I feel bad leaving such a low rating for a small business, but this store did not have very good selection, very few books are recent or popular, and the store itself is quite outdated. I may have left it at that but the cashier was unfriendly and cranky. read more

Cute little store with very friendly owners! I have brought my mother in law here a few times to pick up some books. She likes general fiction novels, that kind of feel like they border on romance novels, and she always finds stuff that she wants to read. read more

Cozy used books store. I ventured here during one of my day breaks. Sometimes you just need a little break from the day to day. There are multiple genres of books here. The best sellers section has books that are not quite the current best sellers , but probably were in the past. I didn't recognize a whole lot of them. There are a lot of romance/fiction books that dominated the store. There were also nonfiction/biographies, sci-fi, horror, westerners, and small sections of self-help books. Small section of cook books, reference books, "collectibles". The whole back wall is dedicated to children and young adult books. I wish there were more culture studies books, but that's just my personal preference. It is pricey for a used book store. For example, I purchased a women studies/culture book for $8. I don't think it should have been more than $5/$6. When I checked on amazon, a brand new, newer edition of the book was $9. I still bought the book here anyways to support used bookstores, but I'm not used to these steep prices in a used book store. Not my favorite used book store, but fun to browse anyways. read more

I've noticed from the other reviews that the people saying this bookstore has high prices compare them to Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. I found the prices to be fair. The store is on the smaller side, but there is a good variety. This place is a used bookstore with many paperbacks, but I also found a few hardcovers I wanted there. There is a good variety of sections, but not everyone will see every section well stocked to their liking. It is close to the highway and has easy parking. I make a quick stop whenever I'm traveling in the area and see if they have anything new. Not a place for antiquarian, vintage, or first editions but appears to be a popular place for people to trade books. read more

Cheaper than new, I still find they skew more expensive for a used book store, as far as price with trade ins go. They do send out periodic mailers for deals and have a stamp card but unless you are a regular they are useless. Decent selection, nicely organized shelves, the staff seems quite friendly and the hours are pretty good. It is just lacking a homey feel I like in a used book store. Overall if I am in the area I swing in but I do not go out of my way to make a special trip. read more

Oh the days of abundant used and locally owned bookstores are seem to be so far away. My local favorite was the little bookstore, Books Abound in Downtown Farmington. When they closed I yearned for a used bookstore somewhere in the Farmington/F. Hills/Novi area that I would pop into without having to drive to Detroit/Ferndale/Oak Park area. I randomly saw this bookstore one day when I was driving down Grand River. Imagine my joy! A small used bookstore within 3 minutes of my house! I've been here on a few occasions, but I must say it hasn't become a go-to location when I want to cruise a bookstore. The pricing seems fair-ish for a used bookstore and the trade-in program seems pretty fair. I was never offered a punchcard like Liz was and I had to wait till my second visit to even be offered to be entered into the database to get emails about specials/discounts/happenings at the store. I do get the clear feeling that they do highly value the regulars that visit the store but not always welcome newbies right away. I've seen employees chat it away with a regular for 30 minutes while I search and I barely get acknowledged beyond a hello. But, I still have found some decent reads here for value prices and I have been able to unload some un-loved books here for store credit, so I won't complain too much. If you're a fan of mystery/romance/thiller trade paperbacks, you may find some great finds as it seems they have huge selections of these genres. They're literature section is smaller than expected and they do have a somewhat decent selection of 'recent' releases (as long as the term recent is up for interpretation). This place may be good to stop by and search and poke around but I don't recommend going in with a specific item in mind unless they wishlisted it for you or you have called ahead. read more

There are two things that have made this used bookstore one of my favorites to visit. One is that I have a sensitive sense of smell and do not enjoy musty or dusty smelling bookstores. Be reassured my friends, this store is clean and dust free. Also, very well organized considering the wealth of books inside. The second reason I like it here is my fondness for the paranormal romance and urban fantasy genres which apparently other customers here share as well. Luckily, these sorts of books turn up on the front racks every time I stop in. The staff is always so nice to me, I always receive fantastic service and I think I receive a good value for my trade ins as well. They just had a great sale which I think is something to keep an eye out for if you really want to up your savings. read more

Love this store. Mary, the owner, and her knowledgeable "sidekick" Dawna, are the best. Very helpful about authors, genre, helping with just about anything you can think of. Makes you feel as if you could pull up a rocking chair and spend the day reading and chatting. They have a wonderful computer program that lets them, and you, know if you've already read a title. It's nice to order before sale dates and know you'll get your book then as well as your wish list. Cannot say enough good things about this store. Have recommended to family and friends to go in and visit. They love it too !!!! read more

Unfortunately my review is only related to the accuracy of the store hours. Twice now I've attempted to visit this store and both times they were not open despite the hours stated on their door and their website stating that they open at 10:00 am. Both times I waited at least ten minutes and both times no employees opened the store. read more

Best Bookstore Ever!!!! Read it Again Books has new,usedaudio and children's books in a friendly atmosphere. Grand trade in policy, For customers who wish to there ia a customer account available with a "wish list" for books not in store when one is there, e-maiol or phone messages when aa wished for book arrives there,and titles purchased listed to prevent duplicate purchases. I LOVE this bookstore and have been getting books from here for more than 12 years! I've lived in Northville, Lansing, and Ann Arbor over the years and still find it worth the drive. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the store is clean and well organized. The best feature, in my opinion, is that their inventory is computerized so if you want to know if they have a book you can simply ask rather than search the shelves for it. This also allows them to put a computer tag on a title for you. I've been looking for some out-of-print books for years and I can't tell you how nice it is to get a call from Read-it-again telling me that a book I have been searching for has just come in! Another great thing is their low prices, especially if you have trade-in credits. As a sci-fi/fantasy fan, I can always find a book that I am missing from my library or that I've been wanting to read. They also have a great selection of kids books which is great for getting gifts for my 7 nephews and neices! Additionally, they can order new books for you so it's a one-stop book shop! This is a great used book store and certainly the only book store in the area I go to. The staff is incredibly friendly and engaging. If you request a book, they will call you to let you know that it's come in. There's a great system in which they keep you up to date with current promotions, sales, and other events at the store. The books are well organized considering the smaller size of the store and the prices can't be beat. Considering there's a serious lack of book stores in Novi, even more so now that the Borders at Town Center is gone, Read It Again Books is a real gem to the avid reader. read more
