A Mediterranean inspired restaurant with Maza & tapas. Our first time here, so ordered a random selection of items. Some upon recommendation of staff. Saganaki (pan grilled cheese with honey and mint). Musakhan rolls (chicken, onion, sumac). Croquettes (chicken, Calabrian chili, manchego). Mix & Match kabab - Kafta (minced lamb, herbs & spices) & pork tenderloin. Tzatziki (yogurt, cucumber, mint). Also came out a basket of pita with a trio of dips. I believe that was part of the tzatziki order. The winner was the musakhan - the meat was so tender and marinated deliciously. Definitely need to purchase dips for the tapas. The cocktails were on point- I didn't get a picture of the menu, so don't remember the names of the drinks. They do note a daily happy hour 3-5. When you click on that menu it says 3-6, so not sure ending hour. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. If you haven't been worth a try.

Musakhan Rolls

My BFF and I tried Olives and Agave and so glad we did. We started off with the musakhan rolls with the tzatziki dip. They brought us a basket of pita slices and a trio of dips, which included harissa, non-dairy yogurt, and cilantro. The rolls were excellent. They had great flavor with the chicken, onions and sumac. The Taziki was perfect for dipping them in. We will definitely order these again. We each ordered the mix and match kebabs. I ordered the chicken and lamb kofta, and my BF ordered the lamb kofta and pork. The chicken and the pork were cooked perfectly and were moist. You could tell that they had been marinated. We both loved our choices and would order these again. The inside of the restaurant is decorated very nicely. It felt clean and crisp. They had Middle Eastern music playing. They did turn the lights down in the evening. Lights were a little too low as my BF couldn't see the menu any longer. Our waitress, who I think was Riley, was so nice and friendly and knowledgeable. She was extremely patient with our many questions. We are looking forward to coming back and trying other menu items, which do look delicious.

We were seated inside at our choice in a spacious dining room behind a full bar. Service staff is well versed on the food and menu. The food is so delicious and the spreads like Baba Ganoush are the perfect starter with warm pita. The kabobs are perfectly cooked over flame and meat is herb marinated. So good! Bring friends because it's fun to share bites of these dishes. Try it, you'll love it!

This is the chicken kebab which was delicious.

I was very impressed with the food and the service. Everything was super tasty. I had the chicken kebab which, olives, and freekah. All was amazing. I really enjoyed the music, the atmosphere and the positive energy of the restaurant. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a flavorful evening with a delightfully savory twist. Their use of spices is truly a great balance with the natural flavors of the food.

We ordered the dip trio, croquettes, fried cheese, and chicken kabobs. It was all absolutely delicious.

We ordered the dip trio, croquettes, fried cheese, and chicken kabobs. It was all absolutely delicious. Our server was wonderful! The setting is a little piece of the Mediterranean in Montgomery village. Definitely a must try!

My sandwich was fresh, colorful, and came on a toasted ciabatta roll. The couscous has a beautiful color, and just the right amount of spice to keep it interesting. I paid $13.15 before tax and tip. The service was good even though they were busy.

Disappointing Experience from a Restaurant I Normally Love…read more I normally love Mendocino Farms in Santa Rosa, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. My mom is currently hospitalized and going through a very serious health crisis. She hasn't had much of an appetite, but the one thing she really wanted was the Lemon Chicken & Farro Soup from Mendocino Farms. Her best friend and daughter were kind enough to pick up an order for us, and we were all looking forward to giving my mom something she was actually excited to eat. Unfortunately, the soup was a huge disappointment. There was virtually no chicken and no farro. It was essentially a container of broth. My mom was so upset, and while I realize it's just soup, when someone is going through something so difficult and has very little appetite, those small comforts mean so much. I also ordered my usual Not So Fried Chicken sandwich, which was just okay. Normally, it's crunchy, flavorful, and delicious, but this time it really fell short. I'm not sure if the difference was because we ordered takeout rather than dining in, but the quality was noticeably different from what I've come to expect. To be fair, I did call the restaurant to express my disappointment, and they refunded the soup portion of our order to our friend's bill. I appreciate that they acknowledged the issue and made that gesture. I'm not writing this review to bash the restaurant, because I've genuinely enjoyed so many meals here. I'm sharing it because consistency matters, especially when customers are paying for food they've come to know and love. I know the restaurant had no way of knowing what my mom was going through, but this particular order meant a lot to our family. I just wish it had been prepared with the same care and quality we've experienced in the past. I hope this was simply an off day, because I really do love Mendocino Farms and would hate for this to become the norm.

