Friday Jan. 23, 2026 I had Dr.s appt. in Dublin so we were looking for a place to eat lunch. I went to the Ole Times website to see the menu for Fri. and it had fried fish and country steak on the menu. I told my wife that sounded good so we went. We got there at 11:15 thinking the food would be fresh and good. They get your money coming in the door so you've already paid by the time you realize there's no fish or country fried steak, only some frozen meatballs in gravy and a lot of chicken wings, fried chicken, and baked spaghetti that was nothing but pasta someone waved some sauce over and topped with a bit of cheese. I asked our waitress what happened to the fish and country fried steak and she just said, "They don't do that anymore". We've eaten there several times in the past so we thought at least what they have will be good. WRONG! the chicken tasted like it was fried in old grease and none of the vegetables were seasoned properly. This place used to be good. Yesterday it was $30.00 plus tip for lunch and I left feeling like I'd been robbed. This is how you loose a restaurant. It was obvious they were putting out the cheapest food possible to save money. That is very counterproductive. People will stop coming if they don't like the food and you wind up loosing even more. That was my last trip to the 'Ole Times Buffet in Dublin Ga. read more

We used Yelp to look for a local restaurant in Dublin & found Ole Time Country Buffet. The food & service was great. They have so much on the buffet to choose from and all was delicious. They were constantly bringing out fresh hot food to replenish the containers. Very affordable. We will definitely be stopping by again on our travels between Atlanta & Savannah. read more

I have been a regular here for almost 11 years and as time goes on, am there less and less. Since the ownership change a couple years back. It continues to go downhill. The side items are reutilized and not fresh, instant potatoes now too. Their deep fried items have some merit but most of their staff are lacking. The kitchen crew smells of marijuana and are totally nasty and unprofessional. What a shame this place has become overall. They can't even update their website to reflect current hours of business!! read more

Once a favorite, slipped to average. Obvious economic impact as food is less plentiful, fewer choices. Fried fish requires cole slaw. Hot French fries would be nice. Country fare appears from a can. Food preparation is less attractive. Salad bar dressings appear watered down. When compared to competitor, down the street, they lose. Senior or veteran benefit has no impact. read more

I must say, every town needs a restaurant like this! This place is a gem. The prices are low, 14 dollars with a drink and tax, and the food is just like grandma's. The best fried pork chops and chicken I've ever eaten. The selection is large but not over done. Everything was delicious. They had a gentleman watching the buffet to ensure that food items didn't run low and that it remained clean, the servers were on their A game, and everyone was friendly. I'll gladly drive the 50 miles from my home to dine there often. Definitely give it a shot. read more

We looked at the menu before we went and there was barely anything on the buffet that they advertised. We were there at 2 PM. Most food containers were empty, the country steak was nothing but gravy; there were no potato items nor was there any place for any; only two vegetables, collards, and corn which was shriveled up and a light brown. The rice and broccoli container only had some residue around the edge and didn't appear to have had any broccoli. There were three pieces of fried chicken breast and when that was gone I heard a staff person say they said they were out of fried chicken. There was no seafood of any sort. The peach cobbler was gone. I asked if they were going to bring more out and was told yes but none ever came. The only dessert was a banana pudding that looked like it had been out for a week. We should have been informed when we came in that they were running out of food and nothing would be replenished. Nothing was said but they took our $28. I complained and all I got was "I'm sorry." This was a sorry excuse for a country buffet. If I could rate less than one star, I would. I recommend going down the street to Golden Corral. read more

We drove almost 2 hours to eat Thanksgiving dinner here. We've eaten here many times before on Thanksgiving and it was wonderful. BUT, today! Today was the worst Thanksgiving dinner we've ever had! There was NO dressing/stuffing, the vegetables tasted like they were just poured out of a can, there was no bread, rolls, cornbread, and what was supposed to be the dessert bar had a few cookies and what appeared to be a burned cobbler of some kind. I can't think of one item that would be considered tasty. We will not be back to this location in Dublin, GA. Hopefully the other franchises will continue their tradition of serving great food that reminds you of "home cooking". read more

I've never been a huge fan of buffets. I'm usually satisfied after one plate of food but yet feel guilty if I don't go back for a second trip since I paid almost $10 for it. That's just me though. For three people we walked out paying about $30 with tip. Waitress was friendly, though she did forget to refill our drinks a few times and we just flagged her down to remind her. For buffet food, it was great in comparison to other chain buffet restaurants. My favorite was the macaroni and cheese and the yeast rolls. They were so fluffy and just melted in your mouth. I tried what I thought to be chicken fried steak, but it was a tad chewy and I had to use a knife to saw through it. Will I return? Yes, so long as I'm not paying and someone else is. read more

This ok food....not the Home cooking I am use to but few know that real scalled on country cooking......It's all canned and little seasoning. But a GOOD value for your money!! The salad bar makes me come back time and time again! They could use more seasoning for my liking but I understand catering to the public, I can always add salt and pepper. read more

Been here several times now, food is always good. If you like old time country cooking like your momma or grandmama made, this is the place. Not fancy, clean, and well equipped , staff friendly and on the job. Consistently the best fried chicken in middle Georgia! Their buffet is always loaded with naughty delights such as pig feet, catfish, collard and turnip greens, corn on the Cobb and much more. Went today about 3 pm. Tomatoes and okra over rice looked good but had no taste at all. The black eyed peas were good and macaroni was tasty. The fried chicken was very dry and baked chicken was alright. The best deal of today was the peach cobbler. For $21 take out was a bust. read more

The buffet is back in still the best southern cooking around. Had turnips this time and wish I had gotten more because I always get it to go. Dining room is open again but I'm still taking it to go and wish they were open past 5. For those of us working, you have to leave early get your meal and bring it back home. read more

Omg I can't say enough about how great the southern home cooking is here. We were just traveling through and stopped in. The 3 miles or so off the interstate was so worth it!!! The service was friendly and I ate so much I can hardly move! Fried okra, collards, fried chicken and catfish, sweet potatoes, ham, cornbread and a big selection or desserts like peach cobbler and banana pudding. FANTASTIC!!! read more

Wide selection, good home style cooking, all you can eat at a reasonable price, yeah I'll recommend the place. Ole Times came recommended from a local as one of the best places for home style cooking and I agree. The service was friendly and they have plenty of seating. This was my last meal of my stay in Dublin, 4 meals (3 of them feasts really) and all 4 were great. My kinda trip. read more

I drive from atlanta just for this. It's the best southern/soul food restaurant in the south This time I just happened to be going to Savannah and had to make a stop. It changed a little bit but not the food. Still delicious. The people are nice and the food is really good keilin eats so much when we go there ,and she usually doesn't eat much. Of course they have some food that I don't even recognize as. Food ( COUNTRY STUFF I guess ) but the fried chicken ,mashed taters. And desert are all wonderful read more

Very good for a quick non-chain lunch driving through Georgia. Not gourmet or farm-to-table, but didn't seem overcooked. All you can eat, senior discount, buffet style means they can serve a lot of folks fast, big dining rooms. Fried okra, greens, cornbread, several meats, friendly waitress. Excellent! Good family home-style restaurants that serve real vegetables are hard to find, even in the south. Ole Times does it well. Okra, tomatoes, corn, squash, rice, fried chicken, pork chops, etc. It's all there and delicious. What seals the deal is Ole Times' famous lacy cornbread. Highly recommended. There are locations in Dublin & Warner Robins that I've visited and both are excellent. read more
