My wife has a complex neurological condition that impacts the area of her brain that processes vision - My wife is also fully disabled and non-verbal. These issues have presented a huge obstacle for other eye care providers over the past 9 years - But not so for Dr Emily's team! Dr. Emily's team worked wonderfully with our limitations, and we came away from the appointment not only with a workable solution but feeling we had finally found a team willing to listen and accommodate my wife's needs and limitations. Dr. Baker is always upbeat and professional. She takes the time to make sure your vision is the best, answers questions, and has always given me trial contacts too! I drive to this particular location to have my eyes examined by Dr. Baker because it is worth the trip to me to have someone that genuinely cares about my vision. Dr. Baker is friendly and I never feel rushed during our appointments. Her staff is also incredible. Turn around time for appointments, questions, or lab/glasses orders is outstanding. Dr. Baker runs an extremely clean, and cute little clinic with a friendly vibe. Have seen her every year for the past 3 years and Highly recommend her as an Optomestrist. I have special health concerns and she has been able to meet my needs as a patient. Super knowledgeable! They also offer a special machine that takes pictures of your eye in place of dialation! Horrible service. Discovered after an eye exam that while they took our insurance they were not in network meaning we would pay triple what we would have if we had gone to an in network facility (there are 7 within 5 miles). On top of that the women at the desk made my wife feel as though our insurance was poor quality. All the while we should have gone somewhere else. When we called to complain we were informed it was most likely their fault and they would work on it for next time but it was right around lunch etc. and that's what most likely caused the error. No offer of refund or compensation of any kind. Do not go here. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE!! Dr Emily Baker is rude, unprofessional and unbelievably caustic. I was literally taken aback by her aggressive, combative and unpredictable behavior during my visit. Ms Baker pushed me to switch to daily contacts during my initial exam when I clearly stated that I was not interested. She ignored my request to renew a prescription for the re-usable brand I've relied on for 10 ten years, simply waving her hand behind at me while she walked away saying I will like these better. She hurried me into the next room where she forced me to place the new contacts on my eyes, and mockingly asked if I'd ever done this before when I hesitated!! I was trying to gather the words to make it clear that I did not want these contacts in my eyes but I was literally taken aback by her aggressive, combative and unpredictable behavior. Ms Baker then dropped a ton of samples into my lap and sent me on my way with a prescription for the dailies she made me to try against my will. The prescription was missing several fields. The daily disposable contacts she gave me do not work, they are too thin and slip out easily. The left lens tore off in my eye and got stuck behind my eye for almost 2 days. So after paying a $60 fee to get an exam and obtain a prescription for my contacts: -I am $60 poorer -I have no contacts -I have no prescription -I will forfeit my time and money rather than go back to Ms Baker ever again. read more

Had a great experience with Dr. Baker. I have a very bad astigmatism in one of my eyes that has given many optometrists trouble over the years. It is especially difficult for contact lenses. Dr. Baker and her staff were very patient and persistent in helping me find contacts that were comfortable for me. I'm so glad to have found such a great doctor. read more

Her office environment is pleasant and easily accessible via direct street access as well as inside access from the Broomfield Walmart directly across Summit Blvd from Flatirons Crossing Mall. Emily is very kind, and patient with you while she goes through all the details of your eyesight. She takes the time to make sure all of your questions and concerns are answered. Emily also is great at making sure you are happy with contacts (if you happen to get them) and that you are comfortable putting them in. Living in Boulder, I would usually come to this walmart for my eye check up, and I've been doing that for years. Since Dr. Baker has taken the office, I'm forced to go out of my way to Denver to get my eye check up. Don't go here. You'll pay more, and I'm not sure you'll have a good experience. When I did my eye check up, it was a substitute doctor, and the doctor wrote my prescription WRONG. I KNOW she did because I'm the sciences, and when I tried to buy contacts, and the assistant also said it was written wrong and I should come back for another check up. Taking time out of my student schedule, I went there again to have the prescription written right. Dr. Baker did check up again (which would be REQUIRED since the prescription is written wrong in the first place and you can't simply rewrite), and then CHARGED ME EXTRA $25 for "office visit fee." I had already paid over $90 for check-up. I called to have it refunded after learning from another office that I shouldn't have been charged, SINCE IT'S A DOCTOR'S FAULT. Dr. Baker responded saying I was charged because I "wanted cheaper contacts." I looked through my previous years of contact purchases and it's been the same contacts lenses, and if I had already paid the amount for an ACCURATE prescription, I shouldn't be charged when you mess up as a doctor and write the wrong prescription. Not to mention, I bought my eyeglasses there last year, and THEY LOST MY PRESCRIPTION by the time I picked up my eyeglasses. Dr. Baker hasn't taken the time to respond back to my phone. Honestly, I also found her unnecessarily rude on the phone. Her tone is unwelcoming and unwilling to deal with the challenges of her job. I'll never go back to this office again. Go the offices in Denver. They're about $20 cheaper for first timers, and $30 cheaper for returning patients. No need to compromise principles. read more
