I had the best moving experience with Olde World Movers! I have moved at least 15 times over the years and I am always leary of hiring a moving company because of the horror stories you always hear. My daughter & her husband hired Olde World Movers to handle their move from the Dallas area to the Houston area and had rave reviews about the service. So naturally, when it came time for me to move, I called Erich to give me a quote. He came right out, on time and was very knowledgable and friendly. Olde World Movers is the only company out of three that I called who gave me a written quote and a not to excede amount as well. Erich also told me about the coupon on YELP to help me save some of my hard earned money. And anyone who has moved knows that every penny counts during a time like this! When my moving day came, the movers were early (very uncommon), listened to the instructions I had and went over the paperwork I needed to sign. Jason assured me of what I could expect from him and his team during the move and they were all very professional. I like the fact that Jason had been working with the company for 13 years and all three men had their names embroirded on their shirts. This let me know they "worked" for the company and were not just a hired hand for the day. All three men Jason, Joe & Chad were very careful to wrap all of my furniture, bedding, tables and anything that needed extra padding. They were super fast and had the truck loaded in no time! Once we made it to my new place, they were just as fast and made sure that everthing was in the correct place I needed it to be AND finished the job a few hours earlier than expected! I was very impressed with the care they took with my belongings and they were also thoughtful of my time and money spent. I would definitely recommend Old World Movers to anyone that needs a move locally or out of town. **Matt** and **Justin** were absolutely incredible! They called on their way to update me and they were a few minutes early so everything was set up to start right on time! They were very fast and efficient and easy to explain what and where stuff was going or not going. They were very clear and explained everything we needed to know. They took GREAT care of our belongings! Everything was loaded and unloaded (to the THIRD floor) to perfection. They also showed up within 5 minutes of us getting to our new location despite basically driving a full 18 wheeler, so they didn't try and add time by driving around! Not to mention, it just so happen (of course) to be the hottest day of the year so far and was brutally humid and these guys did NOT skip a beat. I was actually worried they were working TOO hard but not once did they show any signs of negative attitude. They were just as friendly when they arrived to when they were driving away. It ended up taking almost six hours because I have way too much stuff but if it had been any other company with any other guys but Matt and Justin it could have been a 10 hour job! They seriously crushed it! What I couldn't believe is they left straight for another move they had! I have NO idea how they do it. But I will never use any other moving company again as long as I live and anyone I know that needs this work will get a strong recommendation for these guys! I couldn't be more serious when I say this was the best service I have ever gotten from any type of company I have needed for anything. I plan on calling the company and personally letting them know they have some stellar employees with Matt and Justin! Also, they were the best price by FAR. I talked to 7 (SEVEN) other companies and was quoted anywhere from $125 to $425 MORE for the exact same job! Ps- If you get service like this, which I assume you will undoubtedly will, TIP these guys! They definitely deserve it! I have moved at least 15 times in my career, and many were local moves, like the type we hired Olde World to perform. This was by far, the most unprofessional mover I have worked with. I got an estimate online. From that estimate, we sold a refrigerator, a sofa and a bedroom set. We added a BBQ grill and a 50cc scooter. The movers said they would substitute the changes at no charge. Fine, I thought. When the movers arrived, they were quite rude. The foreman actually mentioned my tipping them when they were finished. Well it took these movers 6.5 hours to move less than 4000 pounds of goods and my $400 move turned into $656.00. I had a cross-town move like this one 2 years ago, and it took another mover 4 hours to move 6000 pounds. This crew was slow, rude and unprofessional. The office staff was disorganized at best. I had to call 3 times to get this lousy move scheduled in the first place. I do NOT recommend Olde World Movers. read more

From the lady who provided the quote to the crew who packed us (Michael, Matt, Patrick and one other gentleman whose name I cannot remember even though he introduced himself as did all of both crews) to the crew who loaded us and moved us (Cooper, Darrin, Robert, Matt, James and Travis), I cannot say enough good things about this company and their employees. They were willing to work around us - having to pack on a Thursday, but leave us with enough stuff out to be able to live in the house - and coming out early on Monday to load everything up. Everything was packed and stacked well from packing day - with a very efficient and professional crew. And moving day went like clockwork - arrived on time, worked quickly but carefully, loaded us up, went by a storage facility to get more stuff to load, unloaded efficiently and carefully. My family and I have been through quite a lot the last few months. We have lost family, and the process of buying our first home has been one of nightmares. As long as it has taken to get here, seemingly never coming, the process in the end was so quick, it took us