We've eaten here several times and it never disappoints. The old-fashioned salad bar is always a must for us. This time we had the ribeye and filet, and both were cooked perfectly. I am EXTREMELY picky about food..cleanliness and ambiance...that being said... this place hits all 3 100%!!! About the 8th time I've eaten there..the filet mignon absolutely perfect..I probably could have cut it with my fork!! Also..observing the Chef... obviously very careful of how he handled the food..utensils,ect.! As was like each time I've been there... now I know for sure this is how this establishment is run...the floors were as clean as the walls... Super cute place we tried for date night! Not a place to go if you're in a rush. The steaks are prepared with love! Our steaks came with a baked potato, Texas toast and the salad bar. 10/10 recommend the homemade ranch... sooo good! I got the filet butterflied. Next time I won't get it butterflied. Lastly, we finished with the Hershey bar cake... delish! We ate it so fast I couldn't get a pic. Super cute atmosphere. Service was great. Friendly staff. Service was excellent and steaks were cooked perfectly. I had the 10oz Aged Ribeye cooked 'Pittsburg' style (in cast iron skillet) medium rare and it was great ! Steak was a bit thin for my liking as I prefer a thicker cut of meat, but "temperature and flavor" were spot on. Would be nice if you could get sweet potato in addition to baked potato and the option of a "grilled sweet onion" would be tremendous. Highly recommend trying this place. Price is on par with some other higher end steak houses but for a custom cooked steak prepared right in front of you, it's not to bad ($ wise). Very good selection of "the brown juice" if whiskey drinks are your passion. read more

My wife and I had heard about Olde Towne Steakhouse and decided to give it a try. Walking in the door you immediately notice the decor - the walls have shelves filled with pop antiques - certain to bring back fun memories to those of a certain age. The classic country music fits perfectly. The offers various sized Angus steak with salad bar, baked potato and Texas Toast. If you want something else, then you might want to go somewhere else. If you're of the mind that there's a certain charm about a place that does one thing and one thing well, then this is your place. The salad bar wasn't overly large, but the toppings were sufficient and everything was fresh and crispy. But, then, the salad bar isn't why we go to a steakhouse, is it? At OTS, the steaks are the prime attraction, and ours were delicious. My wife and both got the 10-oz steak, her medium well and mine medium rare, and we agreed that they were not only delicious, but might have been the best we've ever had. The staff was not only attentive, but had a demeanor that made us feel like we were with friends. I have mixed feelings about giving this hidden gem a great review - selfishly I like for it to stay hidden - but I have to be honest and say this was a great place for us and we can't wait to go back. read more

This is a small steakhouse in a small town. It was perfect. When you walk in you sit wherever you would like. They have a small menu and you pick steak or pork chop with baked potato and salad. Both steaks that were ordered were cooked perfectly! My husband is a tough food critic because he used to work in the food industry for over 20 years. He even said he would come back and get a steak here! Some people say it is a bit pricey but isn't everything these days? I don't mind paying for good food and great service! We visited Olde Towne Steakhouse Saturday night and had a fantastic dinner. Luckily, we had made reservations earlier in the week (they only have seating for 60-75) and were seated as soon as we walked in the door. Being a steakhouse, they specialize in steaks (rib-eyes and fillets), but they also offer a grilled porkchop. All entrees come with grilled Texas Toast, baked potato and their salad bar. The salad bar is full of freshly prepped lettuce, toppings and dressings. Our steaks were cooked perfectly (medium rare) and full of flavor. Although the food was delicious, what impressed us most was the service. Everyone working in the restaurant was friendly, helpful and pleasant. Anyone in the area, or those traveling on I-95 should stop by for a visit - you will not be disappointed. read more

