matcha slush samples from manager
Leeza N.

Really great coffee and pastries! Prices are amazingly affordable and the quality of the drinks are great. The manager was so kind he even came out with a round of matcha slush samples for us to try and it was perfect on a hot sunny day. Staff was also kind and sweet as well!

As usual, this place is amazing! Was passing through and stopped by for a coffee. Excellent cup of latte, friendly service and packed with beautiful energy and just good vibes. Love it!

Flat white. It's decent.

Nice spacious coffee shop in the District 1881 area. I had the flat white and it was decent. Strong coffee. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Good to sit outside if the weather is sunny and you like people watching. Washrooms require code. Get it from the staff.

I visited District 1881 in Downtown Chilliwack. This historic building site features unique restaurants, coffee shops, office spaces, breweries, and retail shops. Although it's a small area, I really enjoyed exploring the shopping district. I found a coffee shop and ordered a matcha latte. The interior was nice and cozy. My latte had a strong matcha flavor with perfect sweetness. After enjoying my latte at Smoking Gun, I walked around and found an Italian coffee shop called Azzurri, where I grabbed a cannoli. I also got a pizza at Elevated Pizza. Unfortunately, I could not find these two locations on Yelp, but I just want to mention these two fantastic places. It was such a fun day walking around District 1881. It is a nice place for a short trip from Vancouver. Next time, I would like to try some of the restaurants.

We had a great time getting some snacks and coffee here at Smoking Gun. The coffee is amazing and the service was so friendly and fast. Definitely would recommend checking this place out again!

Really enjoyed the coffee! The staff were friendly and helpful We got the Espresso & Tonic and iced latte It was a very warm summer afternoon, so the Espresso Tonic was perfect and refreshing ! Here at Smoking Gun, they added a slice of dried orange and a basil leaf to bring out the floral notes. We got a couple bags of the coffee to bring home and as a gift to our family The seating area is also very comfortable to enjoy the coffee. I can't wait to be back or I would order the coffee online (free shipping for orders over $75)

Love the decor and ambiance. Went on the weekend so it was really busy however the line went by fast. Got a matcha latte and loved how it comes with sweetener without additional charge. I do wish the latte came hot instead of warm temperature.

Great coffee. Sometimes that make the Cappuccino Flat White, which is wrong but you can have it both ways

Espresso tonic and some Smoking Gun coffee beans

A huge fan of this new coffee roaster in Chilliwack and definitely right up there with the ones in Vancouver. Super friendly staff and a lovely cafe seating room that is bright and welcoming. We got a espresso tonic to go and it was ! Highly recommend and will definitely be back even though it is a bit of a trek!

But the reviews were good and it had a big menu. Walking in, we were greeted with a table filled with fresh baked bread for sale, and a display case full of cakes. The server welcomed us in - they were quite busy, but there was a large empty table in the middle of the room that we were able to sit at. I think the server's name was Cass - but I can't quite recall. Once she learned that it was our first time there, she gave us the full run down: All the bread is made in house The cakes are all Grammy's recipes, which she taught to her niece All the meat is cooked or smoked in house and - ham, turkey, beef etc The menu is large - almost overwhelming, but in a good way. Almost everything comes in half or full. I can't imagine anyone finishing a full meal here - their slogan is "bigger is better" and they really mean it. None of us were able to finish our meals and were left with the perfect amount for dinner later that evening. I ordered Whole Wheat toast with my breakfast and I'm not kidding when I say that it was the best toast I've ever had. I definitely would have bought a loaf to take home but you have to pre-order that one and it's only available on Thursdays :( Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go back!

This place is one of the best "hole in the wall" restaurants I've been too. I definitely recommend. Staff are amazing and ready with suggestions just in case you feel overwhelmed by the amount of good options on the menu. .

I wanted to like Cultivate more than I did. But I think I'd give them a solid 3.5 stars, and here's…read morewhy. Firstly, it's a really cute space. Cafes attached to garden stores are such a vibe, and it was quite spacious as well. The service was friendly too! The food was alright. I really liked the tomato jam on the breakfast sandwich, and the pork belly was quite tender, but I found that it was lacking in variety of texture and didn't quite have the punches of flavor I was hoping for. The veggie hash was also not super memorable--I wished the potatoes had been crispier or had more color/flavor. The patio area outside was nice to sit in for the morning, however, so it wouldn't be a bad place to have an iced coffee after perusing the plants if you were already in the area.

They have lots of vegan options, so this is what attracted us to the place. I got the vegan hash ($13 plus tax) and my wife got the vegan sandwich ($12.50 plus tax). The food came out in 10 minutes. The vegan hash was pretty solid. Lots of potatoes provide the base, accompanied by tofu, spinach, cherry tomatoes, red pepper and onions, and dressed with a red pepper coulis. I would have liked a larger portion, as I was hungry again a couple hours later, but I was happy with the quality -- and it was a pretty healthy dish. 4/5 My wife also enjoyed her vegan sandwich, which was pretty simply, but came on nice bread and had enough interesting things on it to be satisfying. The accompanying slaw was also quite nice. 3.5/5 The service was extremely nice -- they gave us a free vegan Nanaimo bar (quite tasty) because a bit of the sandwich fell onto the table as the server placed in down. Solid spot. I'd return when in Chilliwack.
