    Great spot!

The food is always excellent, and the old school cars everywhere make it a entertaining environment to have a great meal in!

Let me start with the negatives. I'm a fan of fountain sodas and free refills, but Ann Marie's sold sodas in cans (but points redeemed for being poured in the glass with ice and a "retro" straw). I was heading to Abby for an errand and was hungry so looked for somewhere to eat that wasn't a chain or something I'd get at home. I found this place on Yelp and eventually physically found it - it's kinda tucked away around the corner. I was seated quickly and soon thereafter ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich (at 10:30 a.m.). Food came very quickly, not even factoring it was the in between of lunch and breakfast, so the grill was working great to please all customers. Sandwich was good. Not spectacular but lived up to expectations. Fries seemed to be battered or twice fried or something - very tasty. I was in and out in just over a half hour. Fantastic find, thanks Yelp, and thank you Ann Marie. This is now on my radar.

Dishes not usually found elsewhere, or they add their own twist to common dishes. We love that The Cuban Ruben was incredible ! My wife really like her burger

I wish I had known about Ann Marie's Cafe sooner, or I would have came there more often. This restaurant has been in Abbotsford since the early 2000s, and I have not known about it since it was easy to miss. This is a notable 50s nostalgia diner with delicious food. I ordered the daily special which was the Blueberry Pancakes with Bacon and Eggs. The pancakes were fantastic, bacon was cooked to perfection and the scrambled eggs are piquant on their own. The coffee was good and fresh. The choices of beverages ranges from coffee and milkshakes to alcoholic versions of those choices and seasonal selections of beer. I like the service there too and had no reason to complain about it. The 50s decor is at a bare minimum, but is still eye-catching. The parking space is at bare minimum, since this restaurant is located in an obscured part of town. I look forward to coming back to Ann Marie's

Delicious pulled pork eggs Benedict! Husband said his burger was decent, but the fries were great. It's a small space and you have to get on the waitlist to get a table.

We came here for brunch on a Saturday and there was about a 30 min wait. They take your name outside and will call you when your table is ready. The interior reminded me of an old school diner and the food was delicious and homey! Covid protocols were top notch. All the servers were wearing masks, tables were physically distanced, and I saw multiple cleanings taking place. Even when I paid, the machine was wiped before it was given to me. There were lots of room to move between tables and a door for entrance and exit. A huge kudos to their covid protocols as it was one of the best that I have seen so far.

Food is always tasty at Ann Marie's. This was no exception. Had the Mountain Burger with fries, which were dynamite. My wife had the Monte Cristo, which she loved. The burger was very good--super fresh toppings. The only drawback was that the meat was clearly cooked from a frozen patty. This is disappointing because literally everything else feels fresh and scratch made. Even so, Ann Marie's remains a favourite for us.

Great menu. Tiptop service. Very popular. A bit noisy. Good for families. Especially good breakfast and brunch. Thumbs up!

I am not going to talk about the delicious food here, because that part is already well understood…read more Instead, I want to highlight a few things that, as diners, we often take for granted and sometimes overlook. Consistency I have been coming here randomly about six times since they opened, and that consistency is impressive. Portions are steady, service feels genuine, and every dish arriving at the table shows care. Nothing pretentious, just honest food that makes you smile and feel comfortable. Creativity, done right There is a clear respect for classic dishes, and that is not easy to pull off. The kitchen hits the right notes without overcomplicating things. The cioppino stood out in particular, a humble yet elegant seafood broth I have only ever tried in San Francisco, the birthplace of the dish. The resemblance was remarkable, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. I felt the same attention in the chowder and even in the cocktails, where every spice and component seems thoughtfully chosen to deliver a specific experience. Care and attention to detail This one is easy to notice. The owner is present, engaged, and clearly invested. You can tell when someone genuinely cares and takes pride in what they are doing, without big fuss or trying to be something they are not. That care carries through the room, the bar, and the overall atmosphere. Comfortable, polished, and welcoming. Point of improvement One small area where the experience could be elevated even further is service etiquette. Simple refinements, such as how drinks are poured or placed on the table, could enhance the customer experience and better match the level of care coming from the kitchen. These are small, easy-to-train details, but they make a noticeable difference. Overall, this is a hidden gem in Abbotsford that deserves to be discovered. A place that earns your trust quietly and keeps you coming back for all the right reasons.
