I had a craving & they definitely hit the spot. My waiter was extremely helpful, kind, and all around soft spoken. It just fits the mood and the vibe I was going for. His suggestion with the coffee was great. Water as soon as I sat down. Everything was 10/10! He also came to bring out condiments right after my food was served. If I did want it, not having to ask made it so much better. I thought it was odd to have hot sauce with my breakfast but that sauce was amazing. I actually really love the flavor. I kinda wanna bring some home lol! So many things on the menu I actually would love to try so you can bet I'll be back for more!

Absolutely recommend this restaurant! Family-owned with diverse cuisine from Hawaii, Vietnam, and Laos. They have the potential to bring the community together with their monthly buffet (which I have yet to attend). The buffets will showcase a different culture-centered cuisine. Last month was Hawaiian cuisine. Looking forward to their take on Filipino cuisine. The owner was very friendly, and the ambiance is laid back, cafe-style.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! So we didn't feel like cooking tonight and I've been stalking this place since I heard it was going to open. Well soft open. There was so much annoying city stuff that really delayed it. Anyway it opened while we were away for vacation and then I just got so busy that it slipped my mind. So back to tonight. My wife wanted to go out and I didn't. Then she reminded me this place was open and I caved. We walked over and got a seat immediately. As soon as we walked in everyone was like hey welcome! And one of those people ended up being the owner. I've been looking at the menu but I wasn't sure what I wanted now that it was actually possible. The server was awesome guiding us through the menu and making suggestions based on our taste. It's BYO but don't think there isn't a drink menu! They have a whole list of mocktails which for someone who doesn't drink it's like heaven. I got the Hawaiian one based on the servers suggestion. You're probably expecting me to say I loved it and it was delicious. Both are true. I got the poke as a starter. Even my wife who does not consume raw anything tried it and was impressed. Of course she did not want more than one bite but just the fact that she tried it was out of this world. The server suggested Huli Chicken for her and I got the pork Bánh mì. I tried some of hers and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was nice and light. My sandwich was delicious. Portions were pretty large. Homemade chips with it were perfectly crispy. Cook came out from the back to see how our meal was and then the owner came over to talk to us. It was so cool to talk to him and you could just see how much he loves cooking. So happy for him to be doing what he loves and so thankful this opened up here! I can't wait to try brunch.

I was extremely excited to try Das Good Cafe as I'm a native of the islands and always welcome easy access to good food from home. I ordered a soup special, which I believe is only offered on Thursday and Fridays and rotates regularly. The portion size was perfect, the balance of ingredients was just right (I.e., they didn't skimp on anything and everything was in harmony), and the depth of the broth was good. The staff that helped us were quick, kind, and clearly knew the menu, options to modify, and allergen information. There is both indoor and outdoor dining space. The indoor dining space is welcoming, and there is ample seating. My partner ordered the Hawaiian breakfast, which included rice, fried SPAM, eggs, and teriyaki sauce. He also ordered a beverage from the fresh juice menu. He's a picky eater, and he loved all of it. Sign up for the free loyalty program, especially if you intend on coming back again in the future. I'll definitely be back to try other standard menu offerings.

For $16 this is underwhelming and the chicken is pretty dark in color. I feel like for this price the portion or quality should be reflected

the loco moco was perfect for brunch. i'm still thinking about it. the gravy was sweet and beef patty and egg were savory and cooked well. felt like a homey meal. empanadas were fresh, crispy, and flavorful. whatever that sauce is on the side was delicious. i definitely have to come back for the lao burger. TIP: dont miss their fresh bakery section next to the register. the shortbread cookies were delicious

Love this place! Been coming here for a while now and decided to stop in for a late lunch last…read moreweek. Veggie dumplings always hit the spot so we started out with those--Can't go wrong! I usually get the grilled shrimp pho but decided to switch it up and try the grilled shrimp platter which is another one of my personal favs--They did a great job it was yummy but could use maybe 2 more shrimp to make the dish more fulfilling; maybe advertise it as on add on if possible. The curry shrimp was also tasty, I don't think it had any sweet potatoes in it like the menu said and could've used less egg plant but overall was pretty good. Still one of my favorite places on main street to grab a bite to eat :)

