When I went there, however, I was a little disappointed that it was not as extravagant as I was hoping. Their choices in baked goods were very scarce. When I arrived there I found out that they do not serve their breakfast/lunch menu, but instead the daily special advertisement from their indoor sign. I ordered the Mozzarella & Caramelized Onions Focaccia bread and their cappuccino. The focaccia was great with the caramelized onions adding succulence and flavour that stood out. The cappuccino was good, nothing special though. I also had their Almond Butter cake, which was good as well if not a little solid to eat. There was not much to talk about the interior ambiance of the café and there was not much space inside, unless you go to the back of the café. The staff was very courteous in serving me and has a good deal of knowledge about their business. My experience at the Duft & Co Bakehouse was pretty good, and I would like to give them another try. However, it will be a while because of their obscured business hours would be hard for me to come around.

I've been dying to try this bakery for awhile and each time I have failed and it's no one's fault but mine since they were either sold out or I came on a day they were closed. So this day I planned ahead. I got there ten minutes before opening which always makes me feel awkward but a line was already formed outside. Once they opened you go in and are greeted with a wide array of pastries and baked goods. I picked quite a few but will say that I'm biased as I went to pastry school and well this was the best croissant I've ever had. It was flaky on the outside and nice and buttery on the inside. You can tell that they worked hard on these and laminated them perfectly. The coffee was good too but the pastries stole the show and I will be back.

The cappuccino was strong yet very good. The establishment was pretty modern looking with mild lighting and had a very relaxing aura to it. Even on a Sunday, it was not too busy or crowded when I stayed there. When I came there a second time, I have ordered the Avocado Waffle from their breakfast menu that has recently introduced. I also ordered it with the Spanish Latte.The latte was fantastic and did not require sugar for flavouring. The waffle was soft and crunchy like good waffles should be while the avocado was surprisingly good on the waffle. The Hollandaise sauce that came with the entrée on the side was exuberant. The Polly Fox is an amazing café best enjoyed during breakfast or brunch, so you could try their breakfast menu. Even then, their coffee concoctions and unique baked goods are worth trying. Highly recommend this place.

But heavy as a brick, with no bubbles in it and, worst of all, not crispy exterior. False advertising or wishful thinking, but deffo not a baguette!

Their cafe menu is also very reasonably priced and they have the cutest glassware if you stay for your drink. We ordered a blueberry matcha and an espresso tonic and enjoyed both very much. Definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Abbotsford!!

We also had the affogato over the 'sweet cream' flavored ice cream. A perfect end to an evening. The ice creams are all made here with cream from a local dairy. Highly recommended!

Even the hashbrowns were great on their own. I also had their Mennonite Poutine, which is highly recommended by their waitresses. The Schamaunt Fat sauce is very unique in taste and the Rempel's sausage is so good that I would want to buy the meat myself. Then again it was Sunday and the place was almost deserted, so the server was probably fairly bored. Decor is nothing special, although there are a few couches hidden away at the back. If I was in the area again and needed a coffee or tea I'd go on in, but I wouldn't make a special visit.

The main thing to get from here is just coffee or dessert if something catches your eye. The location is also nice. Otherwise I'd suggest Afterthoughts, or Mitch Miller's across the street.
