Absolutely awesome - the food is fresh, does not feel processed at all. The salsa does not taste to sodium filled. I have had the mulletas egg sandwich, the veggie tacos, the Quesadilla. Everything has been above par. Great service -- very family feeling. Good environment. They are ok with BYOB. Highly recommended, Great Value. We actually bought the Salsa and took it home. My first taste of Mexican since I left San Francisco and I'll definitely go back! The chips were light and tasty and the salsa had decent heat (although the tomatoes were a tad too mushy). I found the carnitas burrito to be flavorful and the accompanying chipolte sauce had a subtle kick. With little bites of veggies intermixed within, it was not your typical rice and beans with meat concoction. Now, I could see how some could see the burrito's as being undersized, but, I'm a pretty big guy and I left feeling satisfied. Plus, I think they're trying for taste over substance. read more

Camarones (shrimp burrito) was good, but compared to Sierra Grille's shrimp burrito, no competition. Their salsa is amazing! Very tasty! The staff is friendly and provides quick service. I was pleased to see that the owner contacted me, however she mistook my experience for that of someone else in the restaurant and apologized for an incident that didn't happen to me! Nevertheless, we gave Ole Mole's takeout service another try tonight, this time ordering from the website and then calling to confirm. I will say that the young lady that took my call was professional and conscientious, and made sure that our order and pickup time were accurate. Went to Ole Mole for a sit down dinner last night and it was absolutely the BEST. Customer service was great, the waiter was very attentive and courteous. The chips and salsa were delicious but definitely order guac too! I had the Carne Asada tacos with a side of rice and beans and it was all delicious. The meat was perfectly seasoned and not dry like I have had in other places. My sister had the Salpicon de Res burrito and she absolutely loved it! Also, it's been awhile since I have been here but very nicely surprised by the expansion and decor. I went to Olé Molé the other day with my parents. We love Mexican food and just moved to the area from Canada. Initial reaction was "Holy crap! Small restaurant!". Parking was limited, and they can only seat about 10-12 people. The second we walked in and said "to stay", the woman seating us pushed two tables together so that we could sit together while we ate. She brought us chips and salsa for the table, and even when waiting for our food, brought back another basket when we finished the first. I ordered a lemonade and the Enchilada Suiza [which is chicken enchilada with salsa verde and mole sauce], my mom ordered the fried plantain appetizer, and my dad ordered the burrito [not sure which kind]. First of all, the lemonade was amazing! I don't know what was in it, but it was the perfect blend of sweet and tangy and was just so delicious. Best lemonade I've had in a long while. The enchilada was SO GOOD! I was wary because I am not a chocolate person and have never tried mole sauce before, but I was pleasantly surprised. My meal came with the two enchiladas and a side plate of black beans, pinto beans and rice. The portions aren't huge, but it was just the right amount of food. Both of my parents loved their meals, as well. Overall, this is a hidden gem - it's a wonderful little restaurant and we will definitely be going back. read more

Then when we saw that there was spilled good all over the floor under the table and asked that someone cleanup / we were told we would have to wait as they were busy. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Stamford. First, the service is always excellent. They are courteous and attentive. Second, the food is delicious and always fresh. The menu has traditional authentic offerings but with a unique flair. We've eaten there several times and never ordered anything we didn't like. Wow - We stopped for dinner as a break from our long drive during a snow storm on the day after Christmas. As you can imagine, the Merritt was moving at 5 mph. This is exactly what we needed!! Ole Mole is a small 10-seat store front, and doesn't look particularly impressive from the outside, but wow the food was great! I had the Enchiladas Suizas, recommended by Angela (Thanks Angela!). The visual appeal was wonderful with green salsa verde and red corn tortillas. The flavor was amazing. The chips and salsa beforehand were a mixed bag. The chips were a little flat, but the pico de gallo salsa made up for it. My wife had Carne Asada tacos. Very simple, with an unusual presentation of a feta-like cheese rather than cheddar. Delicious and miles better than what you will get at a chain Mexican restaurant. This may not be a location for a romantic date but if you want a simple meal that is full of flavor, stop by for a great meal. read more

I just had my birthday party catered by Ole Mole and I was so happy I did! All my friends raved how delicious everything was. Laura the owner was so great in helping me choose the menu to serve to my guests. We had shrimp mojo de ajo skewers, empanadas and chips and salsa for appetizers then their famous enchilada suizas, steak fajitas, rice and beans for dinner. The apps were hot when we picked them up and the enchiladas, fajitas, rice and beans came with detailed instructions on how to reheat and serve.
