Came here right when they opened for lunch on a Friday. As I was trying to put a rather large order for my co-workers, I tried to order through their website, unfortunately it wasn't working. I tried the old school way and ordered our lunch over the phone. The guy who picked up and turned out to be the same guy who prepared our food, was quick and efficient. Drove over after a few minutes. Ample parking in the lot beside the restaurant. Got there, and our food wasn't quite ready, but it's because we did arrive a bit earlier than expected. Restaurant was empty since we came right at opening. It was clean and organized and the people serving us were nice and courteous. They even went to the extent of labelling our food individually as it would have been tough to tell which was which under all that delicious garlic sauce. Food was delicious and VERY generous. I can eat a lot, but barely finished my bowl of goodness. I'm not the biggest fan of Mediterranean food, but this is a place I would come back for future visits! read more

Whenever I'm in TO (I'm from Montreal), I make sure to stop by Olive Kebab. If you're going to treat yourself to some fantastic mediterranean food, you have to go here. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by some of the nicest people I've ever met. As you pick through the menu, you're introduced to some of the freshest ingredients you'll encounter at any restaurant. I always go for the Full Lafa, but I recommend the half for anyone else. This is a big boy wrap, and it's packed with good ingredients, juicy meat, and love. Check out the pics (unedited) and you'll quickly realize what I'm talking about. Note: This is more of a takeout place. There are 3-4 small tables of 2ppl and a small counter. Shawarma Bowl - $9.99, didn't really look like the poster, and I'd say it was comparable to a Chipotle bowl in terms of portion and composition. It was good. What wasn't really good was that dishes are served in "recyclable" black takeout containers, but they're thrown in the garbage. So I found it rather wasteful. I asked the lady behind the counter and she said it goes in the bin! Lady wasn't super-friendly, just about what you'd expect from a takeout place. Decent, if I were in the area I'd go back to try something else, but not mind-blowing. Again, it's not a restaurant, so keep that in mind. read more

for as long I have been with my significant other I have been searching for a local place for shawarma, and honestly I've tried a lot of places, local and not local, I have my favorites in the core but now I have found a favorite locally...FINALLY! I'm always popping in and out of shoppers drug mart for the post office and the first thing I see walking back to my car is the olive kebab! last night I was fortunate enough to be of the mindset to actually walk in and grab myself some dinner after 3 hours of running around after work. I walked into this restaurant and was instantly impressed by them having lamb as an option. I had the full laffa lamb and the full laffa chicken. I was told it would be a ten minute wait, which was fine by me. I'm not sure of the gentleman's name behind the counter making the food, but watching him cook was like watching poetry in motion. I know that may come across as funny, but im being 100% serious when I say that. he asked me to come up and pick my toppings to which I did, and im not even going to lie, when he was done it looked as though he painted a photo...on each of the laffa's. after all the food was cooked and wrapped in packages I tell you that I have never been given food so carefully and wrapped to attentively. got home and dove right into the food. to say that the food was excellent is an understatement, the lamb wrap alone shook me down to my foundation and made me super happy and full of energy. very flavorful, very bright in color. just all around amazing. I am very, very happy to call this location one of my favorites in Toronto and its been along time coming. the server behind the counter is one of the nicest and friendliest servers I have dealt with. extremely happy and I can't wait to come back very very soon. Finally somewhere nearby with some tasty shawarma and falafel! I went for the first time last week and tried their shawarma dinner. You get a giant bowl of rice and chicken shawarma with a small Greek salad for $15.99. Huge portion so you won't go hungry. I got my wife a Greek salad with falafel and she said there were the best falafel she had ever had. So much so that we ordered a falafel dinner again last night! I agree they were the best falafel I've ever had. So fresh, they make them to order with the batter so it's not some thing that has been sitting out all day. Food is all very fresh and has incredible flavour. I'll be honest, the first time I went to go there I skipped it because the inside didn't look that great and they had the big shawarma spit with nothing on it so I feared it was going to not be great, but I'm glad I made it in and gave them a try because their food is fantastic! read more

A great fusion of Persian, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern cuisine. It was my first visit to this restaurant and it wont be the last. I ordered a regular sized chicken shawarma wrap and all I can say is wow. The wrap was huge. Enough for 2 people to share. The freshness of the prepared salads combined with the chicken shawarma, all wrapped up in Laffa bread. So delicious and really filling. Very satisfying. Great place to grab a quick bite! I have had the falafel half laffa twice and it is HUGE - keeps me full for the rest of the day, which is hard to do! They have an amazing selection of toppings, create each dish with lots of care, and keep everything so clean! I once stopped in for some hummus to go with the rest of my lunch and they made it fresh. Honestly one of the best shawarma Ive had in the gta. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, we got a chicken shawarma full size, half size chicken shawarma and a full size falafel wrap. The ingredients were very fresh and delicious, chicken was tender and full of flavour and they are not stingy with the fillings the wrap is huge even the half size was like a regular shawarma in other places its worth every penny for the quality you get plus the lafa wrap is amazing. The owners went out of their way and even gave my mom a free container of their fried eggplant. If you want something healthy and fresh this is definatly the spot you will not regret coming here. Watch out for the wife behind the counter who prepares your food. I don't think I've ever heard her say please, thank you, or even hello and I am a regular customer. This evening she made a mistake on another order in front of me, and passes off the mistake to me as my order. Nether of us knew what ingredients were in front of us, and she had no sense to start my order anew. So as not to waste food, I accepted. She then proceeded to say negative things under her breath in her native language to her husband. SHE was obviously displeased with ME. This attitude of hers stinks and its not the first time, either. She talks badly about her customers often. She is unfriendly and rude and pushy. The chicken shawarma that I ended up with tonight was AWFUL and since it was not really my order, no big surprise there. I paid for a dinner that I did not even order because this woman did not have the ability to put her mistake aside. You're welcome for saving YOU money Olive Kabob. Rude AF. 0 stars for awful and rude service. 0 stars for an awful experience. UPDATE: I went back to this restaurant for a refund for last night's meal. The level of decency and customer service and appreciation is appalling. I don't use that word often, but I am appalled. I do not believe that this woman has ever said 'please' once in her life. Asking for her husband, she barks 'wait', does not go to get him. Overall, her attitude is the worst I have seen in a long time. I was excited to see a Mediterranean restaurant open near me. I got a bunch of orders, to feed 6. Everything was fantastic. I loved the appetizer platter, with pickled beets and delicious hummous. The falafel balls were tasty and not dry, which is a common fault. The lamb skewers blew my mind. I had to stop myself from eating them all on the group! Quinoa salad was a nice, raw option. One downside was there was only one person working, so it took a while to put together. If there was a lineup, I can only imagine. I will be coming back again. Soon. My husband picked up take out from here this week and it was delicious! I got a chicken shawarma wrap and it was huge! The chicken was moist and delicious and the toppings were both plentiful and flavourful. My husband got the chicken shawarma platter and it was great as well.