by surprise. We closed on our home on Thursday and needed to move no later than Sunday. We got a few quotes, we talked to a few people, and we narrowed it down. We chose a company that would move us on Sunday. Then, my wife just happened to notice these guys. Gave them a call, and poof, Friday, we're moved. Randy, Joe, and Chad showed up and never stopped from start to finish. Moving from 75051 to 75169 (1900 sq ft house), they got us done in about 7 hours total. Protected our items very well and worked very hard. These guys deserve a raise. First off I've never used a moving service before, but I had to have my elderly mother moved to Hurst from Denver. We chose Olde World Movers because they had been in business for a long time, and were not a fly-by-night company. They went up to Denver, and they packed everything for my mother. She called us periodically through the day telling us how polite the men were, and how safe she felt with them. Over the next few days they drove down to Hurst, and I was amazed that nothing was damaged through the trip. They were so fast and careful when unloading her belongings in our house, but they were also very quick. This looked to be an undo-able task, but Olde World Movers really helped my family. This was my second move with Olde World Movers and it was smooth sailing. Everyone from Conrad, who came to my house to give me an estimate, to Sheila who helped me schedule dates, to the packers, to the movers, to the crew that helped me unpack, Nate and Chris. They were all so professional and helpful and worked really hard to get the move done properly. Everything was packed very well and nothing was lost or damaged. I was very impressed that the crew this move was mostly the same as the crew that moved me five years ago. That makes me think that the owner, Erich, is taking good care of his employees. We had our move today and, although it was a long day, I couldn't let my head hit the pillow without leaving a review. When you have great service, which is hard to find these days, you have to let everyone know! Our team: Q, Matt, Tyler, Stanley, and Richard were all amazing! They were professional, they took care of our items, they had great attitudes, and most importantly for us, they took great care in protecting our brand new floors and freshly painted walls. No items were damaged (and we had a 5 bedroom house worth of items), no scratches on the floor, no marks on the walls. I've never had a moving crew take such great care. Olde world moved me back into the Dallas area a couple of weeks ago, after a few years away. I'm stoked to be back and very pleased with the all-around performance of this company. They arrived at my apartment, in Houston, in the morning (9ish) and they were finished loading by midafternoon and on our way to Dallas. I was very happy when the guys decided to tough it out after a long day and unload that evening. I was all squared away in my new place by that night. This was my second time using movers too and OWM were GREAT! I recommend them to anyone. The final bill was more than the bid, but the overage was understandable...(hourly rate x total hours worked). And these guys WORKED!!! 4 guys 2 trucks at our house and ready to go. Nathan, Chris, Lonnie and (one more I can't recall) are professional and the hardest working guys I have ever met. They only stopped for a quick lunch, no other breaks!!! I was more than happy to pay their bill. Best part - nothing was broken!!! I don't want to move again anytime soon. Words can not describe how thankful we are for olde world movers! Metro relief is a non profit organization that helps feed the homeless, and also has a food pantry. We were moving to a larger building and olde world movers was kind enough to donate a truck and several movers to help us out. If it were not for their generosity the move would have taken us days, but with them it only took a few hours. Chris, John, and Parker did such a great job and were so nice! Olde World Movers was the only one with 4.5 stars plus, so I tried them. From the booking to the movers, lowest price I was quoted by many, no switch and bait and no gimmicks, it was easy and so professional. Domingo, Dallas, Eddie, Kim and Dean lived up to our expectations. They were professional, helpful and expeditious at all times even when there was an unusually heavy item to move(see picture of our grand baby's 350 pound lion Aslon). We have used Olde World Movers in the past so their was no question who would move us from McKinney to Conroe with storage in their warehouse for five months to allow completion of our new home. The crew at OWM were great from beginning to end! They showed up on time, managed to pack all of our stuff into their two trucks (I was amazed when I saw the two trucks packed), and got everything off the truck and into the right places. ??They even disassembled and re-assembled our bed and guest room day bed. I could go on and on with how impressed I am with Olde World Movers!! Used them from my recent move from Fort Worth to Dallas on 6/18/18. They arrived on time, loaded up, and hit the road for Dallas! Best movers EVER! I can't say enough about how easy Olde World Movers made our move. They shrink wrapped our dressers so we didn't even have to box up our clothes then everything got a blanket taped on for padding. The guys were professional and friendly and extremely careful of our walls and woodwork. They got our treadmill up a curved staircase and around a tight turn which was nothing short of miracle in my opinion. Our packers and movers were great. all of them were friendly and personable and worked hard and did whatever we requested. Our packers were Marian, Johnnie, and Parker. Our movers were led by Nathan and included Chris, Christian, John, Parker, and Ben. Everyone worked hard and were very friendly and personable.
