Nice dainty coffee house that serves flavored breads and true grilled sandwiches that whet the appetite. Recommended by a good friend who is a coffee aficionado. True to his recommendation, this coffee house serves one of the best tasting coffees. I ordered an Americano. At once I can taste the perfect roast and the acidity is spot on. read more

Superb!!! 1st discovered Old Hand at their previous location. The new space is an improvement in terms of both space & parking though, because of their popularity, the café can be pleasantly crowded. (While a diverse crowd - "the Hipsters" definitely do like this joint.) This is not for the "coffee-on-the-go crowd". The excellent flavour of Old Hand coffee is best appreciated savoured slow, sitting down with a good friend or a book. Their savoury baking is exceptional as are their sweet baked goods. The staff are always polite, friendly, and efficient. The owners have sought to "honour European traditions of nurturing social bonds through the enjoyment of artfully prepared food and drink". They have definitely hit the mark. If you appreciate exceptional coffee & tasty baked goods - go - you will not be disappointed. read more

i go to abbotsford all the time and wanted to find a coffee shop that wasn't starbucks. i found oldhand on yelp and i've been going there ever since. they're iced cappuccino is amazing, along with their earl grey cookies. i've also been searching for an elderflower liqueur and to my surprise they had it. i bring all my friends here & they always love it. read more

My favourite coffee shop, "old hands" down. They make a mean almond milk latte - always smooth and tasty. The decor is cute and very vintage, giving the place a really great atmosphere. Servers are always friendly. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that they only have 1 gluten-free baked snack, and my hubby says the other food is "just ok." read more

Next to nothing for GF folks. The other stuff looks dry and boring. The place itself is somewhat welcoming in ambiance though.

Great little local independent coffee shop. I have been to their old location and new. After moving, they have still retained their charm. The decor is a mix of vintage, recycled furniture that looks like it belonged in a elementary school from a generation ago. The mismatched plates and cups goes with the theme. The only item missing is a fireplace. The coffee and lattes here are a real treat. As far as food goes, their sweet treats are more palatable then the savory ones(although they used to have a pizza at their old location which was really good) I really enjoy the cookies and donuts that they sell here. The prices are more than your local Tim Horton's but worth the treat. read more

Oldhand - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Abbotsford, British Columbia

Without a doubt, the best non-franchised coffee shop in Abbotsford. The store has got a retro look and feel, which seems to fit the owners well. Service is good; it's sometimes hard to tell staff from customers. My only major gripe is that the coffee is not that great, especially for the price. I think it's about a $3 for a small, and its not as good as Starbuck's Pike roast (which about $2.10), or the coffee I brew at home. It is slightly crowded sometimes. I wish they could expand into the two adjacent buildings. As for the pastry, I've not tried them, but they certainly smell good. I recommend checking out. It's a great place to catch up with an old friend or read a book. read more

I came to the place with standard to low expectations, hoping that the they can make a half decent latte and had my mind blown by how good it was. I was cautiously watching then make the espresso looking for the signs of a skilled barrista but couldn't see either way immediately. I was then stunned to see an aeropress which is highly regarded by coffee snobs online. Then another surprise was the porlex grinder I have which is also highly regarded as rivalling coffee graders several times more expensive with the one drawback of it being hand powered. I got the first flat white that I have gotten. that is an Australian drink that I saw on a Starbucks sign once. it was a short little drink that was one of the best coffees I've had in Vancouver on par with elysian, parallel 49, and moja. they truly have the love of coffee that you hope to see in every coffee shop you go into. read more

Haiku Review Abbotsford Coffee. Tim Hortons? Maybe Starbucks? No! Come here! Right now! Abbotsford has been waiting many, many years for a place like this. They'd be coffee snobs if they weren't so friendly and down to earth. Earthy. These people live, breath good coffee and fine baking. Ask them anything. The baked goods are like: If your grandma teamed up with Frank Payard. So yum yum. read more

There baked goods are great. Their coffee size is a joke. I ordered a cappuccino to go; 200ml for 4$ No clue why you would go here over other coffee shops. Makes Starbuck's look cheap. You go to these places to support the small guy not to feel ripped off. Will not be going again. read more

Oldhand - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Abbotsford, British Columbia

Love the Oldhand kids & learned pretty much everything I know about coffee from these two. Hand-pressed aeropress coffee with perfect temp and perfectly WEIGHED water--yes, Jo weighs his water so it's a perfect press every time. And the food! You know how Starbucks has packaged stuff from...somewhere at all their stores? Yeah, this is the opposite. Baked onsite every morning and you can taste every mile it DIDN'T travel to get to your plate. Seriously, just go--you'll love it. read more

Stop in here at least once a week, staff is always super friendly and helpful and the baking to second to none!

An okay cafe. Not a lot of selection but it's right next to my salon so I can't complain about that.

The most amazing breakfast sandwich and cup tea EVER!!! Mine was pesto & tomato on a pretzel bun and my husband's was bacon cheddar on pretzel bun. So fresh. So salty. So yummy. Highly recommend this adorable down-home shoppe. read more

Amazing coffee with great food, Highly recommend this spot ! Best Abbotsford's got!

