Me and my girlfriend went to Oliver's and from the food to the great hospitality I felt taken care of the moment we walked in the door. The ambiance is warm and welcoming making everyone feel like royalty. I am definitely coming back

Came to Oliver's solo for a 5 course menu tasting for $150 and an extra 150 if you wanted wine pairing and this is on the lower spectrum. Everything was delicious and I like the fact that they set each course down and explained what ingredients were in the dish you were about to consume. Would definitely come back to try the regular menu great atmosphere great vibe.

Really wanted to love it, but a little underwhelming for the price. This restaurant is in Buffalo, not Paris,NYC or Milan. As you can see from the menu it's a bit overpriced. I did have a pretty amazing drink, a Cynar Swizzle with a ton of flavor. We had a loaf of spinach bread which was crispy and delicious. I had the butter poached lobster which was little bit chewy and overcooked with a side of scallops (3) which were very small. My wife did enjoy her filet though. Our waiter Joe W was very pleasant and helpful. I give it an overall 4 stars because of the drink, spinach bread and Filet. The overall atmosphere was pleasant.

As Oliver's catered our wedding two years ago, we decided to celebrate 2 years by going to Oliver's. Let me get it out of the way that I HATE the valet parking experience. I dread coming here because of the valet situation, especially when you have to wait ages for your car when you can literally just walk to the car, along with having the tip for something we could do more conveniently. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, lets just say they we had an amazing time. The staff was wonderful, our steak and drinks were perfect, and there is nothing I could complain about (besides the parking). I would highly recommend coming here for a nice night out. There are a lot of restaurants in Buffalo with overrated and overpriced restaurants, and even though Oliver's isn't cheap, everything you pay is highly worth it. Keep up the good work, Oliver's!

I came here to celebrate my birthday and boy it did not disappoint! Upon arrival for our reservations we were offered to enjoy a drink at the bar. The bar was so beautiful that I couldn't resist. I ordered an espresso martini, it was perfect. The toasted nuts on the bar were delicious and addicting, I had to stop eating them to save room for our meal. The overall design of the restaurant feels so elevated that you don't realize it's located next to two gas stations. Our server Fred was fantastic. Throughout our entire experience he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding the menu. We were served with the complementary amuse bouche, it was refreshing and delicious. Next we ordered the beef tartare, roasted cauliflower, confit Spanish octopus and the Parker house loaf. Fred was kind enough to serve us the egg of decadence (on him) as well. Everything was absolutely delightful. The beef tartare was out of this world. The egg of decadence was unlike anything we've ever had before and was truly delectable. The Spanish octopus was a tad rubbery but even with that being said I would still order it again. For dinner I ordered the prime filet mignon with an add on order of seared scallops. My cousin ordered the prime filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini. My husband ordered the C.A.B Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was divine. We could not have been any happier with our entrees. Fred's recommendations were excellent! For desserts I ordered the creme brûlée (which I've been thinking about daily ever since). My cousin ordered the carrot cake and my husband got the chocolate pave. Each dessert was fantastic! If you have not been to Oliver's yet I would highly, highly recommend them. The staff is professional and knowledgeable, the ambiance is classy while still being modern. We absolutely loved our entire experience and will be returning!!

My husband I came for dinner this evening. I had the filet and he had the ribeye. We cannot say enough about our experience. Service was top notch. The food was absolutely delicious from the bread, sides and main dish. I believe our waiters name was Carl. He is the best at what he does. Kudos to the chef and everyone else on the staff. Can't wait to return. Thank you!

First, the service was incredible! Kai (or Kyle? Sorry!) was exceptionally attentive. The ambiance is what you would expect of an older, established, more expensive restaurant. The acoustics were actually decent and I had no issue talking with my friend at the table. The food was overall good. The cocktails were maybe slightly disappointing but still decent cocktails. The oysters and the spinach bread were the star of the show. I highly recommend both. My friend said the lobster risotto was very good. The bolognese was too salty. I love salinity but this was too much for me. Next time I'm here I will have to try one of the steaks.

Drinks! Left is ube and paw paw.

We have been dying to try Oliver's and finally had the chance for my birthday weekend to use a $200 gift card purchased at Christmas. We tried everything we could. Spinach bread is delightful. I was dubious at first from the description but it's a must and was well worth it. We also had oysters that were delicious, and shrimp cocktail that was also very nice. For entrees I had the scallops which were perfect in every way and had an amazing brown sear. The rare steak arrived rare so you can trust Oliver's and not order one or two shades down from what you desire. We tried three desserts all amazing. A pecan tart with a banana bourbon gelato, a chocolate ganache cake, and a salted caramel gelato with snickerdoodle biscotti. We also tired as many cocktails as we could... an ube and paw paw drink was my first and very good, the blood orange cocktail and the islandy coconut one were also divine. Everything was clearly made with care and quality in mind. Our server was also lovely and offered many helpful suggestions and took wonderful care of us. I would say that Oliver's and Prescotts Provisions are tied for best restaurant in Buffalo. And I would choose either OR BOTH for any special event you may want to plan in the future. Just superb food, presentation, and experience.

Our annual holiday dinner spot. Parker house rolls and decadence of egg are must haves ! Great cocktails and wine list, great service.

