We recently stopped in while we were on a date since we love gaming and for a small shop in Ann Arbor, the selection was phenomenal. We were impressed and found a lot of games that we were interested in. Unfortunately, when you have little kids the gaming time can be a few and far in between especially when other adult adults are also busy. I'm so glad that we have this local gem so that when we are in a less busy season we can invest in some really fun stuff. They have lots of DND material. My kids really like the game Everdell and there were lots of expansions and supportive materials for the game. As you can expect, it's pretty pricey. I'm surprised there are still able to keep their doors open with places like Amazon. If you're looking for any kind of game or suggestion, I would suggest stopping in because everyone seems very knowledgeable. They have lots of comic books and trading card type games, party games, stuffed animals, and pretty much every kind of niche item a gamer could want. Even if you weren't a gamer, it's worth a trip downtown to check everything out. We will definitely be back.

Great for people who like that stuff. Then there is a part with some new and vintage toys, comics and other types of collectibles. I consigned over 3000 britians toy soldiers with this place and did not appreciate the…read moredisrespectful treatment of my inherited collection. The owner did return the collection only to be thrown into bags and boxes like trash. All of them that were in the original boxes were returned in bags,now the value is greatly depreciated. It was bad from the start,first we were not properly informed of the auction or given the chance to see the display,which was horribly thrown into piles for auctioning. I expressed my concerns and the owner had his goons buy out the auction,which is illegal to do I'm sure! They did not even display all of the collection,he said they were broken or damaged! We have pictures of how they left my home in the owners care,when we finally picked them up there are over 1500 pieces broken and some unfixable! My grandfather collected these for over 70 years to be thrown around like nothing,he knew the sentimental value as well as the dollar value! I was consigning this collection to save my grandfather's family home and now this experience has left me with half the collection good and half broken due to their negligence and disrespectful business ethics.worst experience I've ever seen. I'm contacting everyone I can to make sure this does not happen to anyone else.​

I love to purchase the shelves and find something new, although I found the layout slightly confusing, and I found various books and multiple locations. The little tags that talk about unique aspects of the book are a really nice touch. I did find it to be slightly biased politically, but I'm not sure what you can expect in downtown Ann Arbor. They did have a beautiful special version of a book that my best friend from Australia loves, so I was able to pick up that copy. I can't wait to send it to her. When I told her about it, she cried. The book is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much Literati for stocking such lovely products! Sidenote - this bookstore used to have delicious oat milk, lattes and unfortunately, they do not the café upstairs anymore. I do like that they got rid of all the tables where people would sit for hours on their computer computers. Now there is more room for books and I enjoy their selection of YA, cookbooks, and other genres. This is the same bookstore. We brought our Canadian friends too to browse, and it was very fun also. I love visiting bookstores. The overwhelming excitement as I see stacks and rows of books to skim, feel, and to purchase never cease to amaze me. There's an upstairs and a downstairs! There are events posted on the website. Unfortunately there wasn't an event this week, but I was so happy that I drove to downtown for desserts and found this place serendipitously. I did have it bookmarked but I wasn't planning on visiting a bookstore that evening. Service was amazing. Everything was organized. I never walk out of a bookstore empty handed.
