However, the food left a lot to be desired. I got the Maui bowl with salmon and tuna. As I watched the older gentleman assemble the food I noticed that the size of the fish was tiny, like very tiny cubes and I've never encountered that at any other poke establishments. I thought maybe he was going to do two scoops of each fish to make up for the size but I was wrong. He did one small scoop of the tuna and then the salmon, but I saw that the scoop wasn't fully emptied before he put it back, so I got half of a scoop basically. Then they proceeded to drown the bowl in a spicy mayo sauce. I honestly can't even tell you if the food tasted fresh or what the marinate in the marinated tuna tasted like and nor can I tell you the texture of the fish because the cubes are that small, and on top of that, you can't taste anything through the thick sauce. For $16 something dollars it is almost criminal for a small lettuce bowl with a few scrap pieces of fish. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place.

The rice bowl that I can't recall the name of was a little hot but not overbearing but I also got chipotle mayo on top but you can pick your sauces. The chicken thigh isn't my preference but I give it a strong 8.5-9. Drinks were expensive. Understandable maybe at an eat in restaurant and even then I'm kinda side eyeing the price. Overall this is a solid spot to eat. So I figured I'd get the good out of the way. We ordered from here expecting a wait. It was Saturday so ok. 2 and a half hour preorder. Food should be done at 8. The chicken Caesar wrap was huge, packed with flavor, and seriously satisfying. Every bite had the perfect balance of chicken, dressing, and crunch. But the chicken lamb gyro? That was next level. It was loaded, insanely flavorful, and honestly required two hands to handle. The meat was juicy, well seasoned, and everything worked together perfectly. You can tell they don't cut corners here. Great portions, bold flavors, and food that actually leaves you full and happy. Verdant is officially a go to spot for me now, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

It's all to go based which is a shame because the item that was tried is a cool option to sit and eat with others. Had the Godzilla Roll and Crazy Spicy Sushi Burrito. When I saw a picture pop up on the Yelp feed of a sushi burrito knew that it had to be tried! Godzilla roll was a good crunchy safe route although there was no wasabi. The burrito is still trying to compute in the brain and taste buds. You want to love it because how different it is, but realize the challenge of having to meticulously eat it without making a mess. Working with the paper wrap while eating. Overall, it's a decent spot that will probably go again, but with no dine in options and a tad on the high side for the burrito ($13.55) it will be more of a treat style place.

This was only my second time at the Chop House (my first being about year ago for my wife's…read morebirthday) even though my wife's family are what you could call regulars. My wife again chose The Chop House for her birthday dinner celebration and for great reason! We came on her birthday, a Tuesday evening, for drinks and appetizers in the bar area. The gentleman working valet was very respectful and professional and while I can take or leave valet in most cases, he definitely added to the upscale experience of the entire night. Upon seating ourselves at a high-top, both bartenders on shift greeted us with huge smiles and very warm hello's. They are familiar faces to my wife's family and were genuinely happy to see us. Unfortunately, we learned my wife's family's favorite server, Debbie, recently retired but great for her! The bartenders were fabulous themselves. Service, personability, mixology skills were all top-notch. They fit the sophisticated vibe of the restaurant perfectly. We started with drinks of course! A Stoli Elit Martini with a twist, a Dirty Martini, an Apple Butter Old Fashioned, and a Tito's and Club. The drinks came out beautifully. Smooth, chilled. I ordered the Apple Butter Old Fashioned as I was intrigued, but skeptical. While I thought it was good, I'd prefer a regular or Smoked Old Fashioned to the Apple Butter. My wife loved it though. We ordered lots of food to split and each appetizer we picked was as good if not better than the next. The Tuna Nachos fresh and had a tropical, savory flavor with pineapple mixed in. The Kona Tips were tender, full of flavor coming from the Kona crust and sautéed mushrooms/onions, and were served in a skillet full of sauce perfect for soaking up with bread. I actually liked the Kona Tips appetizer more than I liked the Kona Crust I got on my NY Strip I ordered last year (the Strip was great I'd just prefer no Kona crust on the entree). The Flatbread De Jour was a Kona Tip flatbread, which you may call us crazy for ordering two Kona Tip inspired appetizers, but the Kona Tips are just that good. The Oysters we had were small (just how I like them) and were up there with the best Oysters I've had. We finished up with Fried Calamari. They were lightly battered, fried nicely, tender, and served over a bed of different hot peppers (when I say hot, I mean it!). Everything was delicious and there wasn't one appetizer we chose that I wouldn't order again or recommend to others. We did order a few more drinks throughout the night -- another Elit Martini and a Hendrix Martini with the appetizers and then Bailey's on the rocks and Frangelico on the rocks as after dinner, dessert drinks. We ordered a Brownie Sundae for the table for my wife's birthday while she was excused from the table and the bartender brought it out with a lit candle. The bartender also brought out a complementary miniature Crème Brûlée for my wife as she acknowledged The Chop House's Crème Brûlée as one of her favorites earlier in the night when we were talking about the menu. I thought the entire night went as good as you could have hoped. Valet, bar service, food, drinks, desserts, atmosphere. Everything was amazing and most importantly my wife had a great birthday. This is two years in a row we celebrated her birthday at The Chop House and I wouldn't mind seeing this turn into her birthday tradition.

He checked on us through out our meal to ensure we were enjoying our meal. We had the calamari and dozen raw oysters which were both fresh and delicious. We had the Chophouse steak experience which worked out perfectly for our table of four and actually could've feed 5 easily. It consisted of 4 cuts of steaks and my favorites were the filet and ribeye. They were seasoned perfectly and grilled medium rare. Our sides were mashed potatoes, CH hash browns, and grilled asparagus. The weakest link was the asparagus which were small in size but still tasty. I will definitely be back based on service, food and value. This is a perfect restaurant for celebrations, dates and casual dining. Definitely a gem of a restaurant. Will be back sooner than later.

We did our usual, apps, entrees and dessert. I mean that's only fair in doing a proper review. For apps we had the fried artichokes, Italian eggrolls and stuffed long hots. Eggrolls were my favorite. They were like a mini roast pork and broccoli rabe sandwich but in a tiny package. So good. The artichokes were good but for the price I would pass it was mostly arugula. Long hots were spicy and stuffed. Hubs like them. Steak sandwich was good. Not dry. Now to the pizza. I enjoyed the prosciutto and fig pizza more than the margarita but only because of the salty sweet contrast. So good. Pizza crust had a nice chew. Dessert was good.
