This place has a storied history and after reading about it, we decided to give it a try. The story is worth googling. Our group tried three items- The Ollie burger, the cod sandwich, the rib tips (it was at the end of the day and the full rack wasn't available) and the fries. If healthy is what you are looking for, turn around. But the Ollie burger with the special Ollie's sauce was messy, greasy goodness. Three of our group ate them and all three of us will be back for another. Tasty with a lot of meat for the price. And the fries were the same- and should be eaten while they're hot. Greasy, seasoned well & tasty! The cod sandwich was pretty lame. It was a fried piece of cod stuck between two pieces of wheat bread. And the rib tips were a bit on the fatty side. There's only outdoor seating and you will not be greeted by friendly staff, so don't expect that. But if a good burger and fries are on your mind (or stomach), this would be a great place to go. We took our meal just a couple of minutes away and ate on the deck at Washington Park.

The burgers are always amazing. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Great place to stop if want fresh and in a hurry. Did I forget to talk about the ribs. Mmmmmm

It's about a 3 1/2. I gave It a 4 because of the price. I had the burger, BBQ tips, collard greens, green beans, and mac and cheese. The burger was really good, very flavorful. My best way to describe it is a really good sub sandwich (You know how you get all the good flavors). My only knock on the burger would be the meat that is used. I guess to keep the price down you have to cut costs somewhere. The tips were pretty good didn't really standout for me. The side were bland nothing good there...i have been to a lot of places that don't put enough effort into the sides.. I need the sides to get better. If this place wasn't do cheap I would give it 3stars. So good pricing has saved the day. If I had to do this item by item it would be Burger 4stars Tips 3stars Sides 2 1/2 Like I said it's only ranted 4stars because I can't give them a 3 1/2 and the price is set at such a good point, I have to put them on the other side of 3 1/2.

Ollie actually runs the trolley. Good food, great atmosphere and who knows you may meet some celebrities, athletes or even the President.

Everything is seasoned perfectly, cooked right, and served hot. The fried fish was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, the greens tasted like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen, and the candied yams were sweet and done just right. It's the kind of plate that reminds you why Southern cooking is so special. But what really stood out to me wasn't just the food. It was the customer service. In most places, you either get incredible food with average service, or great service with food that's just okay. Southern Grace somehow manages to deliver both at a very high level. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with genuine kindness and respect. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and you can tell they actually care about the experience they're giving their customers. I have to make a special mention to one of the team members LaDon for his exceptional professionalism. That kind of consistency between food quality and customer service is rare. It makes the entire experience feel personal rather than transactional. If you're looking for authentic Southern food paired with top-tier hospitality, Southern Grace is absolutely worth the visit. Places like this remind you what real customer service is supposed to feel like.

Where to start?…read more... Came here for dinner expecting a lovely sit-down restaurant and was sorely disappointed. Imagine getting all dolled up to dine at the newest soul food restaurant in town then realizing you stepped into a souped-up chicken/fish spot. I gave it 3 stars simply for the food as the experience was a solid one. Upon arrival, there was no greeting and so we just found a table. A small group of folks were sitting at the tables near the front door waiting for their takeout. Honestly, that's what this place should be. A takeout joint with tables for those who want to eat their food there. Can you imagine ordering food to dine in and being presented with a set of takeout, cheaply-made plastic cutlery? Yep, that's what we were offered. I had to ask an employee walking by if they had "real" cutlery and he went to the back to grab us a set. The owner was working but unlike a fine dining establishment, did not come over to greet us, the only dine-in customers. That would have went a long way had she done that. The sad part is the food was actually pretty good (tasty yams, mac/cheese, fried whiting, and peach cobbler). However, the cabbage was under-seasoned. Take my advice and order your food to go until the training, customer service, and adequate staffing is present. You won't be disappointed if you do that.

Every visit feels like a treat, but lately they've taken things up a notch with a lineup of signature cocktails. I tried the espresso martini, and it was outstanding--smooth, balanced, and the perfect complement to the bold, smoky flavors coming out of the kitchen. As for the food, it's consistently excellent. The dry rub wings are my go-to: perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and flavor, and even better when paired with their bama white sauce. If you're leaning sandwich, you can't go wrong with a pulled pork or pulled chicken sammy topped with their Carolina gold sauce--it's tangy, slightly sweet, and completely addictive. And the fries? Thick-cut, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside--exactly what great fries should be. Beyond the food and drinks, Lucius Q really shines as a place to gather. They have a fantastic event space that comfortably holds around 50 people--perfect for parties or private events. It's also one of the rare downtown spots with plenty of TVs, making it a great place to catch a game. Add in live music most Fridays and a great outdoor patio for those perfect Cincinnati weather days, and it's easy to see why this place is always buzzing. Lucius Q is one of those spots I simply can't walk past without slowing down and breathing it in. Whether you're a Pendleton regular or just passing through downtown Cincinnati, it's a must-visit that delivers every single time.

The smothered pork chops were so tender they were falling apart with a fork, covered in rich, flavorful gravy that had me wanting to lick the plate. The catfish was fried to perfection -- crispy on the outside, flaky and seasoned just right on the inside. Now let's talk sides... because they deserve their own moment The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and baked just right. The green beans had that slow-cooked, seasoned flavor you just can't fake.
