I usually print out a receipt when gassing up. I noticed that a $1.00 charge has been added on my charge bill, which frequently either disappears after a day or has a $1.00 refund. One employee at the station told me that the same thing happens to her, with the charge appearing and then being quickly credited. My gut feeling is this looks like somebody inside Shell USA, or whoever provides their IT services, is running a clever scam to skim funds out of the corporation and then try to cover their tracks. If anybody in Shell USA reads this review, it might be worth looking into.

There are vending machines off to the side near the few parking spots. There are eight pumps, and the consoles are clean and have a modern interface. No TVs at this location, but who needs a TV for like 2 minutes of fueling time? This being one of the cheaper gas stations in the area, and you get 3 cents off with a Fuel Rewards card.

For those that use 93 octane supreme, they have triple pumps here. These pumps are especially…read moreuseful for motorcycles that require supreme, since motorcycles have such small gas tanks. For those that do not know... when all grades of gas are used by a single pump, there will be some mixing of gas. If the person before you used, regular 87 octane, then when you start pumping, you will get some 87 octane first. I'm not exactly sure how much, but I can image it's at about 1/4 gallon. If you require 93 octane (usually higher end cars like Lexus, BMW, Audi...), you can get knocking with too much 87 octane. For a car this is never a problem if you are filling up the tank to full. But if you have a small motorcycle tank or you are only filling your already empty tank a very little, you may end up putting in a significant percent of 87 octane when using a single pump. Now if you have a Lexus and you are only putting in $2 of gas, in an empty tank, then maybe you have other issues you have to deal with. If I was a motorcyclist requiring 93 or if I was someone that doesn't want any 87 octane, I would use the triple pumps that this station has.

It's like right in what I would call "old towne" Laytonsville (though I'm not really certain that's a thing). But yes, gas prices are really good here, and the pumps are always all working. The card chip reader is working as well. The gas station is clean. There's a couple of entrances and exits. What more can you want in a gas station really? Cheap, convenient, clean, and it's never usually too too busy.