Took my Niece here and we enjoyed it. The pastry are amazingly good! The coffee is fabulous! read more

Oldhand - Old Hand Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Abbotsford, British Columbia

Delicious coffee and warm atmosphere! My favourite coffee shop in Abbotsford. Love all the extras they have in store as well from wine to hummus and decadent baked goods! read more

I've come here a couple times so far and each time the drinks I've ordered have been amazing. Come to Oldhand for excellently brewed coffee and super friendly staff. Inside is a spacious seating area full of light and cozy vibes. Next time I stop in I am looking forward to trying their baked goods. Only reason they are getting four stars? Parking. It's confusing, it's small, it sucks. Coffee is amazing, though. :) Did I mention they have almond milk? read more

Great decor and wonderful drinks. Depending on the pastry you get, they are average. The pretzel is really good but everything else is so so. The last time we went they forgot my husband's drink and the cookie was stale. The atmosphere is pretty polarizing too. It was so loud we couldn't even hear each other when we were right across from one another. I hate to be "that person", but honestly, it's very much a hipster coffee shop, so if you want your coffee served to you in a beaker, it's your place. It's expensive for what you get. A different time we went I had ordered orange juice, it was over $4 for a small cup and it was poured in front of me from a cardboard container. When I'm craving the chai milkshakes I'll get them to go, but I definitely won't stay. read more

Oldhand is likely the best coffee spot in Abbotsford. Good baking and incredible quality coffee... nitro brew, cappuccino... and their London Fog (which I have now had numerous times with almond milk) is abso-flipping-lutely amazing! And I don't usually go for London Fogs, but was there on a day when I'd already drank a boatload of coffee and wanted something different. Bam! I'm hooked! read more

Great coffee and service. Staff was kind and helpful for making a selection! They had GF, vegan and DF options for their pastries. Kalita drop was great! Would definitely go back! Not sure about WiFi but there were people on computers working when I was there! read more

Love Old hand! It's this cute little coffee shop with a great selection of drinks and baked good. There is an adequate amount of seating and even a section for larger groups and long tables for individuals. I got the London fog and it was so delicious. I love that it came with a long tea bag to prevent it being in the way while I was drinking it. read more

OldHand is a really charming hipster coffee shop with lovely owners. Their baking is exceptionally good. I love their blueberry scones, pop tarts, and thumbprint cookies. They have a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, but I'm boring and stick to a latte or cold cappuccino. read more

Definitely on the hipster side, but the coffee and drinks and food are worth it. Also, they make their own mustard with their homemade pretzels, and sell it separately. That mustard is so good France refuses to even acknowledge Abbotsford's existence as a coping mechanism. read more

Friendly local staff! And the coffee is delicious! Try the peppermint mocha so tasty yet not sickenly sweet!

Amazing atmosphere. Great coffee, and baked goods. Environment is very inclusive, which is really important to me. Lastly the aesthetic is pleasing to the eye read more

Decent coffee and baking. Possibly trying to hard too meet the minimalist trend. Kind of annoying. Used to be a great cafe till it converted to a day care. read more

The coffee tastes really good. I followed the yelp reviews and I am so glad that I have tried. So tired of Tim's and Starbucks coffee. Always want to look for some local good ones. This is definitely the place you shall visit if you are here. I drove a long way to drop off my boy for a four hour exam. Now, definitely worth it. read more

Came here a few years ago on the way to Bumbershoot across the border with Friends. It's one of the few hipster coffee shops in the area and more likely the only one (?). I came here to get a latte. The latte was good. The customer service was good. There was some treats, something to tie me over until the next stop. read more

Every time we're in Abby this is the place we go for coffee. Hands down the best we've found up here. Great service and the pastries rule, bit come early for those! read more

Oldhand - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Abbotsford, British Columbia

Just ate a apple fritter and It was amazing. Best apple fritter I have eaten! Mocha was very good.

My first visit was today. I had a hot chocolate and the chicken and bacon sandwich. Everything tasted great. I can tell they make as much in house as possible. I will be going back. read more

Not my favourite, but super cute and a couple very good items. The ambiance is amazing(great place for pictures!!) but the coffee products are very watery. The food is okay, and the staff are pretty friendly and do nice latte art. I go there more for the cuteness of the place than the products they sell. read more

Coffee is not good at all. The size is terrible for the price. Caters to millennial types I think. Green onion scones are good

Best coffee in Abbotsford. Great baking and tasty treats. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.

I'm seldom in Abbotsford but I can tell you, it might become a destination for me because of this coffee shop. The coffee beans are top quality, the prep is perfect and the bakery items to die for. I am a coffee snob so have been to many many coffee shops. This one is excellent in all ways. read more

Very comfy environment and I loved the beetroot latte. I am recomeding this to friends for a great place to chill.

Great atmosphere, a little pricey, but the drinks/food are fantastic. Great staff, but can be very busy during the day. It's also nearly impossible to find a plug in for a laptop/phone for studying, but that's not a deal breaker. read more

Love this place! Delicious coffee and baked goodies! Always friendly service. A nice treat!

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Delicious treats! Amazing coffee. Friendly staff. Lemon filled skol bun is my favourite.
