    Vietnamese Style Breakfast
    David W.

Finally had a chance to stop in for lunch, and WOW was it worth the wait - they deserve 5-plus stars. Server was quite attentive, got our food orders in right away. My Deputy Yelper proclaimed that the chicken with her Vietnamese Style Breakfast was cooked to perfection, with just the right seasoning. The "over easy" eggs also looked to be perfectly cooked to over easy. I had the tofu Bahn Mi sandwich, comes with a side of what look like house-made chips, balanced with some very tasty cucumber slices. Certainly among the best Bhan Mi's I've ever had. Check out their "Das Hot Sauce" - it is spicy! In the middle of the meal, I asked our server for a hot Vietnamese coffee. He seemed to have forgotten the order because some time went by without it arriving, but that was fine with me as I actually wanted the coffee after finishing lunch. So as I finished eating, he came over, apologized for not bringing the coffee earlier, and said he'd bring it now - but wouldn't put it on the bill since he had fogotten it earlier! Does restautant service ever get better than that? The coffee, BTW, was delicious and soooo hot. Will definitely be back, there are many vegetarian and vegan items on the menu that are so intriguing.

I enjoyed the food and service but not the size of the table. I spent my entire dining experience nervous I was going to flip one of my two plates of food on the floor. I ordered the Das Good Breakfast and the French toast. I enjoyed everything. The food portions were perfect. Note: there is a fee for street parking Monday through Saturday up until 6pm.

I had a craving & they definitely hit the spot. My waiter was extremely helpful, kind, and all around soft spoken. It just fits the mood and the vibe I was going for. His suggestion with the coffee was great. Water as soon as I sat down. Everything was 10/10! He also came to bring out condiments right after my food was served. If I did want it, not having to ask made it so much better. I thought it was odd to have hot sauce with my breakfast but that sauce was amazing. I actually really love the flavor. I kinda wanna bring some home lol! So many things on the menu I actually would love to try so you can bet I'll be back for more!

Absolutely recommend this restaurant! Family-owned with diverse cuisine from Hawaii, Vietnam, and Laos. They have the potential to bring the community together with their monthly buffet (which I have yet to attend). The buffets will showcase a different culture-centered cuisine. Last month was Hawaiian cuisine. Looking forward to their take on Filipino cuisine. The owner was very friendly, and the ambiance is laid back, cafe-style.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! So we didn't feel like cooking tonight and I've been stalking this place since I heard it was going to open. Well soft open. There was so much annoying city stuff that really delayed it. Anyway it opened while we were away for vacation and then I just got so busy that it slipped my mind. So back to tonight. My wife wanted to go out and I didn't. Then she reminded me this place was open and I caved. We walked over and got a seat immediately. As soon as we walked in everyone was like hey welcome! And one of those people ended up being the owner. I've been looking at the menu but I wasn't sure what I wanted now that it was actually possible. The server was awesome guiding us through the menu and making suggestions based on our taste. It's BYO but don't think there isn't a drink menu! They have a whole list of mocktails which for someone who doesn't drink it's like heaven. I got the Hawaiian one based on the servers suggestion. You're probably expecting me to say I loved it and it was delicious. Both are true. I got the poke as a starter. Even my wife who does not consume raw anything tried it and was impressed. Of course she did not want more than one bite but just the fact that she tried it was out of this world. The server suggested Huli Chicken for her and I got the pork Bánh mì. I tried some of hers and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was nice and light. My sandwich was delicious. Portions were pretty large. Homemade chips with it were perfectly crispy. Cook came out from the back to see how our meal was and then the owner came over to talk to us. It was so cool to talk to him and you could just see how much he loves cooking. So happy for him to be doing what he loves and so thankful this opened up here! I can't wait to try brunch.

Charming diner eatery near Chelten train station. The shrimp and grits were great, but the chicken and waffles lacked flavor and were overcooked. Service was better than previous visit. Still hoping this well-located shop finds its footing since G-town needs more sit down restaurants.

We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

Our server Rachel was lovely and gave us a rundown of their specials and the menu's top hits. Our drink selections ranged from as boring as a Diet Coke to as fun as a seasonal lemonade. We were all content with our choices, though we puttered around making suggestions from their large drink menu. I typically go for a savory breakfast, but the stuffed brioche French toast was speaking to me. I can never turn down banana! The rest of our table ordered avocado toast (x2) and fried eggs with bacon. Everyone was really happy with their choices and an added bonus was that our food came out quickly. I insisted everyone at our table try a bite of my massive stuffed brioche French toast and the consensus was that it was ridiculously good. Though this spot is tiny, it is not to be missed.

Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. That's somewhat expected for a popular brunch spot on a weekend. Once seated, the service was prompt. Our waiter stopped by quickly with waters and took good care of us throughout the meal. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.

There's a grand staircase that walks down into an even bigger and more open area. Up first, was a $9 hot chocolate and a $23 Bluecoat (Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives). The martini was perfect, exactly how I like it with tiny slivers of ice shards. Second, I had a $30 Gold Espresso Martini with vodka. It was also perfect. Probably the prettiest espresso martini I've ever been served. The leaf design in your drink is pretty sweet. Tons of dates here, anniversaries, vacationers, and people super dressed up. Most certainly look your best if you decide to come. Next time I'm in Philly, I'll certainly be back!
