The server welcomed us in - they were quite busy, but there was a large empty table in the middle of the room that we were able to sit at. I think the server's name was Cass - but I can't quite recall. Once she learned that it was our first time there, she gave us the full run down: All the bread is made in house The cakes are all Grammy's recipes, which she taught to her niece All the meat is cooked or smoked in house and - ham, turkey, beef etc The menu is large - almost overwhelming, but in a good way. Almost everything comes in half or full. I can't imagine anyone finishing a full meal here - their slogan is "bigger is better" and they really mean it. None of us were able to finish our meals and were left with the perfect amount for dinner later that evening. I ordered Whole Wheat toast with my breakfast and I'm not kidding when I say that it was the best toast I've ever had. I definitely would have bought a loaf to take home but you have to pre-order that one and it's only available on Thursdays :( Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go back!

The veggie hash was also not super memorable--I wished the potatoes had been crispier or had more color/flavor.
