconvenience. None of this happened. My first time in to the office I called to make an appointment expected it would be a week or so to get in. They got me in to the office 2 days later. They met me on a Saturday too which made it more convenient. I showed up about 5 mins late expecting to wait for a while. When I got there they were ready to go right away. They got me in right away with just a couple of signatures and no paperwork. Dr. Gary was my favorite doctor I've ever met. He was comical and professional. He got me in and out as fast as possible. As a person who has had contacts for "decades" Dr. Gary impressed me with the care, time spent and the education he provided during our appointment. The equipment is state of the art which validated my needed correction from a technical stand point as well as from his own professional experience. Spent $1000 dollars for contacts glasses and sunglasses and only left with a new frame with my old prescriptions after trying for several months to get the prescriptions right.
