We love shopping here as we can always find great deals on items we use around the house. Crazy good deals to be found for sure. We went today, 12/27/25 at approximately 1:30pm. We found exactly what we needed, and went to the checkout so we could make our purchase, and also return an item my Fiancé had purchased just before Christmas that ended up not working for her needs. The lady at checkout was rude, and that is putting it lightly. Negative in all aspects of the transaction, obviously not wanting to be a helpful employee. The name in the receipt was Denise, not sure if they share registers, but regardless, this lady could use a little bit of training in regard to her customer service. We've always been treated kindly here, but today we were left dumbfounded by this employees rudeness. Hopefully management checks these reviews as her behavior could chase customers away. read more

I do NOT recommend to go near bathrooms, this place is good for cheap prizes BUT this is RIDICULOUS!! Hire a cleaning service for your bathrooms, this is disgusting. Needs to be taken care of. read more

Havent been here in 5 months and what a shock. The store is dirty , smelly and unorganized. some shelfs empty like there going out of business. ONe cashier for entire store and people doing returns and buying cartfulls of items so the wait is 20 min at best. HIt any other ollie's but this dump!!! read more

Without a doubt, this store has great prices. I suppose all Ollie's do...but seriously today I questioned whether I want to continue to shop at this particular store. It was freezing...I mean FREEZING in the store and that is cruel to their employees. It was only 40 degrees outside and probably colder inside. I had on a winter coat and my hands were painful. If a store can't turn on the heat for it's employees and customers, they don't care. That's just not right. read more

i shop here on a weekly basis and have always dealt with pretty friendly employees. Today however there was a lady working, cant tell you her name because she had no name tag. an elderly woman had lost her receipt to return something and had an email from corporate with a copy of it. This employee was beyond rude to her, talked to her loud, and was very demeaning. This customer never once got loud, was only explaining where the receipt came from. Then, my cashier walked over to get assistance because i was making a large purchase that required someone bringing it up front, and again, this employee was just loud and disrespectful to her in front of everyone. i made sure i let my mouth be heard when i voiced how rude she was. This is why i do not work for anybody..i would have lost my job this day. She needs to be fired read more

I like going to this Ollie's for a lot of reasons. I am glad my wife took me here the first time about 4 years ago. They have a wide variety of goods of great quality and fantastic prices. They've got flooring, books, food, gardening equipment, kitchen equipment and house care materials and tools - and MORE! The staff is upbeat and welcoming. I appreciate the bright atmosphere here even when things get busy and they can get busy. There is plenty of parking and easy in and easy out from the three directions from the parking lot. The restrooms are kept clean and neat. The only drawback I see is the location of the first register in relation to the front door. When leaving you need to kind of double back to get out. Other than that this is a reasonably priced location with great goods for sale. read more

Wow, this place is huge! I came here on the recommendation of a friend who said they had yarn on sale. It took me awhile to find that display even after two different employees pointed in the right direction. There is just so much to look at and I had never been here before so I wasn't familiar with the layout. Along the way I kept getting distracted looking at other categories-- lotions, coffees, craft items, stationery items, you name it. I think I would probably be doing some Christmas shopping in here if I lived close. I did finally find that yarn. Some of it wasn't all that cheap compared to other stores. One brand that Meijer sells for $3.99 Ollie's had for $2.99, not much of a drop in price. But there were a couple of other yarns that would be $8 to $10 in the craft stores like Jo-Ann's and Michaels and they were only $1.99 to $2.99 so that balanced it out. When most of what you knit and crochet gets donated you have to save money wherever you can. I'm glad I got referred to Ollie's and had the fun of walking around looking at everything. I might try to go back one more time because I was on a bit of a time limit and would like to take a more leisurely look next time. If you like stores like Big Lots and Dollar Tree you'll probably love Ollie's! read more

Customer Beware!!!! I wanted some items like spices,and books for my granddaughter,and orange marmalade. On 6/20/2020 at 10:11am, I checked out on register 01 with a cashier who was very rude and short with the customer in front of me and with me as well. I was in a hurry so I didn't really pay attention,I should have! I got home and discovered the cashier had charged me 42.57$ for a 24 oz jar of orange marmalade! The marmalade had a price tag of 2.47$ I called the store and the same cashier answered the phone,she told me for a refund I would have to come back, she was still rude and short with me. I got there and asked for a manager. A lady came who was not nice and was also rude. I finally said you could at least apologize. She said after 20 minutes,you didn't give me a chance too. She was very unpleasant,I mentioned the scanner law and she did not reply. During the refund the cashier said the scan was an error and she commented, Gee I wonder how many others were charged this. The manager gave her a dirtylook and didn't say anything. How many others are being overcharged like this at Ollie's? I won't go back and I recommend people be very careful when they go in there. I wish I had listened to people sooner about Ollie's. This place is GREAT!!!! My daughter is now 4 and there is no better place to find books and DVD's at reasonable prices. There seemed to be a little bit of everything there, and I plan on going back for their 8'x6' vinyl flooring to put under my washer and dryer in the basement. I think it was $19.99. Beats having my clean clothes hit the dirty floor. Although the store is a little cramped because of everything they stock, I will definitely keep going back there. Cashiers were very friendly also, which is hard to find these days. read more

This is the worst ollies I have ever been to. I horrible staff, this was also a dirtier than most ollies as well. I was in line when the cashier decided to tell me she was going on break and turned her light off and left. Myself and the man in line behind us were left standing for a few minutes before another cashier walked up. By that time my wife and I put down our book and decided to leave without purchasing anything. read more

This place is horrible! We went to get a few things and then got in line thinking it would be an in and out experience. Umm no...the cashier was crabby, and didn't know how to do refunds. Ever since they opened I've been going here. I started off at the other location on Telegraph Rd, Downriver since at the time it was closer to where I was living and fell in-love with this place. Now I'm constantly going to this location on Ford Rd, Westland. As soon as I walk in, my son and I head straight for their book section which are both are favorites! They have a nice selection of children books for inexpensive prices compared elsewhere. Some books are like treasure hunts where you'll only find one of the kind, but we don't mind that. The only thing you have to watch for are some items may be damaged. Usually items of such are marked down further which is a huge plus, but others are still at their bargain price. Also, when using their store coupon, you cannot combine it with further marked down items (even if the explanation of the marking is due to it being the last one) which I find very odd, since it is a bargain outlet. Overall, I love this place and hope they will eventually change their coupon policy. read more