I came here to try their breakfast sandwich, which definitely did not disappoint. I also took home a couple of desserts for later! The service here is really great! The person who helped us when we arrived gave us some great suggestions! I really like the seating here and it feels nice and spacious. The art on the walls adds a nice touch as well! The breakfast sandwich has fried eggs and white cheddar cheese on an English Muffin. First I love the way they fry the eggs. Crispy, but still with a runny yoke. The cheese is melted nicely into this really yummy English muffin that was toasted really nicely. I also added bacon and avocado, which was a delicious touch. It's a very rich, fatty sandwich, so I asked for some hot sauce plus it's served with a side of pickles which helps to cut the richness as well. I took a few desserts home to try later, and I'm glad I did! The gluten free carrot cake is excellent. Very buttery and the texture is amazing. Not very sweet, but that may be what some people like. The gluten free lemon cheesecake had a great flavor and is dense like a NY style cheesecake. Again, also not very sweet, but delicious nonetheless. The Flan was a 10/10 in flavor and sweetness, but a 6/10 in texture. A little too dense for my liking. Overall, I love this place and will be back soon!

Zoftig has expanded into full-blown Choose Your Own Adventure territory: Build Your Own salads, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls, plus a gluten-free dessert lineup that practically begs you to pretend you're being healthy right up until the very end. I went with the Thai yellow curry over brown rice with chicken, which was the kind of meal that makes you feel like a responsible adult who has their life together. It was delicious! My dining companion's Ahi Poke bowl was equally impressive, and the roasted sweet potato salad was so good it briefly made me question my life choices up to that point. The chicken -- whether in a salad or a bowl -- was tender, flavorful, and absolutely not what I expected from a place with this many kale options. A word to the wise: show up at noon and you will be humbled. This spot is enormously popular with locals and the lunch-break crowd, and the line will remind you that good food attracts a crowd whether you like it or not. Fortunately, the staff is genuinely warm, happy to make recommendations, and will answer your menu questions without making you feel like you're holding up the line -- even when you absolutely are. Needless to say, it won't be another few years before I'm back. Zoftig has officially earned a permanent spot in the rotation.

All of the menu items we tried are delicious, and the new poolside outdoor patio that opened earlier this week is beautiful. One of the nicest covid-friendly outdoor eating areas in SR, with nice decor/furniture and plenty of overhead heaters. Once the word gets out, this place is going to be packed. On a related note: I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for years. It's always been sort of a funky dive and the facility fell into major disrepair, but the Flamingo's new owner is doing a really nice job with the renovation so far. Night and day. The pool area, lobby and restaurant have been completed and are really well done (MASSIVE improvement). Hopefully the guest rooms receive the same level of improvement, because they haven't changed yet. If so, they will have done a tremendous job restoring this property. You call them upon arrival and they will bring it out to your car which is awesome. Food was ready when we arrived, fantastic! We ordered the 1/2 bucket with umami fries, side of mac n' cheese, and lots of sauces. The meal comes with pickled veggies, slaw, and 4 Hawaiian rolls with nori butter. It's always disappointing to get your order home from anywhere and find a problem, so spoiler alert that impacts the experience for me. I ordered the fries extra crispy and not only did they come soggy as all get out but they also were lacking the umami salt that's supposed to make them special. Everything else was correct but the fries were a disappointment right out the gate. I seasoned them from my spice rack and popped them under the broiler to crisp up. This helped but if they come out of the fryer not crispy the broiler only does so much. Pickled veggies are good. I always love a pickled carrot. The slaw didn't have much flavor I could discern but I added one of the hot sauces on it and it was tasty. The star of the show, the chicken, was ok. I LOVE fried chicken and eat more of it than I probably should, lol. It was VERY crispy almost too crispy (maybe the chicken was cooked well done instead of my fries?). Since it was so crispy this made the chicken dry. Overall, slightly better than meh but not much. Maybe this isn't a meal that translates to go? If we try it again it'll be in person, even though we are literally only 6 miles away so it's not like it traveled far before we got down on it. Glad we tried it out finally but definitely feeling sad it didn't leave me happier for having checked them out. I'd be remiss if I didn't express how sad I am with how disappointing this meal was overall. Fried chicken usually brings me so much joy alas not today. Oh well I guess. I had higher hopes with all the 4 and 5 star reviews. Maybe we got a bad order but this wasn't a good first showing to make me want to come back and try again. So much sadness.

It's a delicious way to start the meal. I ordered the same dish the last two times I came in and that is their roasted salmon. The Flavors on this dish are insane to me. The salmon is cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The couscous with almonds, raisins and arugula plus the Tzatiki sauce gives it a light, Mediterranean feel. The real star here is a pomegranate glaze over the dish that is tart, sweet and brings all the flavors together so well. My wife order their Four Cheese Lasagnettes, which she loved.