This was a once in a few years treat that we were able to take part in because of a generous gift certificate we received from my sister. The service is so spectacular that it made everything worth it. But, overall, I'm glad we weren't spending our own money. We started with the wagyu carpaccio...it was delicious but so small, with just three tiny pieces of the wagyu placed on top of rice crisps. I wouldn't order it again. We also ordered the spinach loaf to start, which was good enough but didn't seem to belong on the menu. It was something you'd get from your local red sauce joint. I opted for the lobster risotto for my main and was pretty disappointed. The amount of lobster was generous enough but the risotto was all wrong. It appears as if they use a medium grain rice instead of the traditional arborio rice. This meant that there was no creaminess to the dish at all. The acid from the white wine was abrasive and there was nothing to balance it. On top of that, the rice was undercooked and toothsome....just not pleasant. I didn't complain, but I probably should have. We shared the Brooklyn Blackout cake for dessert and it did not disappoint, a highlight of the meal. And I can't say enough about how good the service was. Our server Devin and his assistant were on top of everything, all the time. We couldn't have asked to be better taken care of...I just wish the food had been as excellent.

My boyfriend and I came here recently and we had a wonderful experience. Parking was valet. Our waiter was attentive. We ordered the oyster rockefeller which had a creamy spinach and maybe egg base to it. I thought they were tasty but overpriced. The oysters were also tiny. We ordered the lobster risotto and the strip steak. I thought my lobster risotto was delicious. It was flavored perfectly and had poached lobster in it. My boyfriend said it was the best steak he's ever had so I guess that's a plus! We were too full for dessert but perhaps next week. I also knocked over my glass of wine by accident and they were happy to replace it with a full glass. The inside of the restaurant has such a sleek vibe to it. It was also really quiet so it provided quite an intimate ambiance. I would return.

"Apple of My Eye" Dessert! Highly Recommend:)

(4.25) ~ Very good Overall food & Service. Note: They have Valet parking ONLY, & I'm not sure you are allowed to street park near there...Reservations are recommended too. DRINKS: ** Britesmith Brewing "Walk the Dog" Dry Irish Stout = (4.25) Very good, would be better if they could make it "Nitro" like Guinness;) ** French Press Coffee (half) = (4) very good option *** Water (tap) = We ended up getting bottled, so I'm not sure... FOOD: ** "Apple of My Eye" Dessert = (4.5) Very Good! Highly Recommend:) See photo ** Spinach Roll (whole) = (4) kinda like garlic bread (w. spinach;) ** Roasted Beet Salad = (4) very good ** Prawn Pappardelle = (4) very tasty

Finally made it here and I am so happy that we did. We were greeted right away. I love that they have coat check and valet parking. We were brought over to our table right away. Our waiter was Fred, and he was fabulous, very attentive and informative in helping us make decisions on what to get for dinner and appetizers. The food did not disappoint. We had oysters, chilled shrimp and spinach loaf to start. Dinner was the filet mignon which was tender and flavorful. Salmon dinner was delicious. For dessert we had the apple of eye and the presentation was so pretty. Highly recommend coming here. Excellent service, food and a great wine menu.

In attempting to do this, I was breaking with tradition, as I routinely gather with family and friends at the Curtiss Hotel or The Richardson Hotel, ...being accustomed to their consistently phenomenal customer service. You can hardly imagine my disappointment and embarrassment with the treatment my guests and I received from the host/receptionist at The Terrace. From the moment we entered the venue, we were dismissed as vagabonds, even though we were elegantly dressed. My family, and I, accomplished purveyors of the arts, haute cuisine, and world travelers, had found ourselves brutally insulted and our value as guests to the venue, diminished by the arrogance and classless attitude presented when we requested to be seated for dinner. By the way, the place was nowhere near capacity in reference to already seated guests... in fact, it was pretty empty. We were told it was requisite that we needed to make on-line reservations in order to be seated and served at a table... no exceptions! An empathetic waiter and waitress, overhearing our predicament, tried coming to our rescue and suggested we may consider being seated at the bar. We were told the menu was the same whether we were at the bar or a table. When this waiter and waitress kindly tried to accommodate us with the suggestion to consider sitting at the bar, the host met their eyes with a glance of total defiance. We were so uncomfortable at the prospect of continuing to manage sitting at the bar, with only one table available for four people, coupled with that the discernible feeling of not being wanted at the venue overcame us. So, we proceeded to default to one of our usual venues, where class, accommodation and elegance always reigns, that being the Richardson. We will never risk giving that host at the Terrace the opportunity to show such disrespect to us again! I hope this review has others considering an alternate establishment that maintains the dignity of their visitors rather than disrespecting and disregarding it!

The space is set up and decorated beautifully! So many different spots to take pictures or just hang out. And then the actual banquet area was very spacious and looked very elegant with the string lights, tablecloths and cloth napkins. Everyone who walked in couldn't believe how great the space was. The food was also fantastic! We just had a regular dinner buffet with baked chicken, roast beef and sides, but everything was very tasty! The star of the meal was the chef selection of mini desserts! Everyone raved about it and everything was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten those lemon bars all weekend. The thing that put everything over the top was the courtyard. Everyone did not see it as soon as they came in but once they did venture outside, no one wanted to come back in. Good thing the program part of the banquet was already over. We took wonderful pictures. The fire pit was lit, and everyone just wanted to stay for as long as possible. I only wish we could have stayed past 10. The only downside was the A/V. But i think if you are bringing your own speakers and things, it would be fine. All in all, I would absolutely, unquestionably refer this space to anyone looking to have an event. We had around 120 people, and we were in the larger room, but even the smaller room looked great when I peeked in.

In terms of walkability to anything nearby and blight immediately surrounding the hotel, it's not the best location.