Great little find on a recent road trip home to New York. We were craving steak and googled several places along the way. Fortunately for us, the other locations needed reservations or couldn't get us in until later in the evening. When we called "Olde Towne Steakhouse" we were about 15 minutes away and they said no problem, just come in and they'd find room. Well we did get their last table and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. We also met several folks from the area and had wonderful conversations. honestly, I don't normally take the time to do these reviews too much. but i ordered what they said was an aged ribeye, 10 ounces, and when it came out it was so think and cooked well even tho i ordered medium, couldn't cut too well and i have eaten ribeyes all my life and i'm 64 , there was no marbeling, it tasted like a sirloin, it honestly did, i spoke to waitress and she brought another one it was cooked better but still shaped and tasted like a sirloin, no marbeling at all, none. my husband said the same thing, this taste and looks more like a sirloin, the baked potato was cooked perfect. i truly believe that there is a bait and switch going on here. but if you like sirloin, then try it but its an expensive price for a sirloin passed off as a ribeye. we probably will not go again, drove quite a ways to try it, and we paid dearly for it. expect to pay for a nice steak dinner but this was not it, and i hate to say it because i like to see small businesses do well, but this steak was misrepresented at best read more

You probably think I'm being harsh recording two stars.... But when you say you're a steakhouse, and your steaks are nothing more than mediocre, I'm going to be rough on you. I am not family or friend so I can be honest. The steaks we had were the most expensive steaks on the menu. There are only 5 menu items. Our steaks were supposedly "aged". "Dry aged" according to the waitress. I watched the owner/ chef pull them out of what looked like a grocery store package. Probably not dry aged. As far as texture and flavor... I've had similar or better steaks at Texas Roadhouse, Outback, and Longhorn. It is common knowledge that they serve USDA "Select" grade steaks. Our steaks came with equally mediocre iceberg salad bar.. but in fairness, the home made blue cheese dressing was fantastic! Baked potato was also included. Won't go back. I tried this 'new' resturant with a friend,it is in an old store-front,very small,decorated country style,with an Open Kitchen area,we were the only customers in the place.Now,we went on a Thursday nite,so maybe thats why we had the whole place to ourselves,now to the food,prices,& staff.The menu is basically steak,baked potato,& small salad bar.The prices,I thought,were very high,$30 for a small ribeye,baked potato,& small salad.The salad bar is extremely small,they use a "cereal" size bowl for salad bowls(they need to correct this,use a SALAD bowl/plate for salads),the baked potato was very dry(adding butter & sour cream didn't help),the steak,was very flavorable & tender,but I could cook the same thing at home on my outdoor grill.The waitress,was eating & drinking in the kitchen area,which I did not especially like to see,she was not very "friendly",not sure if she has ever worked in a resturant before,definately,not a 'people-person'.Will I go back to the Olde Towne Steakhouse,probably NOT,will I recommend the Olde Towne Steakhouse to friends,probably NOT.You can go to Western Sizzlin' & get the exact same meal(with a salad bar four times the size of this one) for a third of the cost,I wish them luck,they have only been open less than a year & in an extremely small rural town where I don't think alot of folks can afford to spend $30 & up for a steak dinner. read more

husband and I were making the long haul from New Jersey To Florida. After passing dozens of chains we saw a listing for the Olde Towne Steakhouse in Micro, North Carolina. the menu is simple, steak, steak or steak. but if steak is what you love, this is the place to come. Best Rib Eye I have had in years. tender and tasty. The room was bright and warm. it was located in what was once an old general store, and the decoration honored its origins as well as the community around it. All the folks who worked there were warm and welcoming. if you are passing through this area, make it a point to plan to have dinner here. Only open thursday thru Saturday. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! Went tonight for dinner. Got there around 7:20p.m. at 8:00p.m., we notice the table that came in after us got "their" food. Come to find out, it was OUR food. The waitress did not even come tell us about the "mix-up." No, two more tables, yes that also came in after us, got their food. Finally, we stop the waitress and she fesses up - she gave our order to the other table and they were making ours now. The manager/cashier/hostess, or whoever she was, came by and said they were getting the order corrected. Needless to say, we sat and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, my husband's food comes out and we are told twice that my food is coming up right now....and we waited. Once I finally got my food, we tried to eat it - both steaks were dry and tasteless. And yes, food was left on our plates! What was so bad was the fact that the waitress messed up, and never really apologized and after messing up, would not even make eye contact with us, and only slowed by our table once to see if we were ok. The manager/cashier/hostess, or whoever she was, acted the same way. Then to top it off, our card locked up their machine, and the manager/cashier/hostess, or whoever she was, proceeded to act disgusted that our card had locked up our machine and told us we could walk down the street to the BB&T and get cash for the meal. Needless to say, it is the last time we will ever grace the doors of this establishment. No customer service, no home town atmosphere, and the food is not worth what they are charging!!! read more