So I was scrolling on TikTok came across someone that had Pho from a store in I believe West…read morePhiladelphia or somewhere far from me. But someone under the post commented that they enjoy coming to Main Street Pho so I decided to come to this location because this is close to me. You can go on their site and place the order for pick up. That was very convenient and easy. It's right on Main Street in manayunk so you already know the parking is not the greatest. I actually drove by the place. I had to circle back around and I got lucky and found parking. It's actually right across the street from Winnie's to be exact. It's a very small and quaint place and the gentleman at the counter was very nice and helpful. I got the brisket pho, eggplant with garlic sauce and shrimp, chicken wings and Vietnamese coffee. Overall, I was not impressed; disappointed in the lack of flavor. Their wings were with tamarind sauce and the sauce was not good so I did not use it so it left the wings very bland. All of the food really didn't have any flavor and Pho is supposed to have great flavor coming from the broth. Even the Vietnamese coffee was just OK. I've had better of all the above. I'm not sure if I will go back here. I'm a flavor person so that's what I would need to be sold. Maybe this is a bad batch day.

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this place. My first thought was, "Bahn Mi…read morein Manayunk? C'mon, how good can it be?", but as soon as I tasted the food, I was blown away. Truly one of the best Bahn Mi sandwiches I've had in the area, and I've tried a huge amount of em across Philly. Worthy of five stars and worth the trip out to the neighborhood if you're in another part of the city. Fu Wah still has my heart, but this place is incredible.

To the point - it was ok but not that great…read more Mi n Tea caught my eye with their Gettin' Fancy Banh Mi, so I'll start there. I got the filet mignon medium rare and did not remove any of the standard offerings. First bite was just a carrot overload, they say the carrots are pickled but that acidity just wasn't there so it was just carrot flavor. The filet mignon is fried but didn't have a crunch or much seasoning to it so it relatively tasted like a meat was present. The "House special sauce" had such a minuscule effect on the sandwich until the end middle of the half. The bread was standard Banh Mi baguette style roll but wasn't anything remarkable in regard to crunch, softness and taste. Overall I give the Gettin' Fancy an unfortunate 3/10 "The Classic" held up to it a name, it's very much a classic Banh mi, we initially thought the "belly cuts" were going to be more of a thick pork belly but was deli slice thin. Not a big problem but the sandwich lacked depth, I found myself hav3 similar flavor experiences between the two sandwiches which wasn't great but I think that comes from the overuse of the vegetables which overshadowed the meats for me. I give "The Classic" a ok 4/10 The Bulgogi Bowl was pretty good, I think the heavy hand of veggies work here. I do however wish the beef itself was a bit more seasoned as again it just felt like a cooked beef meat and lacked the flavorful addition it so desperately needed. The Bulgogi Bowl gets an ok 4.5/10 The Furikake Fries were the star but mainly because nothing else shined. The furikake seasoning was just thrown on top of truthful really well fried fries. They had a great crunch and were a bit airy, very small but still satisfying. The season didn't do much, I wish that added maybe a garlic oil and tossed them in the seasoning instead of just sprinkling it on top. It came with spicy ketchup which we actually, it's nothing too crazy, very true to the name. The Furikake Fries get a nice 6.5/10 We got 3 drinks but I forgot to snap a picture, forgive me. We got the Matcha Cloud Latte, Mi n' Tea Milk Tea, and some coffee but didn't try that so I can't judge. The milk tea was terrible, very standard Milk tea with zero personality, and the boba was very plain which barely any sweetness. The only grace I will give is that I did order the sweetness level to 75% so maybe the 100% is better but overall it wasn't creaming in the slightest, and was soooo watery. The Mi n' Tea Milk Tra gets a sad 1/10 I'm not the biggest matcha fan but I thought the Matcha Cloud Latte was pretty good. Same 75% sweetness but it was still pretty good. I'm not too well versed on matcha so I don't have much to say, overall giving the Matcha Cloud Latte a solid 7/10 The service was good, not the biggest space, very standard cafe, but not much seating. I was really looking forward to the Banh mis but they ended up being Bad and Mid.
