Smoking Gun Coffee has been on my list for a while, and we just happens to be in Chilliwack meeting up with some friends. The breakfast food options were also very popular as most of the tables had some form of breakfast eats. We tried the Toffee Date Latte and Gold Rush Honey Frappe. Toffee Date had the right amount of sweet (not too sweet and didn't need any extra). By the end of my drink there were dredges of minced date at the bottom of my cup. The Gold Rush Honey Frappe tasted light and not coffee forward. I did love the crushed honey comb on top of it. I also bought a bag of decaf. Because supporting small Canadian businesses that are doing something great is important. The staff were quick and friendly. Go check them and the rest of the 1881 District if you're there. I was impressed by the interior design. It was contemporary similar to the one in Greater Vancouver. I didn't expect to something like this in Chilliwack. Everything looks commercialized. Coffee beans were packaged in a very nice bag. Food was slightly cheaper than ones in Vancouver which was great for the customers in Chilliwack. The latte that I order tasted great. The customers filled the space quickly. I am sure they also enjoyed the coffee and vibe here. When I came as an Oscar party guest, I was given a Charcutier plate and a glass of wine when I gave them my ticket. They were a great appetizer. As for their menu choices I had the Salted Vanilla Bean Latte. The drink was fantastic and did not need any added sugar for taste. I also had their Cortado, and I found it strong yet flavourful. I had their Cookies'n'Cream cake, which I found very rich yet enjoyable throughout eating it. The interior of the cafe is very modern-looking with a lot of space. I like the mild lighting inside the business and the fact that they use garden lights and antiquated furniture adds some hospitable quality to it. If walking towards the back, there's even a little stream. Heading down the stairs, I noticed there is also an indoor seating area. Would have stayed to enjoy the ambience, but since we had to get to the next city, didn't have the chance. Their menu is pretty extensive with lots of seasonal specials and there were also baked goods. I get why this is considered a hidden gem, but can also see it being very popular and busy in the summer. Pretty easy to get to as it's a short drive down a road beside the highway.

This business is a hotspot for special events as well with a bulletin board in the back telling you what is happening.
